Chicken Teriyaki Bowl and Carne Asada Fries

My husband and I came here on a whim and had a great experience! I got the chicken teriyaki plate with vegetables, he got carne asada fries. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The portion sizes were huge and definitely worth the price. The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was also very clean and well maintained, which made the experience even more enjoyable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was also a ton of parking reserved for customers, and a drive thru for convenience. We'll definitely be back!

Down the street from cal state Fullerton. Plenty of options to choose from. The teriyaki plate was pretty good and they give you a huge portion. The service was outstanding. Was going to a cafe down the street but it was completely packed so I came here instead. I honestly didn't expect much coming in here because it seemed very casual and had a drive thru. The service actually turned out to be great. The lady checked up on us plenty of times, she set our table for us too which I didn't expect from a casual place like this where you order at the register. One issue I did have was that I ordered the $11.99 breakfast combo and asked to upgrade the toast to French toast and I'll pay the difference. The lady understood and even repeated it at the end, but she changed my order to the $15.99 big breakfast combo which was the same as the $11.99 one except she said this one came with French toast. When my food came out, she gave me pancakes and told me I had to pay extra for the French toast. I asked her if she remembered me ordering French toast and she said yes, so I'm just unsure where things were unclear. Basically I got charged extra for something I didn't order and then was asked to pay more for the correct one. Aside from that, the food was good, a typical breakfast platter. The eggs were cooked perfect. I just hope that if I decide to come back I can receive the correct order in the future.

Yes they have teriyaki bowls. With my harty appetite I ordered a beef teriyaki bowl and a protein style double cheeseburger and added mushroom bacon and avocado. Both were really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice clean restaurant and friendly staff[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Yo! I love this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is super clean well run.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is super friendly and the food is awesome. They have a great menu, including plenty of burgers, Mexican food and the teriyaki is off the charts. If you are anywhere in the area, I highly recommend you stop in and check it out. I don't think anybody would not be able to find something they're gonna like on the menu.

I've been eating at Fantasy since 2006 back when they used to be on State College. I don't know why it took me this long to write a review but here goes! Their food is the definition of flavor. The portions are beyond generous. The wait time is non existent. There has not been a single time in which I have been displeased or wronged in any way whatsoever over the course of a decade and a half. Must try items from the menu: Breakfast Burrito (Choose all three meats and ask for extra sauce) Tuna melt Chicken Teriyaki Plate Fantasy Burger (Ask for the fries to be well done and buy one or two ranch) Chili Cheese Fries (Ask for extra cheese) Since this is so close to Pepes, you'd think it's a hard choice between the two but I assure you (I've been eating at Pepe's since 2001), Fantasy is better hands down. 9.5/10 read more

The chicken terriyaki bowls are really good! They always pack on the meat unlike flame or waba grill and it taste 100 times better! I come here for lunch often and never get tired of it . They are pretty fast at preparing your order in a timely fashion as well. read more

There was one car in the drive-thru, but there might as well have been 5 with the amount of time I waited behind this one car. I almost got out of my car and went inside. I ordered one of the burger meals and yes, it was good. A few days later, I went inside and tried their pancakes for lunch and received faster, better service and the pancakes were amazing! I definitely recommend going inside instead of through the drive-thru. read more

