Great immediate answer to my question. Friendly attitude. Could not ask for better service

The Post Office's updated look looks really nice. And there's parking available again. I can't believe I'm geeking out. First, there's an area where you can drop off your letters and packages, a self-service area to buy stamps and to ship your own boxes, smart lockers to pick up your post office packages more easily, and more. The next area is the actual post office service area, where you stand in line. Now, the waiting room counter area is bigger. The line moves along the counter, so no longer do I have to kick packages forward (unless the package is huge - there's a joke in there somewhere), and I can place my packages on the counter and move them forward. I just had the easiest time shipping out all my holiday gifts because I placed them on the counter and moved them along easily. Thank you, counter! The service here is always professional, friendly, and fun. The line length usually sucks, but I understand that's not anyone's fault. But the workers here always seem to be in good spirits, so I can't be annoyed at the wait time for long when they are so friendly. The post office is WAY more space efficient, and the renovations - while lengthy - were totally worth the wait! The only suggestion I heard while waiting in line is for there to be music playing in the background. That would definitely perk my spirits up even more, but it may make it harder to talk to the cashier unless it is playing at a low volume. Just a suggestion, Oxnard USPS! read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this post office location today. The woman working at the first register to the left around 3:00 PM on Monday, August 3, 2026, was extremely rude and made me feel like I was stupid for asking a simple question. I came in to ship a package. Instead of explaining the process, she handed me a pen and told me to write the addresses on the box. I was confused because every other shipping company I've used has asked for the sender and recipient information, printed a shipping label, and attached it to the package. I've never been told to handwrite everything directly on the box. When I asked for clarification, she didn't explain it clearly. Instead, she gave me a condescending look that made me feel stupid for not already knowing what she meant. Customer service should involve helping customers, not making them feel stupid. She made me get out of line just something that would have taken me seconds to do. After that, she told me shipping would cost $26. As I was ready to pay, she then said me the total was actually $52 because $26 was only the starting price. Since that was much higher than I expected, I told her I wanted to think about it. She acted annoyed and rude, as though I had wasted her time. I left feeling upset by how I had been spoken to and treated. I ended up going to the FedEx location on Vineyard instead, where I had the complete opposite experience. The employee greeted me warmly, asked for the shipping information, printed a professional shipping label, and treated me with kindly throughout the entire transaction. This postal office location made me feel stupid and treated me poorly. I hope management addresses the way customers are treated because no one should leave feeling embarrassed for asking a question. The woman had no name tag but she was in her 40s-50s, thin brows, and is probably most easily recognized by how rude she is to customers. read more

They just spent tons of money over the past six months renovating this place to meet some ridiculous government agenda without any benefit to the public at all. There's still not enough parking and they still only have two self service kiosks, with a ton of open space that's completely wasted. They added lockers and giant screens on the walls instead of adding anything that would actually serve the community. Ridiculous. read more

Had to drop off my voter ballot before March 5, 2024 as I'd be out of town . I never miss voting ... extremely important to me ! Great service. I stood in line to get my ballot postmarked because I'm a bit anxious and want my ballot to be in. I should've sent it weeks ago but I almost forgot! Ughh .. but I voted for the primaries.. I usually avoid complaining, but I felt compelled to leave a review after my two daughters' passports arrived. I had assumed that the two government employees who handled our passports lacked respect for paying customers. However, after reading everyone else's comments, I was astounded by the extent of the negative feedback. While I won't go into detail about the experiences because not all the post offices in Ventura County are terrible, I want to specifically mention the P.O. on C Street in Oxnard. We encountered the worst customer service from an older Asian woman named Kim. She rudely rushed me, snatched the application from my hands, and demanded that I present all my paperwork immediately. My husband witnessed her appalling behavior. She gave me my application and said it was all wrong. I asked for the manager (Kevin), who was just as bad. I definitely won't come back to renew my passport. These two individuals don't deserve to work and treat paying customers with such a terrible attitude. read more

I did a MONDAY WALK IN for the PASSPORT OFFICE. Jorge and Danny were working the passport office and they were awesome!!! I did this with a 2 and 4 year old and my husband. Thanks you two for making this an easy process! Danny speaks Spanish if you need. If you plan to go to a Monday Walk In appointment READ THIS: -****Arrive at the passport office at or before 7am, bring a chair, and prepare to line up and wait. Around 9:30ish, they'll open the door, and give return times on first come first serve basis. They only have about 30 slots (for their 10am-1pm hours open). This is why it is important to arrive early.**** -If you have a family getting passports, only one needs to wait to get the return time. I did have my family come back for this as I was unsure. You do what's comfortable. You DO need to have everyone's paperwork. -BE PREPARED. Complete and read up on all of the forms you will need. You can fill everything out online and print it out to bring with you. If your DS-11 is incomplete, you'll be turned away. -No copies of birth certificates will be allowed. You must have your originals. Make sure your birth certificate has all the things on it they require. Make copies of your drivers licenses so you don't have to pay to make copies there. -Bring a folder with everything organized and bring a pen. -Everyone has to be present at the return time. Both parents must be there for minors. Finally, we arrived at 7:30 and left at 1:30. From 10-12:30, we did errands and ate lunch. The biggest waiting around was in line before getting a return time. The parking lot is full no matter when you come. They've built electric charging stations down the left side of the building for electric mail vehicle I guess. No one from the public can park there. They just repaved the entire front lot so I assume nothing is going to change. They do passports there, so maybe that's what's filling the parking. Nice. I have to mail packages a couple times a week. This place is very difficult. If I have to mail out of country I use FedEx because they can be difficult to deal with. FedEx is easy. I'm in and out in less than 5 minutes. read more

