I have been an indoor RV tenant for over 3 years. It had been a great experience the entire time. I love the fact that it is a concierge service facility. Patty and her crew store and stage in for pickup and drop off. I believe this eliminates "hangar rash" that I have seen where the tenants park and pick up their rigs. Just last week, a friend of mine, who stores at another facility, had another RV back into the his RV and knock it off the tongue jack with a side impact, causing a bent axle. I would rather have professionals move my RV, and not trust just anyone maneuvering to get in their spot, that like most RV storages are tightly packed. Patty and her crew have always been friendly and professional. There aren't any rats or mice as one review stated. Never had an issue. Don't bother if you have an older RV. They told me my 1999 Bounder was too old to store there. So much for their name "Classic". I could understand if the RV was trashed, mine's not. The place is clean. They got that down pretty well. But the rules of storage are vague, confused on the website, and arbitrarily applied by the staff. It's not a staff, per se, it's a person...Patty runs the place like a small third world dictator, and the folks who help her have little contact with renters. If you rent here, expect to pay average rates for inside storage space and very high rates for RV space. Also: 1. inside spaces are semi-drive up. You can pull into the building and get right to your door, or close, but the driveway (singular) is one lane. If someone drives in behind you while you are loading / unloading, you have to stop what you are doing and get in your car/truck and exit the building so they can pass. Then you circle back to your space. Takes 5 minutes, and you must leave your space unsecured, and your property exposed. Anytime someone enters or leaves the building everyone who has driven into the building has to do the same thing. Regular PITA every day of the week. If you need a space that you want to use more than once or twice a year, this alone is reason enough to not rent here; 2. The building is well lit, but lights are on a very short timer....about ten minutes. When they go out, it is VERY dark and you must provide your own lighting. 3. While the website says it is 24 hour access, if you are storing anything other than an RV, you have to be off the property at 8:30, or 8:00, or 6;30, or 7:09, or any other time that Patty feels you should go. Which brings to the last issue: 4. Patty. I rented for almost two years, was on time with rent, was courteous, never had problems with her, her staff, or other tenants. She was kind and helpful until she wasn't, them she evicted me....in the middle of the month....and gave me two days to remove my property on the threat that she would throw it in the dumpster. What brought this sudden change? I don't know. She offered four vague and generalized reasons on four different occasions, none of which is true. What I think actually pissed her off was that when I was inquiring about renting a parking space for my trailer, I told her that she was priced way above the market..and did so in front of another prospective customer. She evicted me two days later. If you rent space here, expect superficial pleasantries that are about as deep as spilled coffee on a glass table, confusion about what's allowed, blackout conditions in the self storage units, mice, dampness, and whatever you do, DO NOT ruffle Patty's feathers. read more

So I got my storage unit here a little over a year ago. The website says 24 hour access but they really close at 9 or 10 pm. I talked to a guy who got locked in once for staying after-hours. The lady who owns it acts super nice on the phone. Cross her in any way and she becomes something else. I had a table on the top of my car that I forgot about. I didn't wait long enough to drive my car through the garage-like sliding doors. I bent the door accidentally. Got a really pissed off phone call the next morning. She said it happens all the time. I told her there should be a warning sign at least. A year later.... Still no warning sign. It costed a little over $100 to fix. In order to not pay the fix fee, I paid for a year in advance. The place smells moldy. There is a lot of ventilation so I don't understand why. I put moisture-absorbing things all around my unit and they always fill up with water. I put in a large one about once a month and it collects dark grey water. Sometimes it is hard to go there and organize because you have to park your car in a one lane place and then if another car comes through, you have to move. Super inconvenient. Now, they raised my rate without giving me any notice. I asked if she would waive it and she said no. I asked to speak to someone else and she said there's no one else, just her. I don't understand why this storage unit has such bad customer service. I think I'm going to go ahead and pay the extra money they are asking for and..... Then obviously give them a bad review on yelp. I would NOT recommend this storage facility. There are many other options in Ventura. read more