8am during COVID and what's the breakfast of champions? Burgers! Craving burgers and my dad told me about a decent mom-pop diner in Placentia. Located across a dental building and a few minutes from the freeway it is in a strip mall with a juice store. There is nothing special on the menu and very standard. Ordered a Sourdough Burger, Bacon Cheeseburger, side of chili, and hash brown with bacon. The food came out quickly while I waited in drive-thru. Most likely because there weren't many patrons in the morning. The quality was pretty good and if I was in the area and needed a bite to eat I would come back. And yes they make burgers all day! I will attach a photo of how they serve you in the restaurant and two of how they served me for DRIVE THRU it is unbelievable disappointing!!! $10 per plate and I didn't even get full nor my mother horrible review if you want to get drive thru but good if you eat there but with this COVID only doing drive thru never again will I go there !!! This became a hot spot for me after my first time trying it a while back. But since then it seems the food quality has suffered little by little with each visit. Currently, I would say they have fast food quality meals at a premium price.. They have a pretty decent sized menu (some of my original favorites were any of their burgers, the teriyaki chicken bowls, and the grilled cheese). The food, while not perfect, is still very edible.. Most important, stay away from the drive-thru unless you have nothing going on in life. You may be waiting 20+ minutes for their mediocre food, and that line can get long... With all that said, the employees are all very friendly. While I may not be 100% with their food quality, the service is excellent. read more

I love the Teriyaki plate and fried zuccini here. I stopped here for the first time visiting and friend and it was a nice place to eat. Service was great, and the place was pretty crowded during lunch. Not very far from Brea Mall and all. Nice menu choices. Really wanna come back for lunch again. read more

A corner burger joint! Not much else to say lol. My favorite dish here is the teriyaki chicken bowl. Burgers and other fare is good and typical of corner burger joints. I've been coming to fantasy burger since I was in high school back in 2010 and there's a reason I keep coming back. Everything is top tier. You want yummy food and attentive staff? COME HERE. Their breakfast burrito is to this day, my favorite go-to breakfast burrito. I've tried many other places breakfast burritos to find a replacement because I no longer live close to Fantasy Burger. But when I'm in fullerton I always get my breakfast burrito fix here. And they are still my favorite. I've had their breakfast burritos, bacon cheeseburgers, fries, teriyaki chicken plate, French toast. There's a reason Fantasy is still a business today. Locals love it. I will continue to be a loyal customer here. Love this place. Pepe's? Never heard of them. read more

I used to go to their old location years ago, given I was raised in the area this place is one of my favorites. Granted I usually get the same things it never fails to satisfy!! Their breakfast burritos are the best I always stick to the bacon for breakfast. For lunch their fantasy burger is huge and can def feed two people, aside from that their teriyaki is bomb and can also feed two people. I had their bacon breakfast sandwich today I can't say it was my favorite but aside from that I don't think I'll ever stop coming here I highly recommend! read more

Things change. This was my favorite teriyaki but Covid seems to have killed the magic. +20% prices, portion smaller and chicken dry. Tiny sauce cup. Still better than Flame Broiler but only marginally. Can no longer enthusiastically recommend. Sad face. read more

This review is about their famous teriyaki. Its the best. Hands down. Charbroiled perfection and not swimming in sauce, like some other burger places. Every table you see has at least one teriyaki plate. It comes with salad and rice, however I get mine without rice. I try and eat most meals low carb, because ive been maintaining a 25lb weight loss since 2016. Even without the rice, I often cannot finish the plate. Its that big. I love the italian salad dressing, I pour it on my chicken. We have been eating here for years and will continue to do so. read more

I was at CSU Fullerton and I found this place a few blocks away. I was hoping to get a good burger. The place had a family-run feel to it and I prefer the family run joints rather than national chains. Fantasy Burger serves breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, and Mexican food. It was a bit warm - temperature wise - in the dining area, not too bad but definitely warmer than I like it to be. There were no ceiling fans and it did not feel like the AC was running. If it was, it was definitely set to too high a temperature. The restaurant was clean and based upon what I saw other customers being served, it looks like the portions are on the larger side. Their Teriyaki Chicken platter over rice was huge! I ordered a Bacon Cheese Burger (no onion) with Fries and my food arrived in a timely manner, was correct and hot! The burger tasted great. The burger patty was on the thin side but reached the sides of the bun and beyond! Lettuce, pickle and tomato were fresh and good tasting. The bun was fresh! The burger was, in fact, exactly what I was hoping for! These Mom and Pop places know how to cook a burger in my opinion. 4/5 stars for Fantasy Burger. It would be 5/5 except for the overly warm dining area. read more

