The food is good but the service is slow when it's open and now they close so early that I probably won't be able to visit after work ever again. As I communicated with the other customers and asked about the place they said it use to be a good place but it had went down hill. So I waited but about 45 mins go by I asked about my food, I was told we will get to it when we get to it. I finally had enough as I could hear a the cooks just talk smack about all the orders and the customers. Let just put it this way! If you have any doubt when you read my review then don't go. Driving through Brighton stopped in here to pick up a quick lunch. We were kind of skeptical because you had to get it to go do to Covid 19. So we went across the street and ate our lunch in the park. Tacos Rapidos did not disappoint. We ordered one combination enchilada with a burrito which was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the super nachos with Carne Asada. The orders were so large we ended up having to take home leftovers. We ended up eating it again that evening and even reheated it was delicious. People who helped me were nice enough and the food seemed to be truly authentic but probably to authentic for this gringo. The atmosphere was nothing but bad. The smell of used grease along with everything looking dirty is enough to keep me away. The size of the building looks big but the seating area is very small. Someone asked to use the bathroom and they were quickly told it didn't work, I think that might be an ongoing answer but I don't know for sure. I love the town of Brighton and I try and go to the locals for food and service but this one I will stay away from. I'm bummed because I really wanted to like it. This is the go-to, late-night, Mexican fast-food drive-thru in Brighton. It never really occurs to me to eat here unless I just left a bar, and need some carne asada burrito to soak up some o' that alkyhol. (And christ forbid that I would go to Taco Bell, or, as I like to call it, Caca Hell). These guys can be a little hard to communicate with, even though I speak a smattering of Gringoese, but perserverance pays off, and you drive off into the night (uh, not ME, of course, the, uh designated driver....drives...), clutching your bag of burritos. Get home, and commence to stick yer face into a BIG ol' tube of gloriously greasy, beefy, beany, cheesy, guacamole-y GOODNESS. You can expect a long wait time for your food and don't expect them to alter any one dish for you even if you are willing to pay more for it. We go to Taco Rapidos all the time. The problem I had was we went late at about 10.30pm and the food was spoiled. We live too far away and it was too late to go back. We had tacos and Nachos. The taco meat was spoiled,I spit it out. The Nachos were hard as a rock. So all we could eat was the steak off of it. I hope we don't get sick later for doing so. Tacos Rapido! Just Horrible! Spent $110 on a large breakfast order of huevos ranchers and breakfast burritos. Burritos were very dried out from being over cooked... Huevos Ranceros orders were all wrong per how they were ordered, tacos Rapido just made the orders all the same way.... Despite being ordered different ways. Example, Asked for sunny side up eggs and NO tamatoes... all orders had badly overcooked and burned eggs and were all completely smothered in a watery pico de gallo... asked for fried potatoes and cheese to be added to the Huevos Ranchers, I was charged but none of the orders were with potatoes and cheese... when I placed this phone order to Taco Rapidos, because it was a large order, the woman taking the order was interrupting and seemed to be rushing me while taking my order. I also could barely understand the thick Spanish accent as well. I wish this were the only food quality and bad experience I've had from Taco Rapidos, but it is not. TACO DAYTONA 500 GREASE PIT- Wow, this place is a grease pit! Not to mention the sweat dripping off the face of the customer service/ cook rep. Now, I took into consideration that this place is fast food; so my expectations were not high, but I have never witness a Taco Bell rep. come to the register, wipe their sweaty face with a towel and say, "What do you need?" That kinda, grossed me out! At least the staff look healthier at Taco Bell. I also took into consideration that night help might be hard to find. When I got my burrito I took one bite and had to throw it away, it was full of grease. I could taste more of the grill than the food. Makes me wonder when the grill was last cleaned? You could hold the burrito over the trash can and ring out the grease. Nasty! I later found out that this place uses lard to cook with, you know the pasty, white bacon grease that looks like white butter, caked on bottom of frying pan after it has cooled to room temperature. The thought of that stuff, clogging my arteries, just gave me chills. This place is perfect for a teenagers who want to mature their black heads into full popping zits.
