The Post Office's updated look looks really nice. And there's parking available again. I can't believe I'm geeking out. First, there's an area where you can drop off your letters and packages, a self-service area to buy stamps and to ship your own boxes, smart lockers to pick up your post office packages more easily, and more. The next area is the actual post office service area, where you stand in line. Now, the waiting room counter area is bigger. The line moves along the counter, so no longer do I have to kick packages forward (unless the package is huge - there's a joke in there somewhere), and I can place my packages on the counter and move them forward. I just had the easiest time shipping out all my holiday gifts because I placed them on the counter and moved them along easily. Thank you, counter! The service here is always professional, friendly, and fun. The line length usually sucks, but I understand that's not anyone's fault. But the workers here always seem to be in good spirits, so I can't be annoyed at the wait time for long when they are so friendly. The post office is WAY more space efficient, and the renovations - while lengthy - were totally worth the wait! The only suggestion I heard while waiting in line is for there to be music playing in the background. That would definitely perk my spirits up even more, but it may make it harder to talk to the cashier unless it is playing at a low volume. Just a suggestion, Oxnard USPS! read more

They just spent tons of money over the past six months renovating this place to meet some ridiculous government agenda without any benefit to the public at all. There's still not enough parking and they still only have two self service kiosks, with a ton of open space that's completely wasted. I did a MONDAY WALK IN for the PASSPORT OFFICE. Jorge and Danny were working the passport office and they were awesome!!! I did this with a 2 and 4 year old and my husband. If you plan to go to a Monday Walk In appointment READ THIS: -****Arrive at the passport office at or before 7am, bring a chair, and prepare to line up and wait. Around 9:30ish, they'll open the door, and give return times on first come first serve basis. They only have about 30 slots (for their 10am-1pm hours open). This is why it is important to arrive early.**** -If you have a family getting passports, only one needs to wait to get the return time. I did have my family come back for this as I was unsure. You do what's comfortable. You DO need to have everyone's paperwork. -BE PREPARED. Complete and read up on all of the forms you will need. You can fill everything out online and print it out to bring with you. If your DS-11 is incomplete, you'll be turned away. -No copies of birth certificates will be allowed. You must have your originals. Make sure your birth certificate has all the things on it they require. Make copies of your drivers licenses so you don't have to pay to make copies there. -Bring a folder with everything organized and bring a pen. -Everyone has to be present at the return time. Both parents must be there for minors. Finally, we arrived at 7:30 and left at 1:30. From 10-12:30, we did errands and ate lunch. The biggest waiting around was in line before getting a return time. The parking lot is full no matter when you come. They've built electric charging stations down the left side of the building for electric mail vehicle I guess. No one from the public can park there. They just repaved the entire front lot so I assume nothing is going to change. They do passports there, so maybe that's what's filling the parking. Nice. I have to mail packages a couple times a week. This place is very difficult. If I have to mail out of country I use FedEx because they can be difficult to deal with. FedEx is easy. A man named Kevin in the passport office was extremely rude to me. When I asked him a question, he responded with "I'm not talking to you." When I asked him for his last name or his employee ID, he refused to give it to me. When I asked for his supervisor, he said they weren't here and refused to give me their name. I complained to another employee, who was unfortunately his subordinate and couldn't do anything about the situation. He overheard me and talked over me to tell me that I am entitled to my opinion. I don't think I have ever been treated with such little dignity by a federal employee. I'm so upset about this right now, I'm literally shaking. read more

This review is specifically for the passport office. The people at the post office are great and I've never had issues with them. Based on other reviews it seems like Kevin is infamous at this location. Well I can tell you those other reviews certainly weren't lying. He is rude and VERY unprofessional, you can tell he hates his job and projects that on customers. A lady by the name of Kim in the same office is also unprofessional, she'll call you a liar and make it seem like you were in the wrong to cover THEIR mistakes. It appears she has done this in the past based on another review as well. The workers are in general good. I've never had a bad interaction with them. However, the parking lot is usually full because the location is both a USPS and a Passport Office. This makes it extremely difficult to come here compared to other locations and there's no street parking. It would be nice to come via bicycle, but there is no meaningful way to park one securely. read more

This post office is the worst. They randomly lock the drop box so you never know if it's worth the drive to drop off your packages outside of their business hours. Of course it's locked now, during Christmas time.... So ridiculous. Everytime I bring this up to them they say it's never locked or it's an "accident". Clearly a lie. read more

