I wish i could give no stars I came in today to return a amazon package "customer packaged" when james scanned my QR code and looked at box he said i cannot use this box because it is a display box. Ive never had issues returning items at other ups locations so this was weird. Then Jennifer chimed in with a laminated paper on amazons rules i read over it didnt say anywhere i cant use the box i had just customer packaged as my QR code stated she proceeds to tell me "well anyone with common sense would know" like ma'am excuse me? I ask if shes saying i dont have common sense she just walked to the back and stayed back there avoiding the whole situation.I asked james for the store number he begins to hand me a card and says its on the card i ask do u care about this job he replies "honestly no" at this point jeniffer comes back to the front in his defense to say hes new here second day! Conveniently located in the Seabridge plaza where vons is- Parking is always a nightmare but plenty of it, just be patient or park far away :o/ I do a lot of shopping on Amazon and often need to return items. I went in and sat down on a open computer, that didn't not have a sign saying not for public use. The women behind the counter was so rude when telling me it wasn't for public use. Too bad that one employee can bring a store down on my point of view. This STORE has a notary that is out there to make peoples life miserable. First time I went to notarize something she said she couldn't do it because she only had 10 minutes of her shift and we had six signatures , so it wasn't enough time for her to notarize all of it. so we had to wait 10 minutes for the other notary to arrive. This super nice curly hair lady arrived and took care of us very nicely. Thanks! Today was the second time I went there. I wasn't able to do my notary the week before because her shift time wouldn't allow it , and today she refused to do notary because I told her she didn't need the documents she was requesting. We wanted to notarize a piece of paper (a form). That's it. Well, I drove and brought the passports to her as she requested and I told her she didn't need to confirm the information on the paper,all she needed to do was notarize the signature of the person signing the document. She didn't like that. I told her she was wrong and she refused to do the work. She said she was not going to notarize my papers and that I had to go somewhere else. After that, I asked her for her name so we can write a formal complaint against her, but she wouldn't give it to me . Wonder why. This happened today, May 17, Friday at 2:30 PM . Jimmy was there and saw it all but couldn't help me because he's not a notary. She said I had to go somewhere else!! So I did ! I'm not sure the owner of the store would like to lose his customers because of an arrogant employee full of attitude. read more

This place scammed me today. I went in to print something for the first time here today and I informed the worker that I just need to print one page and that I'm not familiar with their printing services and the man working there gave me a business card and told me to email the address on the card. There was a long line behind me so I stepped to the side and emailed the address and stood there waiting for him to get back to me but instead he just kept helping people in line so I got back in line. At the back of the line I noticed the computer that hat my email up and ready to be printed so I hit print grabbed my paper all while still waiting in the line(that I already waited in). Once I got to the front he charged me almost $4.00 for one single page!! On the receipt one print is only ¢.25 but he said that he charged me $2.99 fee for using the computer for 1 hour when all I did was hit print! Scammers don't ever print here. read more

Everyone who works there is super friendly except for the one older gentleman who doesn't even acknowledge customers when they come in and continues to do whatever he's doing. Is it possible to give negative stars???? I ship a small package with UPS at this store on Wednesday. Item was perishable and clerk assured me the exorbitant amount for two day delivery to Colorado would be for Friday delivery. Package doesn't arrive and when I check tracking info it indicates Monday by 9pm. I go back to the UPS store and ask, hoping to get refund for the difference between the two day and five day which was about 50%. No such luck. Clerk says too bad, we don't guarantee any delivery times any more, using corona virus as an excuse. She told me could be the time frame you paid for or the next longer, all the same to them. Bottom line: Package may get there in the time frame you paid a zillion $$ for..... but likely not. Buyer beware. read more

Idk why this place has bad-ish reviews but I came in here today to print a PDF file from my email, and i knew I can send them my PFF file to their email, for some reason they didn't receive it, probably my email was acting up or theirs, anyways, I think her name was Tasha with the nose piercing, she helped me out so MUCH. Would love to give a half star! RUDE does not even begin to describe their staff! Amazon returns... day 1.... I did not print the form. Okay that was my bad. But was told very rudely in a busy store that I needed that. Day 2 (today) went in with my printed forms, but heaven forbid my box was not sealed! The same girl told me it was going to be $3 to have them tape the box shut! And pointed to a paper sign that said boxes needed to be ready to mail.... no mention of a price. I told her I have never had this issue before... she said "well that's the rule" and pointed at the sign again. She was extremely rude, and disrespectful. Obviously did not care if I walked out or not. Another customer behind me mentioned that Kohl's has a drop off, the clerk said they had "lost that contract", but the customer also told me about another mailing center at the shores. (Shores Postal). Went into Shores postal... was greeted immediately by a friendly man, who gladly taped up my box for FREE. I went to this UPS Store 3 times, morning, afternoon & mid-afternoon, to try and get some paperwork notarized. 3 times I was informed the Notary wasn't in and would be in the next day. I gave up! It was a convenient location - practically across the street, but customer service was NOT up to par - especially the notary aspect of it! Drove a few miles over to the UPS store on Ventura Road. Not THAT is how a business should be run! Quick, efficient, knowledgeable - AND the Notary Public is there EVERYDAY from open to close!!! The services rendered include mailbox rental, receipt of USPS/UPS returns, notary and USPS/UPS drop off point for my own accounts. In my opinion, the negative Yelp reviews aren't a reflection of the business but rather the raters. I love this UPS store! I go in weekly for some kind of mailing service. Most recently, I had 3 huge boxes to mail to the East Coast. Dave was very kind and helpful with packing it and finding the lowest cost for me to ship it. The entire staff is wonderful! They have always gone above and beyond to help me. No issues whatsoever. Come here if you want the worst customer service ever experienced. I came here to ship out a phone my boyfriend found at EDC. Firstly, the blond curly haired woman inside was a total b****. I understand completely that making labels and packaging items is not a fun task (I used to do it at my old job) HOWEVER it does not excuse how rude she was. I was still trying to get information from the guy I was trying to send the phone to so I didn't have all the information at once and for a seemingly thorough woman, she didn't seem to be please by how disorganized I was and she had a sour look on her face the entire time. She didn't make eye contact and was very snappy in her responses when I asking about the COD. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Anyways, I received a check from COD and when my boyfriend went to go pick it up, she rudely told him that I had to be the one to do it, understandable, but when I went to go pick up the check myself, the woman and her father apparently did not communicate on the location of my check so drove all the way across town to be told I could come back for it or wait an hour for her to come back from lunch because she wasn't answering her phone. I was in a hurry so I asked them to just mail and it took THREE WEEKS. The man was very kind but she was a probably. I understand that working with people isn't always the best, but customer service is still very important and her attitude is inexcusable. Never coming here again. read more

