Update: Spencer T, is that what you were told? Because I'm sure you have audio and video recording in the front office. So either, you've been lied to by your employees, or you are covering for them and being deceitful. Everything I've said is completely true. I actually DID offer to put my name on the lease. If you review your security camera, you will see that I put my credit card and my ID on the counter. And you can certainly hear me say that I would put the lease in my name, if you could hear my voice over that awful commercial country music which was playing in the background. I even sent you my ID to your email.
Don't worry, I'm also sorry that I had this experience with your company. I'm actually surprised how such a simple thing could go so wrong..
As for yelling profanities, please check the tape. I might have called Mary a terrible person who should be ashamed of herself, but I did not lobby profanityat her. And I've only said that because she said "if you had signed the lease earlier in the week, this wouldn't have happened" as she turned me away. After I had driven 40 minutes because she could not email me the lease. It's not good customer service to blame someone after you are unable to give them service due to a technical error. I see that you are trying to make me sound unreasonable, which I am. What type of person would leave this review? Someone who felt slighted.
Why isn't your application process as easy as public storage or any of the other chains? It's not hard to get white label software and update your system. How expensive is a subscription to docusign?. In fact, I encourage anyone who has read these crazy ramblings to try and decipher what you are signing when you sign the lease on mobile.
Seriously, I had no issue with whose name was on the lease, but you have to be able to email it to me. I gave you the credit card information over the phone and everything. I was trying my hardest to rent from you.
If you want to talk to me personally, you have my number

I would like to start off by saying that there is no excuse for the treatment I was given at this location, and their incompetence and complete lack of empathy has put my property, which I worked hard for, at risk. The worst part though, is I was summarily insulted by a representative of this company as I was turned away.
This all started with the application process, which is extremely tedious and unnecessarily complicated. I say unnecessarily complicated because whichever software they are using to sign documentation is so outdated and not mobile friendly. Why not just use docusign? It can't be that expensive.
I actually canceled the first application because my 84 year old friend, whom I was helping rent this space, could not understand the lease with the formating iilssue. She was unable to fill out the contract.
Upon the second application, we were told that we would have the lease emailed to us. Even though I called once, and they called me once regarding the transmission of the lease application, a system glitch prevented me from getting it. So I drive 45 minutes to the location to apply in person. Upon arrival, Mary attempts to fill out my application with the new information, but at this point I've had it. We have to start this process all over again. I leave, saying sorry but it's not going to work out. Nowhere during this interaction was I disrespectful, just very frustrated. I can't find another place within an hour to rent, so I immediately return and ask if we can try again. Mary proceeds to tell me that she cannot rent to me because "the system is down". So here's a picture of all my stuff loaded in the back of my truck. I had a reasonable expectation that I could store it today because I had cash in hand, my ID, and I had sent all the preliminary information and because I was told I could rent that day.
The worst part is, Mary, this lost soul has the audacity to blame me. She cites me canceling the first application. This is the reason I am upset, and this is the reason I am leaving this long-winded review. How about you don't add insult to injury, Mary? read more