Went in on a Monday for walk in passport services. Jorge was super helpful and nice. Made the process so smooth so glad that I went in and have got it done in one day. This was my first experience at this location, and my goal was to get my new passport processed as they have walk-in hours on Mondays from 10:00AM-1:00PM. I arrived at 9:15AM and waited in line hoping that it would move quickly. Well, it did. Most of us were turned away around 10:30AM, and were told that they are closed, and to make an appointment. Fact is, after trying to get the right information from someone, they take only about 30 passport requests when opened on Monday, and NO ONE who worked there knew what was posted on their website! A group of us were very frustrated, and their staff was of no help. We waited inside to see a manager to ask WHY we were turned away, and we got very little attention. Tested on their kiosk to try to book, but there were NO open appointments for the entire month of April! Counter guy said it should work and go home and try online. Another PO worker said to go to Santa Clarita or come back next Monday at 6:00AM! If nothing else, we should have been treated with respect, and I doubt their website will ever be updated. After my interaction with Kevin (I don't know if that's his real name) at the passport office, I went to yelp to see if anyone else had the same experience and I wasn't surprised when nearly every bad review has the name Kevin on there. How is he still employed at this office? If your job entails interacting with people, you should have a better attitude. As of today I have mailed three cards at the Post Office on C st. They each contained a gift card and they never reached their destination! When I called the post office they informed me I have no recourse. So if you need to mail a gift insure and send it certified! So I am sad because my grandkids never received their gifts!! read more

We went to this post office for passport photos and passport. We were their on time at 1145 the guy came up to us and told us what we needed to fill out so we filled it out and then he told us that we needed to have it filled out by 1215 we were ready by 1203 and no one came up to us until 1230 he then was rude and told us to go back to the line again because we needed to put date of birth on the form it took us literally 3 seconds he the. Said that our appointment time was over and we needed to wait until he wanted to. That is so rude we take our time to get out of work to do this things. So rude. One of the worst experiences I've ever had anywhere. Came in at 12:45 on a Tuesday. No one was around to check me in, which is fine I understand people are busy. My problem was a man came up after about 10 or so minutes of waiting, and tells me I'm late. I told him I was there on time, just no one was here to help me. He then tells me I can't renew my passport and whatever. What was a cherry on top of the cake was after he tells me he can't help me... he then calls my name on the list as if he immediately forgot. I'm a receptionist so I send out a LOT of mail and packages and this is my favorite post office location in Oxnard! The employees are efficient and normally very cheerful and knowledgeable. I had to send out over 5,000 W2 forms during tax season and they were very helpful and even let me use the big carrying boxes they have. If you go here I hope you have Tess! Whenever I come to this post office I receive good customer service. The staff doesn't have the most welcoming energy but they are always customer focused and available to help with any questions I have. They also keep the lines moving quickly, especially during the holidays. With covid going on, they're only allowing a certain amount of people in the lobby at a time. Inside they have clear markings for social distancing and visible signage so you know exactly where to go. read more

The mail carriers that are stationed at this USPS facility and deliver to the Seabridge neighborhood are inept and/or don't give a _ _ _ _. Numerous times, time-sensitive legal documents have sat idle for 1 -2 months in the wrong mailbox in my apartment building, The Reserve. Those were rent checks (in-person payment not allowed by the scum landlord - see my review for them). I've since vacated, where upon I submitted a forwarding address, which was confirmed by an automatically-generated email. Once again, the mail carriers screwed up. They didn't take note of the forwarding address (as told to me by their supervisor), so time-sensitive legal documents sat in old apartment's mailbox for 7 weeks. It took several hours of phone calls over 2 days for USPS HQ to understand the problem, after which it took 2 weeks more for me to get this mail. The consequences of the USPS's ineptitude and or lackadaisical attitude are DIRE. DO YOUR JOB AND DO IT RIGHT FOR A CHANGE!!! read more

1961 N C St, Oxnard, CA 93036 PASSPORT OFFICE: Please check your cameras from October 26th 2018 at 9:05 AM. Your employee dug her nails into my skin for taking a passport application without waiting in line. I had 4 bleeding abrasions on my left arm. I went to the doctor to get everything documented. I told the manager (female manager working on October 26th at 4 PM) passport office side. She made me very uncomfortable because she was on her employee's side completely and justifying her employee injuring me for my "rude actions". I asked her why she was justifying her employee putting hands on a customer and she did not in any way take it seriously. She had an extreme catty attitude towards me which made me very uncomfortable to make a statement with her. Why I was confused is because USPS leaves the passport applications out after 3 PM for us to grab with no clerk, in the same location. Person who grabbed my arm: Your employee Martha, her name is i believe. She's the lady with the short gray hair looks around 220 pounds 5'5, Also, the female manager wouldn't tell me the name of the person who attacked me. The employee initially answered her questions in Spanish , when she tried to ask a second question the SAME employee said "I don't speak spanish." It was a male with a ponytail. Avoid this place.
