I used their self service kiosk today. It was so easy and convenient to use, especially since there was a very long line! It's usually not as busy but I'm sure they're really busy with the holidays. I had a QR code for my return, so all I had to do was scan the QR code and it printed the return label for me. I placed the return label on my package and put inside the drop box and I was done!

I just walked in and out to drop off my package in the drop box. I wish there was a bin where it was pretty obvious to drop in my package. In other post offices, I have seen a big bin behind the counter. Maybe I just overlooked it, there might of been something there. I did not want to ask the employees since there was a line and they were busy with other customers. Lucikly, I was able to fit my box into the package drop box. I liked that this place was open for some hours on Saturday (10am - 3pm as of August 2024)!

A very nice post office with cheerful employees- something that I definitely haven' seen at other Post Offices. I stood in line for a bit, so I had the opportunity to losten to a few exchanges between the 3 employees and customers. The employees all seemed to be making an effort to be friendly and to provide good customer experience. There is adequate and free parking.

This is my "home" post office. Love just walking here or going by the drive "drop box". There's always a line, people, so don't get upset and just be warned you'll wait. They have, however, added a self-helping machine that allows you to enter the info of were you're sending your letter and parcel, pay with card, slap the printed postage and be on your merry way. Definitely convenient for people in a rush. I use this from time to time, but I rather wait in line since I like picking up a few stamps at that time ( you can buy them at the machine, but I like to pick the pretty ones they have to offer). Jesus and Mike are the friendliest and helpful postmasters. I don't know if that's their title . A plus, no vagrants roaming around unlike the the Main Street post office.

These idiots consistently lose mail/packages and have zero care or accountability. I wish there was a negative star rating.

First, there's an area where you can drop off your letters and packages, a self-service area to buy stamps and to ship your own boxes, smart lockers to pick up your post office packages more easily, and more. The next area is the actual post office service area, where you stand in line. Now, the waiting room counter area is bigger. The line moves along the counter, so no longer do I have to kick packages forward (unless the package is huge - there's a joke in there somewhere), and I can place my packages on the counter and move them forward. I just had the easiest time shipping out all my holiday gifts because I placed them on the counter and moved them along easily. Thank you, counter! The service here is always professional, friendly, and fun. The line length usually sucks, but I understand that's not anyone's fault. But the workers here always seem to be in good spirits, so I can't be annoyed at the wait time for long when they are so friendly. The post office is WAY more space efficient, and the renovations - while lengthy - were totally worth the wait! The only suggestion I heard while waiting in line is for there to be music playing in the background. That would definitely perk my spirits up even more, but it may make it harder to talk to the cashier unless it is playing at a low volume. Just a suggestion, Oxnard USPS!

Although there…read moreare 1or2, fairly recent, unfavorable reviews, the majority of those are from the pandemic years. At that time, not many businesses WERE able to operate effectively, with people stressed and on edge, getting sick, & calling off. I do agree that it IS the responsibility of top management to address the issues of mail and packages repeatedly being delivered to wrong addresses, in poor condition, or just not delivered! If these complaints are mostly on a specific route or area, maybe there's a "bad apple" in the bunch. FIX it! When I first moved to Ojai, 18 years ago, I was taken aback at how friendly, engaging, interested & interesting, and welcoming the personnel in this very post office were. They couldn't have made a better first impression on me! And I've got to admit, that impression has endured, by being served & helped well. Yes, the lines can get long, and I especially remember times during the Covid pandemic that were dreadful...but I understood the situation, and didn't take it out on the postal workers. It's not easy, serving the public all day, day-in and day-out. And some of the complaints here are SO personal... Gracious!... A cobweb here, a smudge on the counter there? This used to be a Wild-West, country-town, man! LOL. You should have been here Then!! And some folks are just used to complaining, everywhere they go, every day. And others DO have a legitimate beef here, but I think a lot of the problems, starting around 6 years ago, have been addressed and resolved, statistically speaking. So, IMHO, I think the Ojai USPS has earned, and deserves, all five stars!

The postal clerk, who has worked there for many years, told me that if I sent them Priority that they would be delivered "in three days." Priority was very expensive, but I decided to go with that, and I paid over $156.00 to send both packages priority--over $75/package. I carried both packages in at the same time, so they were not that big or that heavy. I logged on to the website with both tracking numbers, so I could give my friend (who would have to drive through the snow) the best ETA time. I was stunned to see that the delivery time was actually going to be over 2 1/2 weeks, NOT the 3 days the clerk had promised. I went back down there today and met with the manager, who was just shy of utterly useless. He told me that despite the clerk's lie, that there was nothing they could do to "expedite" the delivery, and no, they would not issue any kind of a refund from the price I paid for priority, to "regular" delivery. What thieves. Fed Ex and UPS have their issues too, but at least when they give you an ETA for delivery, it is accurate; it doesn't take them four times the estimate they initially promised for delivery. It's even more galling that the PO charged me over $75 per package.
