    Disgusting. Do not rent here. In the 8 months we rented there the price went up twice, first bill was $129 third bill was $166, two months after that it went to $197. We cleaned out our unit and found mouse poop and pee all over the unit. It was not like that when we moved in. I brought it to their attention and they said "yeah we know don't worry we clean it" excuse me!?? So you knew you have a mouse problem on SECOND STORY INSIDE UNITS and that's not a problem for you?? The reason we decided to store out stuff here was because they advertise 24/7 availability but that in fact isn't true. You can only access your stuff from 6am-10pm. When I asked why they advertise 24/7 she said "well we are available by phone 24/7" for what?? Save your money and go elsewhere.

    7x10. Indoor, climate controlled. $197.55 after the adjustment. $98 rent when you look on their website.

    The nightmare continues. Kevin calls and said they agreed to lower the increase. I thought he meant the total bill was now $180.55. That would mean an increase from $174 to $180.55. About 4% instead of 27%. I suppose I can stomach that even if I've only moved in 4 months ago. More billing issues (which he warned and turned off autopay so I wouldn't be overcharged. Much appreciated there) as expected. A couple days later his supervisor credited the difference which he informed me on another call. Then when I went to pay the bill today I realized. My exact unit size, and conditions, was going for $98 online. On top of that, my rent is $180.55 PLUS the insurance plan $17 making it $197.55 total. This equals a 13.5% increase overall from Octobers $174. Better than the original % but wow. A new customer would be paying half what I am. I guess their plan is just to raise their rent after 4 months as well. Unbelievable. In all my years of various storage facilities I've never encountered this. I had used this facility a couple years ago for about a year and didn't have this insane predatory increase and pricing structure which is why I came back. I had even recommended it to others. Now I'm doing the exact opposite and telling everyone to STAY AWAY FROM HERE.

    absolutely do not rent here. an employee left because of this companies immoral business practices! securespace corperate doubled my rent in 6 months with no recourse. i was sold on they wont jack up rent but it was a total lie. employees are nice and are trying to advocate for the customers. do not use this business. i am leaving

    Water damage to my unit

    Because of their construction, tenants were required to move units. Items in the unit I moved to were water damaged because of the contractors in June 2023. I am still waiting for the claim to be resolved. In September, tenants were asked to move yet again. When I asked to see the unit they are providing for me, it was smaller than the unit I was forced to move into earlier in the year and they were not able to accommodate me so I told them on Sept 2 I was moving my things out which I did on Sept. 9. I was told I would get a refund, and that has still not happened despite my numerous phone calls and visits to the office. Very poorly managed facility.

    What a stupid place!! You don't get storage units, because you have to move stuff at a minutes notice. People live out of state and have storage units for exactly same reason. Due to construction offered to move my 10x10 unit to 2 smaller 10x5! Great, happy to work with you guys! But see the pics to the units they are offering! It was almost get the f out kind of deal... so f you guys back. !!!! No thanks, for just adding up the work load !! I love the professional attitude of your staff too ( all sarcasms intended!)

    My experience at this location on Grande Vista in Newbury Park has been beyond disappointing. I have an actual recording of her raising her voice and yelling at me for simply asking a question -- not arguing, not complaining, just asking a question. And it didn't stop there. My husband called the facility separately with a simple question of his own, and she yelled at him too. A customer calling to ask a question should never be met with that kind of response -- ever. This is not someone who should be managing a facility or interacting with customers. Her behavior is hostile, inappropriate, and frankly unacceptable. So I did what any reasonable person would do -- I contacted corporate and asked to speak with the district manager. I started calling in early December, once or twice a week, sometimes more. Customer service told me the district manager would return my call within 48 hours. It took him nearly three months. Eric finally called me back at the end of February, and after all that waiting, I was met with nothing but attitude and dismissiveness. Rather than listening or showing any empathy, he essentially told me to find somewhere else to store my belongings because of some late payments. What Eric apparently didn't stop to consider is that I have been dealing with serious health issues and have been in and out of the hospital -- not that a paying customer should ever have to justify that to be treated with basic respect. The lack of professionalism and compassion from someone in a district manager position was truly shocking.
