We wanted to try a new brunch place and this came up on our search. We arrived after 1 on a holiday thinking it would be packed but luckily it was not. There were only 2 people ahead of us and the line went pretty fast. Cute little restaurant on a plaza. We ordered spinach and feta omelette and bacon and egg sandwich and a matcha latte. Loved the matcha latte with oat milk. Matcha was not bitter at all even without sweetener. Yum! The bacon and fried egg sandwich came with an over easy egg cooked perfectly and yummy bacon, not too salty and some kind of tomato jam i think. Not too sure but it was yunmy. It came with country fried potatoes which were very yummy. Soft on the inside, crispy on the outside. The spinach and feta omellete came with a salad and potatoes as well. Salad was lightly dressed with olive oil and lemon. It matched perfectly with the feta on the omelette. Great combination. Staff are nice and friendly. We had to find seating a bit far from the restaurant since it only had a few seating inside and the ones close to the resto were taken. But we had great weather so it was not a problem. I ordered the lemon ricotta hotcakes (3 to an order) and oat & lavender London Fog. The hotcakes were pillowy and warm. Small scoop of honeycomb butter and honey on the side add a nice sweet touch. I didn't really taste much of the lemon ricotta flavor though. Pleasantly surprised at the oat & lavender London Fog. I didn't mix the drink up because I like having the floating foam so it got sweeter as I drank it more (all the syrup is on the bottom)...fun way to enjoy one drink with changing taste. The reason why I took off a star was mainly the cleanliness. I asked the server if he could clean an unoccupied table that had dirty plates and he did...except he never wiped the table down so I had to clean off the crumbs and powder sugar from the previous diner. Then I watched him do the same exact thing when the table next to me left...he just removed the dirty plates and left all the crumbs on the table. After finding this healthy breakfast spot on Yelp we decided to try it out this morning and it was just right! Everything was nicely decorated with some cool minimalist artwork on the walls and very friendly staff. The employee who took our order gave us some great suggestions and we ordered two of the most popular items; the breakfast burrito and the scramble. The breakfast burrito was delicious and came with a tasty salsa that was mild but flavorful. The scramble was good but between the two the burrito was better and my husband agreed. The matcha strawberry tea was not sweet but full of matcha flavor which hit the spot. My foodie friends and I went for breakfast at 10am. Was a bit chilly outside so decided to sit inside and managed to get a table near the register. It was our first time here. But we were super disappointed with the lack of flavor and seasoning of each item. Presentation was quite lovely and appealing. The quantity was decent, though on pricey end. But when we started to eat, we were a bit surprised by how extremely BLAND everything was! The burrito was pretty good due to the turkey sausage, but definitely needed a lot of salsa. The omelette desperately needed salt and the salad only had an oil dressing without vinegar. The country potatoes could have been a lot more crispier w/ good dose of seasoning. And how can you go wrong on french toast?? Sadly, this one did. Marscapone stuffing was not sweet at all. And the lemon pancakes that everyone was raving about....a HUGE letdown. Granted it got cold by the time we took a bite of it, but it wasn't fluffy at all and the butter was just sweet, no flavor strangely. It looked quite appetizing and we were so excited to taste it, but it just wasn't anything to praise about. I will say that the staff and service was excellent, so that made up for the subpar food experience. Overall, we ate cuz we were hungry, but was so underwhelmed by the blandness and lack of flavor. Hi Brian, I did come back on another visit and told one of the workers that they overcharged me last time since they forgot my bacon. They did not make it right. I wasn't offered anything for the error. I was charged for the full price of my meal. On another note, I'm disappointed with the quality of the orange juice. The person at the register told me it was "freshly squeezed" this morning. In my honest opinion, the orange juice is not the look or taste of what anyone should call freshly squeezed. The consistency alone is thicker than what you would get at a Mother's Market or Whole Foods Market. I understand this juice comes from Perricone Farms, but I could buy this brand at Smart & Final. It is misleading to patrons to call something that was pasteurized "freshly squeezed" regardless if the orange juice company markets it that way. Today, I ate inside. When I expressed to a worker that the $5 juice did not taste freshly squeezed and I don't think I'm getting what I paid for... again I was not offered a refund or alternative beverage. Each time I bring a friend or family member here, the customer service is lacking. I wanted to love this place. Found this place on Yelp. Came in since it's 4 minutes away from work. When you come in it is very clean, and a very friendly environment. Staff greats you with kindness, and menus are super clean. The wait time for the food is 25-30 minutes, but mine came out in less than 20. It was properly packed and all utensils needed were in the bag already. Driving up to the location, I found a large parking lot shared with many businesses in the complex. There were lots of spaces to choose from in the morning. Everyday Eatery was found among several businesses in a medium sized center. As you walk up to the Eatery, you will find several outdoor tables. Inside, there is a long table with lots of seats on either side. Only a few small tables are available. Food orders are walk-up counter style. I decided to order "The Essentials," which is the eggs, potatoes and bacon or sausage American style breakfast. After ordering, you look for an open seat. The meals arrived in a short amount of time. The meals were good, but I felt they were rather average. The round plate had average sized portions; a couple eggs, some homestyle potatoes and a couple patties of sausage. The toast was cold. I'll admit the place had a trendy vibe and was clean with a modern interior. I had high expectations after seeing some of the reviews before visiting the establishment. But as far as breakfast meals, I felt is was average. read more