I really like this hamburger joint. It's not only good for hamburgers the menu is pretty diverse. My top three favorite are the cheese burger, the carne asada burrito with green salsa on the side and the chicken and beef teriyaki dinner plate. The service is good and pretty fast. Delicious! Staff is so nice!!! Prices are a little high ($9 for a bacon avocado cheeseburger...). Just the burger...This is a hamburger stand. That's a LOT. Flavor and portions are spot on. Never had a bad meal or experience at Fantasy Burger. It's never so busy that you have to wait an hour, at least in my experience. We'll keep eating here as long as we're in the area!! read more

My family has been coming here for the past 5 years or so. It's quality food, we order from them at least once a week. Teriyaki chicken is awesome. The chili cheese fries are my daughter's favorite. Just one advice for everyone, make sure your food is fresh. Last time, it was the teriyaki chicken, it was reheated and served to us. You can tell the difference. This time, it was the chili cheese fries. It was microwaved and it didn't taste the same. My daughter hardly ate it. I mentioned it to the cashier and I asked for my money back and she kind of ignored me. Food is awesome, just make sure it's fresh. Management should make sure this doesn't happen again because they will lose our business. read more

Was looking for a burger and actually heading to Sonic when I drove by this place and thought "Why not?" Building looks clean enough. Approached the drive-thru and I think I was welcomed in Spanish. Not a bad thing, just stating that's what happened. I assume she said can I help you so I went ahead with my order, the hamburger combo. Simple enough. She was super friendly and spoke English the rest of the time. One vehicle in front of me was taking a while. No problem, I'm not in a hurry. I finally pulled up, paid in cash, and waited. OK - so this place is not super fast. However, if they are making the food fresh, I can wait. The window opens, my bag is there. She asks me what the drink was again, and I tell her Diet Coke. She hands me the order and says burger and crispy fries. Dang the bag was heavy! My brain though, I don't think I ordered crispy fries so either that's how they come, or they burnt an order a little to long and that's their selling point. If the later - bonus points for covering up a mistake! I could see the conversation in the kitchen "Opps, fries down a little to long. Tell the customers we're selling crispy fries for a while!". Well, when I got home, I realized why the bag was heavy. It wasn't my order! It was a nice grilled chicken sandwich. I now realize who ever ordered this must have asked for crispy fries (which were actually pretty good). So 2 stars for not getting my order correct and being slow. read more

There was plenty of space in the dining area. The decor was very comfortable and rural and a little kitsch. And the vibe of the place was just super lowkey and relaxed. I had my entire meal at a relaxed pace here. Sure, it's a little pricey for a meal here, but I feel that's all deli if they be of any quality. I would gladly pay for any meal here over like a fast food one. It's also kind of a drive to get here for me, but a deli is like a monthly occurrence and not a weekly one for me so that's not a concern. All in all, I think this is going to be hitting my rotation quite often going forward.

The bacon cheeseburger was classic and satisfying; it had that old-school diner vibe I love. The mixed teriyaki plate was pleasant and delicious. I stopped by this burger/teriyaki place on a whim and I'm so glad I did. The food was delicious, perfectly grilled chicken with that slightly caramelized edge, plenty of sauce, and super fresh veggies. The portions were generous (definitely enough for leftovers), and the rice was cooked just right. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and my order was ready quicker than expected. I come in almost every other week to this place and I love literally around the corner behind this place. The customer service is decent but the owners are racist. They sell Mexican food but don't care about the people they just care about making money. I see that the female cashier's are uncomfortable with the owner. Don't come to this place take your business somewhere else! The shady part is that they don't even let people review their business and keep the real reviews in the dark. read more

Went in by chance yesteday and the chicken teriyaki was out of this world delicious. Char broiled to perfection with very good portion.