A man named Kevin in the passport office was extremely rude to me. When I asked him a question, he responded with "I'm not talking to you." When I asked him for his last name or his employee ID, he refused to give it to me. When I asked for his supervisor, he said they weren't here and refused to give me their name. I complained to another employee, who was unfortunately his subordinate and couldn't do anything about the situation. He overheard me and talked over me to tell me that I am entitled to my opinion. This review is specifically for the passport office. The people at the post office are great and I've never had issues with them. Based on other reviews it seems like Kevin is infamous at this location. Well I can tell you those other reviews certainly weren't lying. He is rude and VERY unprofessional, you can tell he hates his job and projects that on customers. A lady by the name of Kim in the same office is also unprofessional, she'll call you a liar and make it seem like you were in the wrong to cover THEIR mistakes. It appears she has done this in the past based on another review as well. Not sure if there are other employees in the passport office that are more helpful, but this was on a Wednesday afternoon after 6:00 PM, avoid these two if you want good service. read more

The workers are in general good. I've never had a bad interaction with them. However, the parking lot is usually full because the location is both a USPS and a Passport Office. This makes it extremely difficult to come here compared to other locations and there's no street parking. It would be nice to come via bicycle, but there is no meaningful way to park one securely. read more

This post office is the worst. They randomly lock the drop box so you never know if it's worth the drive to drop off your packages outside of their business hours. Of course it's locked now, during Christmas time.... So ridiculous. Everytime I bring this up to them they say it's never locked or it's an "accident". Clearly a lie. read more

This was my first experience at this location, and my goal was to get my new passport processed as they have walk-in hours on Mondays from 10:00AM-1:00PM. I arrived at 9:15AM and waited in line hoping that it would move quickly. Well, it did. Most of us were turned away around 10:30AM, and were told that they are closed, and to make an appointment. Fact is, after trying to get the right information from someone, they take only about 30 passport requests when opened on Monday, and NO ONE who worked there knew what was posted on their website! A group of us were very frustrated, and their staff was of no help. We waited inside to see a manager to ask WHY we were turned away, and we got very little attention. Tested on their kiosk to try to book, but there were NO open appointments for the entire month of April! Counter guy said it should work and go home and try online. Another PO worker said to go to Santa Clarita or come back next Monday at 6:00AM! If nothing else, we should have been treated with respect, and I doubt their website will ever be updated. After my interaction with Kevin (I don't know if that's his real name) at the passport office, I went to yelp to see if anyone else had the same experience and I wasn't surprised when nearly every bad review has the name Kevin on there. How is he still employed at this office? If your job entails interacting with people, you should have a better attitude. I'm not even saying he has to be nice and chatty, you don't even need to smile. But this Kevin doesn't have the basic concept of human decency. Right from the start he is extremely rude. Not just with me but the interactions I see he had with the people ahead of me. I know he probably hates his job, but maybe find a job in the back where you don't have to deal with people. As of today I have mailed three cards at the Post Office on C st. They each contained a gift card and they never reached their destination! When I called the post office they informed me I have no recourse. So if you need to mail a gift insure and send it certified! So I am sad because my grandkids never received their gifts!! read more

So rude. One of the worst experiences I've ever had anywhere. Came in at 12:45 on a Tuesday. No one was around to check me in, which is fine I understand people are busy. My problem was a man came up after about 10 or so minutes of waiting, and tells me I'm late. I told him I was there on time, just no one was here to help me. He then tells me I can't renew my passport and whatever. What was a cherry on top of the cake was after he tells me he can't help me... he then calls my name on the list as if he immediately forgot. I just want to update my rating because the US Postmaster called me regarding this employee and she was very nice, professional, listened to my complaint and will deal directly with the employee. Whenever I come to this post office I receive good customer service. The staff doesn't have the most welcoming energy but they are always customer focused and available to help with any questions I have. They also keep the lines moving quickly, especially during the holidays. With covid going on, they're only allowing a certain amount of people in the lobby at a time. Inside they have clear markings for social distancing and visible signage so you know exactly where to go. read more

I'm a receptionist so I send out a LOT of mail and packages and this is my favorite post office location in Oxnard! The employees are efficient and normally very cheerful and knowledgeable. I had to send out over 5,000 W2 forms during tax season and they were very helpful and even let me use the big carrying boxes they have. If you go here I hope you have Tess! We went to this post office for passport photos and passport. We were their on time at 1145 the guy came up to us and told us what we needed to fill out so we filled it out and then he told us that we needed to have it filled out by 1215 we were ready by 1203 and no one came up to us until 1230 he then was rude and told us to go back to the line again because we needed to put date of birth on the form it took us literally 3 seconds he the. Said that our appointment time was over and we needed to wait until he wanted to. That is so rude we take our time to get out of work to do this things. For them to tell us they are unable to do it and then it's their fault for not being on time. read more