The coffee was delicious, but the vegan scramble was very plain, and the salsa/sauce provided was very tart. I would come here for coffee again, and my boyfriends breakfast burrito was very good! I've been eyeing this breakfast joint for a while, but haven't had the chance to visit until this past Saturday. I met up with family at 11:00a and there was already a line out the door. This is located the in plaza at the corner of Sand Canyon Avenue and Irvine Center Drive. This is a very busy plaza during weekday lunch hours, but I guess they get enough business on weekends as well. The parking lot was almost full, but still enough empty spots at the time. I ordered The Essentials ($14.50) and my kids ordered the Scrambled Egg Sandwich ($14.00) and Breakfast Burrito ($15.50). I also got the iced Spanish Latte ($5.75). It was already full inside so we sat outside, which they said they can serve us so we didn't have to order to go. Btw, their website says that they can only take to-go orders online or in-store, no phone orders (but please check their website for updates as this may change). The Essentials was the typical everything breakfast dish, which came with eggs, meat, potatoes, and toast (or salad greens). I got my eggs over-medium and they were perfectly done. There's only been a few places that can actually cook over-medium and this was one of them. I chose bacon, which were nicely cooked, not too crispy or too limp, and I liked the chunky herbed potatoes. The toast was too dry though. My kids liked their food, too. My Spanish Latte was surprisingly mild as I was expecting sweetness from the condensed milk. My kid's hot chocolate was sweet yet surprisingly milder in sweetness, which I liked (not obnoxiously sweet like the box of packets sold at the market). I got to try some of the Lemon Ricotta Hotcakes ($15.50), which had a subtle lemon flavor and a fluffy ricotta texture (if that makes sense). Yum. Their menu is fairly small, but there are still some dishes I would love to come back and try (namely, Espresso Mascarpone Waffles and French Toast Forever). read more

Tried out a new breakfast joint this morning with my wife and it was a nice little place. I loved the hand painted artwork on the walls and the decor was nice and set the mood. Today I tried the breast scramble and my wife got the breakfast burrito and the strawberry matcha. They were both delicious but on my scramble I wish the vegetables were a little more cooked. The onion tasted almost raw. But everything else was delicious. Their matcha strawberry tea was tasty and not overly sweet. I loved their decor and how clean the place was kept. Today has been a dreadful day for this place; nothing seems to be going right. I ordered 'The Essentials' with sausage instead of bacon, over-easy eggs, and a flat white. However, they delivered bacon, poached eggs, chopped greens in tiny pieces, and it tasted bitter too. Additionally, the full milk in the flat white sent me running to the toilet before I even made it back to my desk. My favorite waffle with mascarpone didn't come with caramel, the mascarpone was melty, tiny, and bitter. The waffle was sticky and got stuck in my teeth. The fruits were tiny and sour. There was a line out the door but it moved fast. The service was pleasant and efficient. You order first but they bring you the food, can be either inside or outside. Both were so good!! I liked how the portions were big enough to leave me full but not stuffed, which is a problem I usually have at brunch spots. First time exploring this side of Irvine, and was delighted to find Everyday Eatery, a woman-owned establishment! Ambience-- cute, bright, airy space with pink and gold accents. They have both indoor seating and patio seating. I could definitely see myself catching up with my girlfriends over pancakes in this space. Food-- It was one of those mornings where I wanted something substantial for a breakfast, so I opted for a breakfast burrito. I'm on a no-dairy kick and passed on the cheese. Even without the cheese, the burrito was crave-worthy, so I can only imagine what it would have been like with everything in it. For the protein, you can choose between applewood smoked bacon, turkey sausage or chipotle chicken. I went for the turkey sausage and have no regrets--it's savory, herbaceous yummm. I liked that they used golden potatoes which tend to be a little sweeter than your typical russet. The combo of scrambled egg + golden potatoes + turkey sausage + chipotle aioli hit the spot. I loved the housemade salsa--kicking myself for not asking for extra. At $15.50, it is pricier than your typical breakfast burrito, but theirs was massive and could have easily been split between two meals. I came here on a Sunday morning and waited in line for about 45 minutes before ordering which isn't as bad as other breakfast places. The inside is incredibly small but they serve you on the tables outside as well (which aren't the cleanest btw). The staff was super nice and gave their honest recommendations. One of my favorite places for coffee in Irvine! Their matcha is really good. They don't skimp with the matcha like other places that do essentially matcha flavored milk. It always comes out a darker green color and never overly sweet. Their ube matcha seasonal item is THE BEST. HIGHLY recommend. Husband likes their iced coffees and breakfast burritos. Their French toast and pancakes are also great choices. Service is always great here! It frequently gets extremely busy, especially on weekends, but they always serve me super quickly and are very nice!! Place is cute and has a lot of outdoor seating if you need to bring your dog.
