In-n-out is a very solid and consistent fast food chain with amazing burgers and customization. The location is good and the area around the restaurant is welcoming. Inside is just like any other cookie cutter In-n-out here in SoCal and employees maintain the inside and outside well. Wait times vary but I usually wait around 10-20 minutes, I usually come in the evenings. My usual order is a 3x3 animal style, no tomato, add whole grilled onions, extra toasted bun, fries, and a medium coke. The burger is always the star of the show here and for good reason, it's seasoned well, assembled nicely, and very fresh. The fries do lack and they get cold easily. Which food wise is the only negative I have. Overall In-n-out is always an amazing choice whenever you are craving a great burger. So I was at a training in Compton and we were given a 1 hour lunch break. 3 of us decided to try out In-N-Out Burger since in was it was only 5 minutes away. It was noon and we were expecting long lines but it was quite the contrary. No long lines. We were able to find parking in their parking lot which is shared by many other businesses. Inside the restaurant, it was very clean. I had to use the restroom when we arrived and the entire women's restroom was very clean. I ordered the double double burger meal. My colleagues ordered similar. The burgers are made to order and they were very good. I also got a chocolate shake. Everything was up to par. My husband and I were in the area for a rugby game at the nearby Dignity Health Sports Park at CSUDH. He was hungry so he looked up the nearest In-N-Out which happened to be in Compton about a mile away. This little strip mall area is fairly new and we parked easily in the lot. It's right off of the 91 FWY. The drive-thru set up is a little interesting but we wanted to go inside. The ladies restroom was mostly clean but one of the stalls was out of service and did not have a sign. Once I was done washing my hands, I went to order. We were greeted and the cashier took the order. She repeated it but got it wrong somehow, we ordered a #1 (plus various toppings, AS, chopped chiles, no pickles, fries LW, X-toast) and another DD. Once we cleared up the confusion, we went to grab a table. The place was busy at 2:40 pm but we found a table. Our food was soon ready. Our burgers were made correctly. The fries were crispy and not soggy. If you order it light well, it'll come out perfect every time. They have nugget ice at the drink dispenser so my husband went ham with the Coke. The thing about In-N-Out is that it is consistently made fresh and that you know what to expect. It's one of the few fast food places I will continue to eat at because of its consistency. The tables, chairs, and the bathroom were spotless and very clean. Next, their COVID procedures were great with their contactless soda fountain and having to get utensils, condiments, and napkins from an employee rather than from a community space.
