I dropped off a cash payment and received one phone call the next day. I was informed I was short $1. I was surprised because I remember going to Vallarta to get change for my $20 at 6:30 am. I counted out the exact payment but I thought, ok, maybe I was short, it was early, I could have missed a dollar. She sounded very nice so I didn't think much more of it, other then I made a simple mistake and we even laughed about it. At the same time I was embarrassed and I apologized. I don't know how I missed that but she seemed very understanding over the phone. Fast forward, I'v been in and out of the office because of health issues and I return to work to find a letter from Vineyard Storage stating I was late on my payment and now I owe $64. Then I call the office to inform them that I made my payment but I had spoken to someone already that I was just short $1. The girl proceeded to tell me they had called me several times and now I owe not just $64 but it's $89 now. (Are you kidding me!!) I only spoke with a girl once. Now looking at the comments I think to myself, was I really short $1. Very sneaky!!!!

When we did so no one told us the amount of dirt, debris that would come into the unit because we were upstairs with an exposed opening. I expect dust but not the amount that comes in because they've left it fully exposed to the attic space When you're moving quickly, you don't think about that and the management here neglected to advise you of how incredibly dirty your belongings would be. And now some of our stuff is actually ruined because of the amount of dust and debris that got into it. I spoke with someone in the office about it, but they really could care less. Do not rent a space here. And if you must make sure it's on the bottom floor protected from the elements that they've allowed to come into upstairs units.

When I unwrapped it today, the light shade and structure were turned upside down did not fit correctly as before. There was a phone call the day after the move to review if everything went well. I had not registered that the lamp was still unwrapped, but today, I quickly learned it was not the same. I had to rate the review from 5 to 4 stars.

I called and spoke with Debbie (she was rude) and found out that rent had been increased in July by $5! I have never been notified and only received a voice mail on August 16 only to state. that I needed to return a phone call to Debbie. well I tried 5 times that day having to leave a voice mail. she never phoned me again until today. $65 due to late charges on a $5 a month bill increase that I was never informed about until today! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL BE VACATING MY STORAGE. I will not do business with Esplanade Storage any longer. she would not give me her supervisors name or how I could reach them. I did ask her to please have them call me. no call today! unit C094 i also, just found out today that the previous managers Bill and Karen no longer are there due to Karen passing away in June. RIP Karen! Bill and Karen knew how to take care of their customers! Going to miss you two!