I've been to the store five times and each time I've not been able to get out of there in under 30 minutes. Their computer systems are always down and even though there are multiple employees only one employee can help you at a time. Keep in mind I have never came in and found a line of five or more people usually it's only two or three people yet it still takes 30 minutes. I offered to help the cashier type in the address on the computer as he was hen pecking at around 10 words per minute. If your time is valuable to you avoid this store at all costs. read more

I have had a box here since we moved to Oxnard in 2010. I recently recommended them to a neighbor who told me they had some negative reviews on YELP - I thought how can that be? I am in this l place almost every day and would have noticed something odd if there was something going on. So I am surprised by the negative reviews and then felt bad that I had never bothered to leave a positive one! I generally use yelp for restaurants - but this little store actually helps me and my business. There have been many mail thefts in our neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods so knowing I can have important things shipped to them really helps. They have assisted with shipping questions and I love that I can stop there to handle mail on tax deadline days when the post offices have long lines. I had to chuckle when I read the negative reviews - most of which sound very much like "user error". I do technical support as part of my job and shake my head - customers get insulted if the FIRST question I ask is: Is your computer plugged in and is your power on? But they get angry if I have spent time troubleshooting the problem they initially describe only to ask later if the computer is plugged in. read more

After my package was lost, I tracked the box and found out it was the So San Francisco UPS that was at fault. Truly they deserve the 1-star rating in SF that most people give them. To the credit of the Oxnard store, they found out what went wrong and Jennifer called me to report that there was an accident in Sa Francisco that caused my package to be swept up in the rubbage of the accident. That is why the package was "discarded". Just be aware sometimes our first impressions can be off and we need to go back and re-review a store. My earlier review: Unbelievable!!! The UPS damaged my package sent to San Francisco with my daughter's leftovers from her wedding the past weekend, AND instead of letting her look at the damage, discarded the package. Now I have to prove what is inside as in wedding odds and ends that I do not have a way of replacing!!! Probably the items were stolen at UPS!! What other explanation is there?? read more

I went into this UPS store to get a small shipping box. I already had a prepaid label for the postage but just needed a size larger box which should've cost no more than a few dollars. I was shocked when the guy at the counter said it was $12.97! When I questioned the price, the guy seemed a bit nervous. Would give 0 Stars as well if I could. I opened a box there in haste on Christmas Eve for a crisis I was in, and after a few days realized it really was wrong location. The manager there advised me they wouldn't refund a dime! As well, they would not return any photo copies they took of my personal information. I should have gone with initial gut instinct and NOT opened up a box here, but I didn't listen to my gut!! Now I'm paying for services not tendered!! This is our right fraudulent and wrong!! This won't be the end of it as I plan to open a small claims court case against them for a full refund plus demand the return of photocopies of my personal information! Always a fantastic experience! I've had box here since 2015 and every single interaction is wonderful! They know my kids by name, offer treats, and even photocopied a card my 4 year old loved. The negative reviews are silly. Mad because the notary doesn't work every single day? Call first. Mad that they are busy and don't have time for you to be on the phone and disorganized? Come on now! I've seen them repeatedly go out of their way to help people with paperwork issues, ensure boxes are taped correctly, and even hold deliveries for months. This is how you run a business! I was very skeptical of going into this store after reading the reviews but I called ahead and asked if they would just weigh a piece of mail for me so I could ensure I had the correct postage. They girl was polite on the phone and said yes. I went right in and had 37 invitations---she weighed one and informed me the postage was just right and even offered to mail the envelopes I had in my hand. I asked about their services and she said stamps, all sorts of mailings and notary public. I asked about the notary and she pointed to her and I saw her sitting in the back! Went here to complete an Amazon return. Older fellow at counter told me I was required to purchase packaging for my return. I told him that the packaging was included but he was very argumentative, insisting that I purchase UPS packaging. I refused and went to another UPS store to complete my return. At that store I was told that the packaging was included no need to purchase anything. So I am taking my business elsewhere and also informing AMAZON that this UPS location is trying to force customers to needlessly buy packaging for their customers. I have had a P.O box here for several years. I love the convenience of picking up my mail anytime and my packages are safe. Never have to worry about a package being lost or stolen from my front door ever again. You receive an email notice and pick it up at your convenience. Everyone that works here is wonderful. This store has a reputation for delaying prepaid UPS packages or USPS drop offs not paid for in the store. I guess since the owner doesnt make anything off them he doesnt feel the need to honor the UPS drop off rules.
