This place is the BEST! I have rented from several storage facilities over the years, both corporate and small businesses and this place is by far the BEST storage company I have ever rented with! I was on a first-name basis with the owner and the staff. They remembered me every time I walked in the door and were very accommodating. I rented with them for 6 over years for my small business storage, and I can't recommend them enough. They are organized, have a very clean facility and the units are lit up. There are wide driveways for parking in front of your space and the turning radius is easy to navigate larger trucks. It's easy to get a hold of them, and I love the later gate access after their office business hours. You will not be disappointed here! read more

My parents had rented three units for many, many years. My dad passed away in June, and we have been trying to clear the units. When we finally had all of the units emptied, Holly asked the owner, Tom, if he would wave the late fees. Less than $200. I could over hear him when Holly was on the phone with him. He kept asking why why why, and said, "We're all struggling I one way or another." My 82 year-old widowed mother lost her husband of 53 years, and Tom couldn't wave less than $200. If I could leave 1/2 star I would. This storage facility has no security at all. We had at least a truck bed of stuff taken out of are unit. The business has been uncooperative with identifying whomever robbed us. Their camera don't work and the individual door security alarms don't work either. We have been waiting for a call from them for over two weeks now. If you use them make sure you have insurance because your items are not safe. The lock we purchased from/ they recommended was picked. read more

Beware of continued charges after vacating unit. Our family was planning a long move, so I stopped in to let their staff know that we would be leaving the following day. Our items would remain in storage for an additional week to be picked up by a moving company. The employee made a note of when our items would be removed from storage and assured us that we would not be charged beyond that month. We were "not" asked to sign any paperwork to vacate the unit. To our surprise, we continued to receive changes for two additional months. That's when I contacted the company to request a stop payment. They did stop the payments, but informed us that because we did not fill out any exit paperwork, we could not be refunded for the two prior months. Again, "we did" notify them of when we would be leaving and the exact date that the moving company would be removing our items. We were not asked to sign any exit paperwork, which they have stated is a requirement when vacating a unit. They were well aware that the unit had been vacated and that it was empty, but continued to change us. The loss of money is not a huge deal to us. It's more of an ethical issue where the company definitely and purposefully skimmed a little extra money at the expense of their reputation. It was their mistake and the honest thing to do would have been to refund our money. Wish others better luck with this company. read more

Awful customer service. We rented a storage unit for 8 or 9 years, paid reliably, got their rate increase notices and paid more, then we didn't get their last increase notice, 11% increase this time. They continued to cash my checks for the old rate but didn't send a second notice or pick up the phone to let us know we must have missed the increase notice. Instead they added late fees, locked our unit, added more late fees, wanted to lien our stuff, they had time to add late fees but not time to let us know we missed their increase notice. We took everything out and went elsewhere. read more

This is a very clean facility compared to some other storage facilities in the area. I like the fact that it is gated and has surveillance. I feel at ease knowing my items are stored here. read more

I rented a unit in mid-August 2020. The unit was in pristine move-in condition. I'm pleased to report great customer service (from Cassie.) I was given a good quality lock for free, a little flashlight, first month free and a cold bottled water, all good signs. They have a more or less reasonable price per month (given the outrageously high costs of EVERYTHING in the Ojai Valley, due to rapacious capitalism, now in its "late phase" I'm happy to say, and greedy business owners and especially landlords.) There are no individual lights in the units, a disappointment, as these could be (and are, in other facilities) installed on timed dials. -But the facility does have cameras and fire sprinklers. Given the uncertain seismic conditions of the area, it is quite prudent to take out YOUR OWN renter's insurance, for whatever you can afford, including earthquake damage AND water damage from sprinklers, NOT flood. Theft shouldn't be a problem because of their good security precautions. The rental contract is spectacularly restrictive, in terms of forcing you to relinquish every right you thought you might have had, and many you probably didn't know you had but won't now. In short, you will ALWAYS be at fault for any misfortunes which may beset your stored items, and the landlord will NEVER be, no matter what. You also must waive your right to sue him for damages, even if he is clearly at fault, no matter what. -But this is common practice in the industry. For those of us who must use these facilities, all we can do is hope and pray that nothing goes wrong. Pay your rent on time, obey the rules and try to save enough money that you can just BUY your own "storage module" or "container" that you can safely park somewhere indefinitely, to store your stuff in, (check em' out- they're surprisingly affordable) so you don't have to keep flushing away all that money every month. Those things said, I didn't notice anything that would present problems, and I look forward to benefiting from the service they provide. -Roger O. read more

There really should be a zero star option for this storage service. I was really excited to be coming back to this location after a great experience with this site 4 years ago. Apparently since then management has changed from your easy going small town hospitality to uptight micromanaging Karens. When I signed my rental agreement in February 2022, I was told there was flexibility on leaving the property a little late for the needs of moving in and getting the unit organized. It felt like the same great energy you'd expect from our charming valley. To my surprise, I was almost immediately made the target of harassment by management. They made comments about my belongings and how much I had. Although, it was nothing more than basic household items and clothing. By my second week the stuck up old blond would walk to my unit to ask how long I was going to be on-site when I arrived making me feel very uncomfortable and wanting to leave with out getting anything done. On one of these occasions I mentioned to her that I had received several disturbing messages from the live-in night security regarding random girls on Instagram. She asked me why I gave him my number and I answered honestly, that he requested it in case of emergency to be able to contact me. The next day I was given a write up for leaving late and exceeding the 2 hour maximum on-site time allowance, which is written NO-WHERE in the agreement I signed. Now it is April 3rd and I have been served an eviction notice because I had my new puppy with me and was keeping her corralled out side my unit. Mind you they waited all day from the time I arrived at noon determined to get things done finally, until 6pm to let me know that my puppy or my things in the hall were a problem. I felt like she thought she was my mom saying "this is not okay" and pointing her finger at me like tisk tisk shame on you. Mind you, no one came onsite during the entire day except one person looking to rent and ultimately took the unit just down the hall from mine. I have 15 days to vacate and they think they are keeping my full payment for the month of April. So no, you darling old Karen you, shame on you. Get a hobby and get some happy in you. She should not work with people. Do not rent here. read more
