Let me you, it was the best cinnamon bun I ever encounter!! Every bite had a good amount of cinnamon on it. The cream cheese frosting was not overalls sweet! It's a good size for about $6. I also got the vanilla bean cheesecake and it was good!! The flavor was there I like the amount of the crumb to the cheesecake. If that makes sense. Walk in and it seemed pretty empty, but there was a good amount of seating. This place seems like it would be a good study spot since there are outlets all around, even the center tables have outlets. I came with my sister and we noticed they have many options on their menu. The cheesecakes seems a little small for the price ($9). Instead, we shared the tiramisu ($9). We both got coffees too. I got a honey latte and she got a vanilla latte. Service was really quick after we ordered and the lady taking our order was very nice. Taking the first sips of our coffee we both thought that it was too sweet. The vanilla one had a artificial flavor that was a little offputting. Although I enjoy sweeter drinks, my drink was too much. The tiramisu on the other hand was delicious. Even though it had a good amount of cream, it did not feel very heavy and it wasn't too sweet. My significantly better half wanted something sweet and decadent (like I'm not enough?) For breakfast. We'd just went to the "farmers market" at Country Club Plaza. So we found Elite Bakery tucked away in a strip mall across from Raley's on Fair Oaks Blvd. It's a cozy, beautifully appointed store. Faux rock walls, faux granite tables.... Even those it's faux it looks good. Looks upscale. Not cheesy at all. The display case holds towering slices of carrot cake, decadent chocolate cake, cupcakes, baklava, moist raspberry and blueberry scones and the most inviting cinnamon rolls you're ever gonna see. She ordered the cinnamon roll and an iced Vietnamese coffee and I ordered the raspberry scone and an Americano. The steaming Americano was delivered in a large cup and saucer on an elegant tray with cream and sugar. It tasted like....to borrow from an old beer commercial...an angel crying on your tongue. The cinnamon roll was to die for. I mean it. I'd protect that sweet gooey puppy with my life. And the scone was moist and flavorful. Sometimes you get scones that have the consistency of sawdust. Not here. Even the Vietnamese coffee was good and we're picky. So we sat in there eating our pastries and sipping our coffees feeling like royalty. It's the kind of cafe you could sit in for hours with a laptop. They also serve salads and sandwiches and breakfast. The table next to us ordered the French toast and OMG do I wish we would've ordered that!!!!! This place is nowhere near where we live but we will be back! Check it out. My friend and I decided to come here after reviewing yelp and gallery photos. Great location, very clean and front end lady was very nice. There are NO PRICINGS for the food options. When we asked why, they said because of economics price fluctuation. Prices for breakfast was between $12-$20. When you order is when you will know how much to pay. Not fair... but okay. What are you going to do? The pastries and cakes looked amazing. Truly delicious. Most of them were above $5.00 - $10. We have ordered our foods, coffees and pastry. After spending over $45.00 coffee and toast w eggs. We ended up waiting over 50min for our food to arrive. The front end lady did ask if we got our food we said no after 35min. The restaurant/cafe was empty. Just 3 of us in the dining room. The food arrived nice and warm, but tasteless. None of the tables had salt or pepper shakers, tabasco or any kind of condiments. After waiting a long long time, you just don't feel like eating there. One of the other customers who left had bacon on her California toast. Ordered same thing. Got my toast w out bacon. Hospital food tastes better than what I got. We did order a pastry which was soft and very moist. MOIST and frosting was delicious. The front end gal did apologize for the delay. She stated something about miscommunication. OH, mom who's generally around was on vaca so they are short staffed. The price you pay and food quality doesn't compensate in my opinion. If they offered something due to the wait, something would have made it better. The coffee was okay. My nespresso makes tastier coffee than what I drank. Omg stop what you are doing this morning and head straight over or get it delivered.. personally from DoorDash and was able to even get dash pass. Was able to check in even though it got delivered so I didn't get the discount code.. but yeah 10% off.. i think don't quote me...as usual I was so surprised from the menu. They had American breakfast including baked items but they also had food from other parts of the world.. Considering the vast amount of coffee shops located throughout the greater Sacramento area, I've always been fascinated to try the small, family-owned and operated ones. This takes me on a trip to the Arden Park neighborhood of Sacramento where my lady and I stumbled across "Elite Bakery Cafe". Located in a quaint strip-mall off of Fair Oaks Blvd. and Arden Way, their business is directly across the street from a Raley's supermarket. We came here on a Sunday morning right before the unfortunate COVID-19 pandemic that caused many small businesses (such as this one) to adjust to the new temporary reality that affects everyone. The inside of the business is small but still offers seating for several guests that choose on dining-in. In addition to nice assortment of coffee and tea, they also offer a very generous selection of baked goods. I ended up trying a "White Chocolate Mocha" while she went with their hot "Vanilla Latte". And to eat, I went with a very popular Middle Eastern appetizer called a "Dolma". It was wrapped in grape leaves and served with a side of sour cream. My lady ended up ordering a blueberry scone. Our drinks came out within a few minutes while our food arrived just a couple minutes later. My lady loved the taste of the hot vanilla latte as all of their coffee beans are served by Temple Coffee Roasters, a Sacramento fan favorite. But she was absolutely wowed by the taste of the blueberry scone; it was moist and as you can see by the picture was loaded with fresh blueberries. My Dolma was good as well but a little pricey for what I paid for. Overall, "Elite Bakery" is an excellent choice that I highly recommend. And during unprecedented times during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic, it's so important to help support small businesses such as this one. With that said and done, the service, atmosphere, and quality of the food and drinks was top-notch here. My rating, a unanimous five stars. read more

