She made the company sound organized, reliable, and worth the price. Unfortunately, what followed did not reflect that impression. Although the company presents itself as a California-based operation with its own fleet, our belongings were transported more than 2,000 miles in what appeared to be a standard rental truck with a trailer attached. Our suitcases were placed loose in the open back of the truck exposed to dirt, weather, and potential theft. They were not transported in a secured moving vehicle, and by the time everything arrived in Florida, several items were dirty and damaged. The delivery process was especially frustrating. My husband was pressured into helping unload everything, yet they still expected a tip afterward, but he did most of the heavy lifting.We were also charged extra to have our items brought to our door, even though the truck could have parked directly in front of the building. The driver simply chose not to because it was inconvenient. We had missing and damaged items, including lamp parts, table legs, and a damaged KitchenAid due to careless handling. While the pickup crew in California was professional, the delivery team was disorganized and rushed. To make things worse, we were told at the last minute that our building supposedly didn't allow Saturday deliveries. The driver said our belongings could either be left on the side of the road or placed into storage at our expense...even though we paid for door to door delivery and were never informed of any restrictions and this is a very long move as is. This was not an inexpensive service, and the experience did not come close to matching the promises made during the sales process. When a company positions itself as premium, the gap between what is sold and what is delivered becomes impossible to ignore especially when they try to charge you extra for every step of the way. I wish my experience had been different, but unfortunately, it wasn't.

Something I learned from this cross country move process is that when you are dealing with the trucking industry, there are a lot of unknowns as far as dates and transit times. So many factors lead to that, and the process is confusing and frustrating- no matter who you go with... Ashley Movers is the only company I quoted with that actually tells you that! Brokers and big companies will say literally anything to book the deal and then leave you shocked at the wait times for your stuff to get there.... I wanna give some kudos to these guys who will be up front about what you can expect - even if it's not what you want to hear. They work with you, are communicative, and very calmly explain how they can help you - even if you aren't the most calm. Worst moving experience ever!! I had a contract with American Moving Company they subcontracted…read morethese guys? Now the people who came were nice and professional and did do a good job? But they took less than 1/2 what I originally had in the contract because I took a load myself? Then they still wanted more $ and said they didn't have room? That was not a big deal because I was hauling a trailer myself that still had room.. Now here is where the problems really started is the day before the delivery day they said it will be an extra $700 for a convenience fee that they can not deliver with a semi to my address? I live in the country in Tennessee with a private road where I'm the only house ? Not like I live in the city or an apartment? The horse shippers had no problem delivering in their Semi? The guy down the street has his own semi and trailer? It was just an excuse to extort more $$!! So when I called them out on it that's when they got rude! Then I got rude back! And they are refusing to deliver my stuff? There is zero customer service!! So then I looked on FB and was horrified by all the negative reviews!! Do not use them!! Pay more and use a real company like Allied!! I went with them to save $$ but they do that so you sign! And once you sign you are screwed! And the original nice guy who came to my house said that they could not put any more in the truck because they had to get somebody else's stuff that was moving to Tennessee also and that's the same truck that was going? And if they did move it to a semi? They had no permission to do so!! And if they had the address in the beginning? Who would they add $700 later? It should have been in the contract!!
