Very frustrating and deceiving with their ads they expressed fifty five dollars a month I go down there to take care of paperwork then they expressed to me there's gonna be more than $55 a month because they want me to buy their insurance for theft insurance for earthquake and saw one of which would've brought my monthly up over $30 on top of the 55 very frustrating and loses the lack of trust read more

The people who run this place are very unprofessional. I called to cancel my space after removing my belongings. They continued to bill me. When I called the facility, "Gabby" hung up on me when I tried to explain to her my prior conversation and the fact I was told the space was cancelled. I called back four times before she answered the phone. She admitted hanging up on me and said I interrupted her. It was actually the other way around. She refused to discuss the situation with me and acted like a snotty teenager. She could not have been more unprofessional. read more

Super easy, friendly. Was my first time having to use a storage unit. It's easy to use. They have drive up small storage units but even if u don't get the drive up for the small units, The units that do not have drive up access are considerably close to the drive up. So no long hallways like I've seen at other storage units. read more

Spoke with Vickie and knew before I even met her that I was with the right person at the right place again. This company is amazing in how they hire the right people. Great customer service. I reserved a storage unit online (only one or two left of that size) and then hopped in my car to do the paperwork. Vickie Maldonado was prepared to greet me and show me the available unit, which was clean, overhead lighting operable, door opened smoothly, etc. Vickie and other staff person were pleasant and very helpful. The office and property overall very clean and organized. The paperwork was a snap. I feel safe running over there on my own to the unit to drop off or pick up my belongings while I am in the middle of relocating. read more

Throughout my life I have had to use many storage units at various times. I have used some of the top names like: Public Storage, U-Haul Storage, US Storage and Mini U Storage, among a few other smaller private facilities. I have never received the professional, considerate, and exemplary treatment that I have from Vicki at Extra Space Storage. The facility is flawless. It is clean, well maintained and extremely safe. Working with Vicki is always a pleasure. She is always friendly and ready to help you with any of your storage needs. She was very kind and patient when helping us pick out our storage unit and went over everything we needed to know. It was a breeze. I have never seen, or heard of any mishaps, or shenanigans going on here, like other storage facilities. The gate and all of the facility is clean and highly maintained, and in top working condition. Two of the storage companies I have mentioned have had gate malfunctioning, so during the day they have just left them open for anyone to come and go, at will. I really can't say enough good things about Vicki and this storage facility. I am just very grateful I have finally found an outstanding, reasonably priced, extremely safe and professional place to store my treasured belongings, and stuff I just haven't had a chance to get rid of yet. This place is awful. We have had a storage unit there for three years because of a move. We were finally able to get out of there this past week. Its a scary place to go to alone as there are so many transient people coming and going on bikes that seem to be living in the units. We have complained in the past but nothing seemed to change. We went to clean out the unit after not having been there for a few months (I avoided going there unless absolutely necessary) only to discover someone had cut the metal wall separating their unit from ours and made an opening to climb through. We discovered stuff missing and filed a police report. It's a joke how this kind of thing goes on there without any of the management noticing or hearing anything. This place is not monitored well or they are turning a blind eye. I don't know. We've had other storage units at different locations that had alarms and were looked after really well. Glad to be done with it. Sketchy place. And I live nearby. read more

If you have money then it's awesome aside from the homeless population that seems to reside throughout the storage facility. I rented a small storage unit approx. 4' x 14'. They rented it to me as a 5 x 15. Oh well I'm not gonna get all technical over that. Go ahead and put your cherry on top. I rented it about three years ago for $78 a month with a discount the first month like they all do. Now maybe I've been lazy or ignorant for the past few years but every year they raise the rent. About a year ago a new owner took it over and has been raising the rent every 6 to 7 months. I just got my second raise of rent notice this year for another $13 dollars taking me up to $146 a month for my 4foot by 14foot storage unit. My unit is 56 square feet. They are charging me nearly $3 a foot for storage. I've worked in real estate before. Do you know what costs nearly $3 a square foot? Store front retail space at a top notch mall. The most expensive real estate is store front in a mall and apparently Extra Space Storage in Ventura on Laurel ave. Unless you don't have the means to drive to the facilities near Market street where they are nearly half the price as this storage facility. I highly recommend avoiding this storage facility like the fricken plague. $146 a month for 56square feet. I'm finally getting off my butt and clearing it out this week. No more. Shame on you scandalous corporations and your evil methods of doing business. This is highway robbery. How about going to back a few decades and treating your customers that abide by the rules with rewards rather than raping them like this. I will be posting a negative comment on all websites about Extra Space Storage in Ventura because others need to avoid giving them any business. This is a disgusting business practice. And your facility has at least half a dozen homeless people always wandering the storage hallways and leaving urine smelling clothing everywhere. At least clean up your facility if you're going to charge like it is on Rodeo Drive. Happily Taking My Business Elsewhere!!! read more