We recently purchased a very special trailer and were looking for some indoor storage. The second-story secured storage at California Classic Storage is the perfect solution. With it's high-bay ceilings, and it's hefty concrete construction, it's thermally stable. Pair that with the teams' excellent valet-like prep and collection operations and it just doesn't get any better. All this at a more than reasonable cost for indoor storage, and we couldn't be any more pleased. Note- outdoor storage is cheap in comparison. Other indoor facilities we looked at were greater or equal with less services. Their on-site dump station, water, and power have all proven useful as well, and they've recently announced some additional summer hours to handle the expected increase in traffic. I have been storing my toy hauler here for about five months, in July my wife and I came to check on our trailer and saw cat Food and Water under out trailer. On 8/29/2015 we came to pick up our trailer and I noticed that there was cat urine all over the chrome rims and the acid from the urine have now rusted my brand-new Chrome trailer rims, NOTE MY PICTURES I ADDED. I called 8/31/15 and spoke with the so-called manager Patty and told her my concerns about the cats Peeing on the rims, and all the rust that has accumulated from the urine, she proceeded to tell me that they are Wildcats and that they have no control over them and there is nothing they can do about it.. Lmao REALLY I SAID then why are you feeding them water and food under my trailer I ask ? Her response was it's not illegal to feed cats.. My reply then there should be some kind of information passed out to people letting them know to protect their own rims from the cat urine that you can't control.. Then my reply was can I speak to the owner? Her response was I'm the closest thing you're going to get to the owner.. Wtf what kind of customer service is this.. Anyways I proceeded to ask her if they would pay to get my chrome rims polished out to see if we could fix it. her response was no it's not our responsibility. I've been proceeded to tell her that I was going to pursue further action that I have photos of them feeding the cats under my trailer and pictures of my rims when I bought my trailer and after urine pictures. Her response was laughing at me saying I'm sure you do have pictures of your rims they're probably were rusted before you even brought it here, and why would you even have pictures of your rims she said.. My response was why wouldn't I take pictures of my brand-new trailer.. Mind you this is a brand-new trailer that has been used three times. I will Be pursuing further action. I rented a self storage unit here and during the Corona virus pandemic the storage manager refused to give us access to our belongings. I was in the process of moving out of my house so I went to drop off some things and I was confronted and I was told I only had 5 minutes and then I needed to get out. When I asked why this was the only storage facility that was refusing tenants access and the lady threatened to kick my a** and said I could get my sh** and get out if I didn't like it. I felt threatened and didn't like having no access to my things or access to use the unit for the purposes of storing things which is what I pay for every month. Next thing I know I'm getting an email written as if a two-year-old had wrote it I'm saying that they were not going to renew my lease without any reasons why. When I called to find out what was going on house they offered information wise was that "you know why." And then they proceeded to hang up on me. This is not the first time this lady has been rude absolutely no reason as I've been nothing but respectful to them. She has no problem making smart-ass comments two people and if you respond in any manner she gets rude and resorts to making violent and threatening comments. I highly advise you do not store your things here unless you want them to be locked away with no access whatsoever. Unless of course you like to be disrespected whenever you do visit to pick up or drop off belongings. Worst self-storage I've ever used hands down. read more

We checked other storage locations and all we more expensive and offered less for the money. This place is safe, clean, well maintained, and the staff is amazing. I have used a few storage places over the years and this place has been the best. They let me move my unit size 3 times with no hastle. Patty who is in the office is always friendly and helpful. They have fresh coffee, brew your own cup, cookies, and candy in the office. They are open until 9pm daily. I noticed a yelp comment about the cat and their tires... lol cat's don't pee on metal rims, they are not dogs who lift their legs, obviously this person is running a scam or mad about something. . The fact that they give a mom cat and some kittens a little food speaks volumes on their kindness and ability to be helpful as well as thoughtful. The on site managers are always there and walk the premises to make sure everything is secure. .. I love this place...Good honest friendly people in a safe and secure building, with great hours... couldn't ask for better...A+ read more
