Do not rent from here. My son who's military and his family put all their belongings into a storage unit here. They went back to get their stuff a year later yesterday 2/3/26 and to their surprise rats had gotten into their unit. Their stuff was covered with rat droppings, piss, and dead rats. Now they have to get rid of everything. They complained to staff and they were advised nothing could be done because they didn't have insurance on the unit. I've been having a great experience at this storage. Never had any problems and allows for box trucks to drive through without issues.

Good safe location. Wide alley roads and easy to turn your truck around. Easy in and out access; gate hours are reasonable; facility is clean and well lighted. My only complaint is that within 3 months of moving in, Extra Space doubled my monthly rent and I had to move out. Most facilities don't raise the space rent until at least 6-9 months later & it's not doubled. I selected this storage for the fair prices and safe location so its disappointing they don't value their customers more to not blindside them with hugs rent increases. When I asked the office staff about the increase, they said corporate randomly raises the rent to match "market rate." That would be fine if they did not lure new customers in with low prices then adjust your rate as soon as you're settled in. It's expensive to hire movers and rent a truck to move belongings. Felt like a "bait and switch." Corporate assumes people will just pay the higher rent no matter the increase because of the hassle. On the one hand, I am glad they raised the price because it forced me to get rid of things and make room at home for the items I wanted to keep. Saving me hundreds of dollars a year! read more

Here's a more polished and genuine version of your message: I've had my unit here for about a year. As a mechanic, I'm always going in and out to grab tools or store motors. This place has been the most lenient and understanding. Heather (hi Heather) and Gio, the manager, are awesome--they've even saved me some money. They were super understanding when I needed to downsize my unit. No harassment, no complaints. I pay my unit on time, and they leave me alone. It's one of the most respectful places I've ever stored my things. I feel safe leaving my stuff here, and the cameras are monitored by both a third party and the front office, so there's always someone watching for break-ins. The place is cleaned daily and kept up well. And i pretty sure the sizes are a little bigger my 10x20 it seems a lot Bigger then the "P storage" place. Thanks Gio and Heather read more

DO NOT RENT A SPACE HERE! THEY WILL STEAL MONEY/ITEMS FROM YOUR UNIT. My gf rented a space here and was tricked into using a lock provided by the guy at the front desk (the agreement she signed said she was supposed to provide her own lock - she didn't see that part of the agreement). I say she was tricked into using a lock provided by them because she didn't know any better. The front desk guy casually mentioned that the front desk had a "ghost key" for all units so she shouldn't be alarmed if she enters her unit and notices things moved around. For me, that is a "no-go" but for her, that seemed ok. Her unit was located in a hallway/area where there were no security cameras (important for later) and seemed to be secure. She loaded her stuff into the unit and came back a few days later to notice things were moved around and coins/money missing. She went to the front desk and the guy there said they would look at the security cameras. She constantly followed up but nothing ever came from that. Our gut tells us it's an inside job with help from the "ghost key" since nothing came of their "internal investigation" since there were no cameras in the area. Another note, a lot of the inside units are not secured by the doors outside. We were able to enter an inside space without needing to punch in a code or use a key fob. EDIT: Another user posted on here on 12/2022 that items in her unit were stolen as well. The response from the business owner is that security is their top priority...clearly not if this is continuing to happen. read more

Well, as unfortunate as it may be, I must again give Extra Space Storage on Main St a 1-star review. Against my better judgement I removed my previous 1-star review for this establish (due to finding a MOUSE in my unit) because the management essentially paid me to (free month rent), but this review certainly won't be pulled down regardless of their response. Also, if anyone is interested in photos of the mouse I still have them. I wish had to remove the dead mouse myself due to their unresponsiveness. For whatever reason, my unit was hit with a 24.25% price increase this month (from $178 to $235). This is for a 10x10 unit. On their website a 10x10 unit can be rented for the respectable starting rate of $112 a month and there is units available. I already felt like I was getting fleeced every month with the $178 rental charge, but increasing my rent by $57 a month (again, a 24.25% increase) is completely egregious and absolutely preposterous. Honestly, anyone who reads this, if you're on the fence about this place, trust me, walk don't run in the other direction. Don't be like me. Don't stay with this storage facility due to laziness. There are MUCH better/cleaner storage facilities nearby. Check out StorQuest Self Storage on Walnut St. in Anaheim. I have another unit there and they ensure you upon renting a unit with them that'll you'll NEVER pay more for your unit than a new customer and they certainly don't raise your rent by 24.25% on a whim. I hope this information helps my fellow storage unit renters. Feel free to respond if you see this and you have any questions or want to see those photos I mentioned. While you're discussing it with your team, can you ask someone to stop by my unit and clean out the fresh mouse droppings I discovered on Saturday 11/13? I hadn't been to my unit in probably 6 months, last time I was there I had to clean other droppings myself, so, if you're unable to find someone to clean the mouse droppings, I'll just go ahead and sweep the droppings into the corridor. Also, it doesn't seem like a very sound business model to raise the price on a reliable customer like myself by 24.25% and have me paying double what a new customer is going to be paying for the same unit(s) when I've been with your facility for over 5 years and I have two units with you, but hey, what do I know? Utmost dissatisfaction. This is a an unethical business. I was renting a 5x5 unit. Started at $90/mo. On month two the app is showing a $21 increase. I called for more information and was told "that happens sometimes". First week of December 2022 I go to grab holiday items, come to find the unit was entered by someone/others. My belongings were tossed around, boxes torn open, things falling over and some fragile items broken. I called to report the incident (speak with Gio, office personnel) and was asked to make an itemized list of the items missing. I was not able to do that right then and there as I was emotionally distraught, and felt unsafe at the location. I return to the unit four days later to do that and come to find the unit was entered, AGAIN, more boxes opened, more items broken, documents and photos the floor, clothes thrown out of containers, authentic team jerseys gone, family keepsakes broken, collection of rare coins gone, shoes tossed around, infant jewelry missing, paintings damaged.... I call the office to report the second incident and Gio (same office personnel), comes out to meet me at the unit. This time he brings me a lock that requires a code, unlike the one they previously sold me that unlocks with a key. *Which, by the way, when the facility provided the first lock, it was mentioned that this facility has a skeleton key.* Questions: was the first break in done by on site personnel? The lock was not broken or tampered. Why did Gio not provide a new lock after reporting the first incident? I asked Gio if any other units had been affected, he says "unfortunately, yes, 13 other units this month." (It's only the second week of December!!) The lease agreement is set up to where you cannot hold the company accountable for anything. Even if you file a claim, it is a dead end because there is no evidence to support the claim. No footage. No other witnesses. Extra space storage is running a burglary/under the radar theft business. I removed whatever items I could salvage out of the unit. I was not going to have my things ransacked or taken a third time. I advise you not to trust a company with a skeleton key, bring your own lock and have cameras in your unit. read more

