I'll be completely honest -- when I walked in and got my first glance of the dining area, I wondered if I had made a mistake. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't dirty or unkempt in any way, but it had that old, hole-in-the-wall kind of feel that can either be a good thing or a bad thing. Well, it was a good thing. I'm so glad I gave this place the benefit of the doubt! The server (Jamiee, I think) was very friendly and attentive. I love Mexican food, and I'm kinda picky when it comes to the little things like sauces, chips, guacamole, salsa, etc. For me, that's usually a pretty good barometer for how the rest of the food is going to be. I ordered chips, salsa, and a side of guacamole to start. The chips were homemade, and soooo freaking good -- thick and crunchy, but still had a light texture. The guacamole was absolutely top shelf -- creamy but not runny, and just the perfect amount of spices, tomatoes and onions. The salsa had a decent kick, but nothing crazy. It was really good, if not a smidge on the runny side. The star of the show here was the smothered burrito. I ordered mine with carne asada. The sucker was huge, and loaded to the rim of the plate with a green chile sauce that was just, well, ridiculous. The melty cheese on top, with tomatoes, lettuce, and a respectable dollop of sour cream on the side, was a full-on party for my tastebuds. Why the 4 stars then, and not 5, you might ask? Well, the carne asada was a bit too charred for my liking. Just a few too many crispy/crunchy pieces for it to be perfect. The chunks that weren't crispy were super tender though. I just wanted more of that. Got a mango shake to go, made with hand-scooped ice cream (not soft serve). It tasted good but blended way too long, to the point of being runny. If I lived anywhere near here, I would 100% go back, not even a question. read more

I can excuse the 40 minute time it took to deliver our meals, because they extended a 25% discount on our check because someone turned off the gas to the grill while cleaning. I can excuse the taco salad devoid of frijoles. I can excuse the onion rings, because they rocked! But the generic processed, baked, bland nuggets which arrived instead of the tenders ordered, and the abysmal side of chili cheese fries pounded the final nail into the evening's coffin. I'll confess this was takeout. But there are other things that I think I want to try in the future. I liked the shredded lettuce salad a lot. The macaroni and cheese was made with a béchamel sauce to begin with so it was pretty creamy. I personally prefer it that way. Looks like a good place to hang out. Whatever you do do not order the country fried steak it is absolutely horrible. The burritos were great. The country burrito was really good as well. Mashed potatoes were good but the country fried steak was really definitely a one star kind of place. We had to ask him to replace it for us and then they charge us more for a chicken patty I asked the manager and he said that that's just how their system does it. Why don't you take a point at customer service and not do something like that overall, a pretty cool place and was OK. We started going here since they offer a patio for dogs to be with us during the hot summer day. The food is good and we have never been disappointed. Good but it ought to be great. Comfortable old style dive bar and grill, some of the bar food is from scratch and excellent, some tastes like fridge-to-microwave and is a let down. Waiter was warm, funny, friendly. Furniture is worn out in spots and decor is kind of improvisational. Menu is huge, which may be why food quality varies so much; at half the number of choices (keep the ones you do from scratch) there would still be plenty of excellent choices. Has a neighborhood hangout vibe that's pleasant, but some of the more run down things need a little sprucing up. i just went there today. Honestly, worst place I've ever been too. First off, the place looks horrible, for what they charge. They charge $4 for chips and salsa, like you get that at any Mexican place for free. I saw $12 avocado toast. Secondly, I ordered some food and dessert. They brought the dessert first, like 5 min into sitting down. and we waited about an hour and we still didn't have food. I ended up telling the waitress to just charge us for what we had, but she refused and charged us the full amount when we hadn't eaten our main meal. For a small hole in the wall this lil gem is my favorite place in town to get a good burger! My personal favorite is the green chile burger! The pulled pork sandwich is another favorite as is the Philly! The service is usually pretty good as they do get pretty busy. The bar makes some decent margaritas! Fun new restaurant in Brighton, Colorado with multiple food theme options. Delighted to try on a night with entertainment by The YounHeart Band. The show was extraordinary and gave us a feeling of being on vacation. Will come back when they are playing! Restaurant has an outdoor area with room for games and groups such as "singles" corn ball competition. Fun place to meet people and hold special events. The parking lot next door makes the dining adventure easy. Main Street Philly sandwich was at least 12 inches and delicious. Enough to share! Nice and spicy with a soft bun. The chicken burrito was mild, medium size and tasty. Tried the BBQ wings and they were ok as we prefer them crispy. Will ask for crispy next time. A Mexican hamburger for $18.00 is absolutely ludicrous. I asked for some chips and salsa and was served a small basket of cold chips and about 5 tablespoons of watered down salsa. What really pissed me off was when I got the bill and was charged an additional $3.00 for some extra salsa. The chips and salsa were $4.00 and being charged $3.00 for a few more tablespoons of salsa was a slap in the face. When I asked the server about the $3.00 charge, he just smiled and said that was their policy. After we received our food, we never saw a waiter again. Not for refills, for boxes, our check. Nothing. Most of my party even left, hoping that would indicate that we were ready to go. Nope. I recently visited this establishment and had horrible service, I explained to my server (I believe her name was Arealy), that I have an extreme sensitivity to gluten and that my sandwich needed to have a gluten-free free bun, she seemed very annoyed by my request. When my food arrived, I tried to ask my server if my bun was gluten-free and she ignored me, I grabbed another server, who noticed that the bun was a normal bun. When she tried to inform my server of the mistake, the young lady was snapped at, and my server said she didn't care. I am very disappointed in my server and her lack of care and concern for my life. When we were originally approached by our waitress, she asked us about drink orders and asked if we wanted any appetizers. We declined the appetizers. She said "Do you guys want chips and salsa?" We thought it was free because of the way she presented it. When we received our bill, we were charged $3 for chips and salsa. That is so tacky. That alone will make me not ever come back to this place again in my life ever. Let alone the fact that I don't think I've ever paid for chips and salsa at a restaurant in my entire life ever, ever,, EVER! Onto the food: The smothered veggie breakfast burrito for $9 was so-so. Average price, but I'm not sure if the green chili came out of a jar or what, but it just lacked any real flavor. The burrito was mostly hash browns inside also. Not something I would order again. The Tacos plate was ordered with Al Pastor, and Carne Asada (2 of each). At $15 this was priced I guess average or maybe slightly above average. My wife said the tacos were decent but not anything she would order again. She stated that the meat didn't taste spicy at all, it was kind of bland. The kids had no complaints about their meals. At $7, these are I guess, on average with this quality of kids meals at local restaurants. We would order the kids meals again if we ever came back here (unlikely). Pros: They are open when Main St. Café is not. It is clean. Parking is easy. Cons: -Being in this restaurant makes your ears bleed because of the noise level. -It has a very uninviting and cold atmosphere due to the sparsity of tables and the loud, blank interior. -The waitress offering us chips and salsa as if they were free, and then surprising me with a $3 charge on my bill at the end of the meal for them. read more

I found Main St Grill on Yelp as I and my family were visiting from out of town. We almost missed it as the cafe next door has a very similar location but is closed in the evening. Service was quick and friendly. Food arrived quickly and was hot and good portions. All the food was excellent, including the chips and salsa we ordered as an appetizer, though the salsa is spicy for my very mild tongue!