I want to love this place I really do, but every time I go in my experience just irritates me. I have been in over the past few years at least 10 times. I LOVE their pastries. Those never fail me. Why the mediocre experiences..... I think their sandwiches are very overpriced and not that good. Last week I got the ham and cheese. It was served cold and I had a bite in the car and everything just slipped out. It reminded me of a cafetiera sandwich with mediocre ingredients. I have gotten their salmon sandwich as well, and was disappointed in that. I had a breakfast burrito once and it was ok. I truly think their food items are a few dollars overpriced. Then the service. Every time I go in it takes too long. I'll be one of two people and it will take 20 minutes to get a sandwich. When I was there last week, they had changed ordering systems or something and I waited for two people in front of me for almost 15 minutes because they couldn't figure out the technology. So if you are in a hurry or have any expectation of it being timely, I wouldn't suggest this place. 100% go for the pastries! read more

I went there yesterday morning and the sweetest lady was working the counter. I got a fresh blueberry scone that was flaky with crisp edges and a light glaze with light lemon taste. It was so good I forgot to capture a photo until I had eaten about half. The woman even asked me how sweet I like my latte and took great care with making it. Everything was great! The sandwiches, pastries, drinks, and Temple coffee!!! The decor and customer service was impeccable too. My dad even had a seizure because it was so good. Haha Lol. It was all fantastic and a great experience. Honest suggestion for the owner, the name could use some sprucing up for marketing purposes as it was difficult to recall the store name. I went there because it popped up as a place to try so I thought I'd give it a try At approximately 1:15 pm on a Friday The parking was horrible. It's next to a liquor store store which has nicely designated for their patrons. I went into the store and there was a small group standing/ sitting on a table eating obnoxiously loud on the left . I viewed the cases one with assorted mini cheesecakes and chocolate cake slices. The other had some ham and cheese croissants, apple danish and empty shelves of where cookies would have been . I stood there and waited and waited. I could see a man in the back cleaning or doing prep work. He didnt make eye contacted. And I waited. I read the board hanging and viewed the menu of coffees and sandwiches and waited. Still the man in the kitchen area never even slightly turned his back wasn't facing me he was sideways . I believe a bell did ring when I went thru the door, maybe not at this point it's been like 8 -10 minutes, I have arthritis in my knees so I had maxed out my ability to stand and wait any longer and left. After I leg I was in my car and could see after I left the girl came out to replace or stock items behind the counter. My advice. Keep an eye on the counter for customers. read more

What a fun find this morning! The pastries are deliciously different than your standard coffee shop offerings. We shared a ham and white cheese croissant , a Napoleon and another little Armenian pastry that I can't name. The last one had walnut pieces and honey in a pastry that resembled angel hair pasta. It was not very sweet and our least favorite, but still fun to try. The Napoleon was also different than a traditional one. It was covered in something crunchy and had a condensed milk butter cream that was to die for. My husband's latte was just ok by his standards. I liked it just fine. There was Christian worship music playing, which set a nice peaceful atmosphere. We will definitely be back. read more

This is a great find in my ongoing collection of local bakery cafes! I found it on, yes, a Yelp search, and realized I driven past it hundreds of times without a glance. My loss. I had avocado toast--always a go-to--and it's available with several add-ons; I had lox, which was delicious. They serve Temple coffee, which earned them additional points in my book. The person at the counter was very friendly and welcoming, and it was obvious that many of the customers were regulars. The staff is small, so patience is necessary, but it was worth the wait. I just discovered my new favorite bakery in Carmichael, along Fair Oaks Blvd. This is a family run shop that sells the most delicious pastries in Sacramento in my opinion. I'm a huge fan of a pastry called a koiugn amann. It's not commonly served so when I find places that have them, I will go out of my way to try them out. That's how I discovered Elite Bakery Cafe. I came out for my fave pastry and discovered a delightful cafe run by 3 sisters and their mother serving French and Mediterranean pastries as well as coffee, salads and sandwiches. After perusing the bakery case, I got a sample of their Armenian pastries, which I've never had before. Gata, honey cake and baklava were outstanding and the portions are so big that I took it home with share. I also tried their savory menu items: dolmas and blichnik. The latter is similar to a crepe that is filled with ground beef and served with sour cream. If I wasn't already full, I would have ordered more of these. Service was outstanding! Genie and her sister Jasmine patiently explained all the different items to me. I've never had Armenian food before so they had to give me a crash course.I felt like I was being welcomed into their home and kitchen. They told me about how they decided to open the safe to share their beloved cuisine with everyone. my bestie and i came here today at 3:00. the place is lovely and quiet to catch up. we ordered the london fog tea, tiramisu, chocolate croissant, and armenian cooked dumpling. a very sweet lady took our orders and made our food (and complimented my crochet!). the tiramisu was decadent, the london fog tea was beautifully fragrant, the chocolate croissant had the perfect crunch, and the dumplings were very tasty and nothing like i had tasted before. i signed up for the loyalty program because i most definitely will be coming here again. read more