I am new to renting out storages and just recently I was looking on Yelp for a storage to rent. I came across this place. Gio was super helpful and answered all my questions. Only reason why I give it a star. I rented out storage #0104 right next to the door. The next day I came in to bring more of my things. I was just super happy because I had a place to store my things. I found my things out of place and few of my things were stolen. ( the lock wasn't broken. ) The other door where it requires a code you can easily pull it and it will open. The camera footage shows a guy in a hoodie breaking in through the door that requires the code. Luckily I was refunded. And insurance covered my things. The locks from there can easily be picked on open. This place needs security and cameras inside the storages. Rent at your own risk. read more

I hate to leave a bad review because everything started off great. On site staff was friendly and getting setup was easy. After four months they raised our rent 25% without notification. I called to ask why and they said they notified me via the mail. Never received that. The reasoning is that they reassessed the value of the unit and increased the rate. If you visit that locations website, you'll see they are currently renting my exact size unit for half of what they are charging me. Probably would have stayed, but man, the person I spoke to this morning was beyond rude. Just generic response after generic response, I thought I was talking to an AI for a minute. It makes me sad to see all the reviews in regards to this Facility Location. I want to start off by stating that I have has the same experience as some other customers that have left a review, but the staff and I mean Gio in this matter has been EXCELLENT. My storage unit was broken into on a Sunday afternoon by 2 females, All of my shoes were stolen, my purses ( Aldo, Louis Vuitton, Steve Madden etc) was also taken. Military medals, Military pictures were also taken. I am doing everything I can do to seek these thieves so that they can be prosecuted. Gio has been so helpful and assisting me thru this matter, by keeping me up to date with the Police report, the claim adjuster when they have reached out to him for the video and pictures of the robbery. Gio has answered all my question and when I've needed his help he has been available at anytime. We need more people like Gio that cares about his job and the well being of his customers, Thank you Gio!!! I hope moving forward that there would be more security, more lights, more cameras. I'm still crying about my pictures most of all but the fact that I was violated. I would love if anyone wants to reach out to me in regards to their personal belonging being stolen so that I can keep pushing the Orange PD to actually do something since we have the license plate of this vehicle, WE as a community must put some pressure on the PD for their assistance. read more

Beware with this storage place. My unit was broken into not once but twice in a matter of months. Not only was my unit broken into when it rained my unit leaked from the roof and all my items where wet. Made a report with management according to them "it was fixed" now here we are AGAIN!! Water leaked whatever is left of my items from a week ago when the unit was broken into got all wet. Manager "Anthony" said I had made a report last time that unit was leaking...well that was last time this is this time. Useless manager with no experience what so ever this place doesn't give a crap about anyone that rents units it's not their stuff so screw everyone else that's the attitude of this manager Anthony. According this manager there are no cameras in the back units. It's funny how it's easy for the thiefs to get inside but it's not easy for management to go inside the units and fix anything. Ever since the new owners arrived, they have now raised rates each year over 12+% I just received another absorbent notice again that due to current market conditions, my rent is again being raised again. So I Yelped to find another storage company. Guess what, I found a rate at less than 1/2 of Extra Space for a unit that's 20 percent bigger. These people are taking advantage of current customers. It was a nice environment. Place is very well picked up and taken care of a friend of mine rented. I think it was a 10 x 20 and I helped him unload everything. It was a reasonable price. We did some shopping together and found the best price in the area. The hours were good we were able to come in after the office was closed until 10 and we appreciated that. They were open seven days a week. It was kind of strange. There was a easement that went all the way around the other property next-door onto the other side of the property and there is more storage there, but it worked anyhow, I'd highly recommend it. There was a nice place they had given us the second month free. That's not a bad deal seeing how we're only gonna be there for about three months. read more

Don't trust the folks at the Jones Bridge Road branch. I was unaware of the "rate change" that basically doubled my rent. What a horrible way to run a business. They do not prorate your monthly rate even if you move out with 21 days left for the month. You have to give a 10 day notice for a prorate otherwise they will refuse. This was not told to me at move-in. Had furniture in storage here for a few months and everything was extremely dusty and dirty.
