You do not get extended hours if you sign up for monthly autopay, you get restricted hours of 9a-5p (from the posted access hours of 6a-8p) if you don't. This distinction escapes the staff and customer service team. We discovered this one morning when trying to access the facility. I called the customer service line and the agent I spoke to was EXTREMELY rude. Despite confirmation that our dues were paid, they would not allow us to access our unit and made us wait 20 minutes until our 'access time' started. The rates here are no better than the rest of the local market. We selected this place based on location NOT based on service or value. This was really close to a two star rating for the the misrepresentation of access hours and 'extended hours' as well as the horrendous customer service experience I had on the phone. At the end of the day, the unit is clean(ish) and conveniently located (for us) and the service issue was largely attributed to off site employees. read more

StorQuest is great mainly due to their manager Tamara. She is always friendly, professional and helpful. I see her frequently checking on units to make sure that everything is maintained ship-shape. The units are spotless and well maintained. I had rented a unit with another agency prior to Storquest. They allowed someone to store produce, which made the place smell like a garbage can -- not to mention attracting roaches and mice, which of course found their way into my unit. You won't find that at Storquest. I recently had an emergency and needed to move to a larger unit. Tamara was patient and showed me several units available. It's unfortunate that I must leave negative feedback about this business however they have left me no alternative. A friend had a storage space and was experiencing financial difficulties paying, so to assist my friend and storequest, I stepped up and paid the bill so that neither party suffered a loss. Eventually my friend moved out of space which was communicated to Storequest. Here's where it gets problematic: Storquest continued to bill my credit card 900.00/month. I made them aware of issue and they refuse to reverse the charge. In their defense, the space was finally empty and turned over to them the day after the charge was made on credit card. I offered to prorate and pay for the 1 day, but they refused and charged 900.00. So I am paying for a month of storage but have no access as they have deprogrammed my gate code and locked my space. I did not sign a contract as this is not my space so I do not feel obligated to pay. Unfortunately the district manger has chosen to take advantage of the situation rather than do the right thing. As a result I cannot recommend this company. MY FRIEND WAS ABLE TO FIND THE SAME SIZE SPACE AT EXTRA SPACE STORAGE FOR $375.00! I RECOMMENDED EXTRA SPACE ON 5th STREET IN OXNARD. While this facility isn't sparkly new like some of the others in town, it is the cheapest and best bang for your buck. Last night, Tamara contacted me at home, informing me that my car cover had been blown off by the dangerously high winds reported in Ventura County. I quickly rushed over to the site and while I was replacing the cover, I witnessed Tamara, not only driving around checking the premises, but actually inspecting various vehicle covers/tarps ensuring their effectiveness against the wind. Horrible horrible wait times with nowhere to sit and wait. Store is way too busy for one person to be working. And no lights in 5X10 storage rooms. Every time I've come here I have waited at least 40 minutes. Today there was a wait time of an hour and a half to be helped by customer service. The customer service rep was courteous and apologetic. This storage facility differentiates itself from its competitors by delivering sub-par service. You're familiar with the kind of service that is barely good enough to keep you but always irking you to search other options. In our last visit we were rudely greeted by Giselle and Dahlia, two assistant managers who have a lot to learn about managing and assisting (where's Cliff Paul when you need him). We could not find our gate code and were rudely and half attentively un-assisted. I guess you could call them un-assistant managers specializing in not being helpful while crawling under your skin with their negative attitudes and horrible people skills. If you can avoid using this storage facility I would highly recommend doing so. Of course they are helpful to get you signed in, but every experience after that has been less than sufficient. read more

I wouldn't even want to give one star but I don't think you can give zero stars. First off our brand new 5th wheel trailer has been hit twice in the year we have been there. Secondly today was the 3 time we were not able to re-store our trailer because the vehicle parked next to us was to big. The front desk said " what do you want us to do we need to rent the space". So if you value your vehicle and would like to be able to drop your vehicle when you return it to this facility this is not the place for you. We are currently looking for a new location. read more
