I've only had my storage for a couple months, but so far everything is great. Only drawback is the limited (7AM-7PM) access hours. When I signed up, Felicia was very helpful with answering all my questions, and she was very upfront about everything - fees, conditions, etc. Storage is clean and secure. Plenty of room for everything I need to store in their smallest unit. Yesterday I had to access my storage for the first time. No problems related to the storage (but my car died). I went to the office to ask about a jump. It was about 6:00 PM and the guy (not Nick, it was a weekend guy) already had the place locked up (access is until 7:00 PM and the office closes at 6:00 PM). He still unlocked it when I knocked, and attempted to help me. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I made a reservation at 12 and showed up at 1145 did not get helped or my uhaul until 1:15. People who didn't even have a reservation were seen and serviced before me. In addition the guy left the store and made everyone get out every single time to go get each truck. Completely unprofessional. Will not be using this company again. read more

Unreliable and rude! I made a reservation by phone and got a confirmation email two weeks before my move date. The morning before my move I awake to a voicemail that they forgot that they are closed on Sundays. I call them back and the manager tells me that they will be closed tomorrow and they have no truck for me, regardless of my reservation. I asked him what can we do toresolve this, since my move is tomorrow and how will I get a truck on a weekend with no notice? He told me sorry, nothing he can do, good luck and hung up. I highly recommend you go ANYWHERE ELSE if you want any amount of professionalism or basic respect. read more

BEWARE!!! DO NOT RENT MOVING EQUIPMENT FROM THIS LOCATION. I had rented a 1 day rental truck from this location. I had no problem at the pick up. I returned the truck fuel topped off and drop the truck off after hours because I had ran into some delays. They told me that was fine and they will process the drop off in the morning. I received the email of contract and final price of rental. They charged an additional day of rental plus fuel charge of $42.40 for 5.3 gallons. First of all, I was told by Penske representatives when I made the reservation over the phone that an additional day is a 24 hour period. When I called golden state storage about after hour drop off they never mentioned I would be charged a full additional day. If I would've of known I would've returned the truck the next morning and had resolved this in person when they would've been open. My main complaint is how they handled the fuel charges. I called and talk to Felícia and she explained the truck had only 15/16 of the tank full. Not the 16/16 it was when I picked up the truck. I explained to her I had refueled the truck twice and both times I observed the fuel gauge did not mark up to the "F". The fuel pump clicked OFF when full and I would see the fuel to the edge of the top in the tank. Keep in mind this is a diesel truck so the tank is on the side where you can visually see it full. On the final fuel up I was only 2 miles away from golden storage. I had filled the tank and kept pumping in fuel after it clicked off twice. I saw it was full but the gauge did not peg at the "F". I have had an issue like this in the past I explained it to an actual "Penske dealer" and they agreed it will not show full sometimes. When I explained this to Felicia she told me they only observe the fuel gauge and it was not at the "F" full. But she was good to explain that you would have to keep pumping fuel until you are at the edge of the fill spout. Which I believe is a spill hazard waiting to happen. Her tone of voice changed during the conversation and was in a hurry to end the conversation with me. She told me she would personally call me back when they fuel the truck up. 30 minutes later I received a voicemail from Felicia saying that they fueled the truck and the charges are final. So I called back and Felicia was not available. So I was told by the person that he filled the truck up and it did need to be filled up more. Keep in mind I'm being charged $8 a gallon for 5.3 gallons. So I asked for a copy of the fuel receipt to show the amount of fuel it took. He said NO that is not how the process works. That they are contracted with Penske and they just have to go by their rules. I seriously cannot believe how they handled this poorly. I will definitely not recommend this place to anyone nor Penske for that matter. There are other better locations for storage and rentals. I had to come here because of a last minute rental truck. read more

Besides the units having bugs inside them, Nick is a complete idiot. Called today due to a pre-lien being placed on a unit, and as greed takes over, they would not take off the pre-lien fee that was placed on it this morning. I have had issues before with this location, but as a simple minded person, I let it go due to someone having a bad day, but not anymore. I would not recommend this location to anyone, or you will be hit with every fee imaginable. read more

No issue about the area and my storage except for the Manager who's is extremely a bitch and extremely very rude and very disrespectful. She won't even give you a chance to finish talking. She's so snaughty , so ill mannered. I can't wait to get my stuff out of that place. read more
