I took a package for a return today. I had a QR code so it was fast and easy. There was a short line but it took a few minutes because they only had one employee working there, but the line moved quickly and I was able to hand over my package, get the QR code scanned and got my receipt and left. Overall it was a good experience.

Stopped in on a Saturday to mail a package. I was glad they were open later on Saturday than some other offices, though the line was longer than I'd expected. Staff was professional and courteous. Lots and lots of po boxes here. Decent sized lobby with cards, packing supplies and room to put your stuff down while filling out address forms. Employee at the front counter worked with me to get the best price/deal on my shipping. I was happy with that.

It's Friday morning around 10:30. Ventured here pleasantly just for a postmark for my no stamp needed package, but I purchased a book of Twenty First- Class FOREVER stamps of Water Lilies. They're very pretty and collectibles... Yes, I bet every one will be surprised by the Classic Mural in the lobby when you first step in, neat, nice floor and no wait in line quick service. Tip: check out stamps, usps.com/stamps

Similar to the DMV, it's sad that there is no 'sense of urgency' with the staff. Because of that, there always seems to be a line no matter the time or day. Parking is also a pain point since it's all street parking and this place is right next to a park. Luckily in this age of technology there is very little reason to actually go to a post office.

Beautiful Mural Work during the WPA Period of Public Art.

23 years living in Ventura, and I never ventured inside of this historic post office on Santa Clara Street, just opposite the park.

The Post Office's updated look looks really nice. And there's parking available again. I can't…read morebelieve I'm geeking out. First, there's an area where you can drop off your letters and packages, a self-service area to buy stamps and to ship your own boxes, smart lockers to pick up your post office packages more easily, and more. The next area is the actual post office service area, where you stand in line. Now, the waiting room counter area is bigger. The line moves along the counter, so no longer do I have to kick packages forward (unless the package is huge - there's a joke in there somewhere), and I can place my packages on the counter and move them forward. I just had the easiest time shipping out all my holiday gifts because I placed them on the counter and moved them along easily. Thank you, counter! The service here is always professional, friendly, and fun. The line length usually sucks, but I understand that's not anyone's fault. But the workers here always seem to be in good spirits, so I can't be annoyed at the wait time for long when they are so friendly. The post office is WAY more space efficient, and the renovations - while lengthy - were totally worth the wait! The only suggestion I heard while waiting in line is for there to be music playing in the background. That would definitely perk my spirits up even more, but it may make it harder to talk to the cashier unless it is playing at a low volume. Just a suggestion, Oxnard USPS!

They just spent tons of money over the past six months renovating this place to meet some…read moreridiculous government agenda without any benefit to the public at all. There's still not enough parking and they still only have two self service kiosks, with a ton of open space that's completely wasted. They added lockers and giant screens on the walls instead of adding anything that would actually serve the community. Ridiculous.
