Our server was very nice but my fish fillet was not. It was obviously frozen before and came to me in a thin rectangular shape. I was also served "cocktail" sauce that looked like jello and was a strange dark red color like ketchup. It kept the shape of its round container and was pretty gross looking. I have to eat gluten free and our waitress was awesome with all the questions I had. She never seemed upset or irritated with me. Was pretty knowledgeable, but had the owner come over to talk with me. He was amazing, actually sat down at our table, went over everything. He customized my order so it would be gluten free. Wow! Jolene said she would treat us poorly and she lied. Had the Cabbage Burger. I know but try it. Delicious! Had green chili on my fries. Wow. Partner had the Brat. Really well cooked and delicious. This is a great, down home Cafe in the edge of Dacono, CO., as you enter the town. It's got the best clam chowder in town. If I remember correctly it's ONLY made in the weekends. And it's first come first serve until it's gone. They have a pretty good variety for the children's menu. And the staff is friendly, as well as prompt to get make sure you're well taken care of as a customer. They also have the best cabbage burgers in town. We ate at that elf Grill for breakfast for our first time. Everybody was very friendly and helped us with our food selections. I had a burrito that was very good it was quite large. I thought the prices were a little pricey but there was so much food that I have enough for breakfast the next day. Stopped by here on the way home from work and I was not disappointed. My 7 year old insisted we stop and have dinner here because he had been here before. It was my first time. We were greeted by the hostess seated immediately. Our server was prompt and got our drinks out presently. After we ordered our drinks we were greeted at our table by Ryan and Frankie. My son knew what he wanted but I was in the throes of indecision. So I asked Frankie, the owner, what she recommends. She was partial to "the elf" and suggested something with her green chili in it. I opted for the philly (which was excellent by the way) because I had a taste for a sandwich. But I couldn't resist a taste when She offered me a sample of her green chili. It was hearty, flavorful and had a little bit of a kick to it. Delicious. Before we went, my son talked about the people that worked there and why he liked it so much. I can see now why he likes the place. It's like going to your extended family's place for a good, home cooked meal. Ryan and our server came around and asked how everything was. They brought a special desert for my son and Frankie even took some time to read with my son. Before I entered my current career, I worked in restaurants for five years. These folks are doing all of the right things. Every single person working there was awesome and very nice. I'm very happy to see an independently owned restaurant in my area that loves what they do.
