Could only choke down one of four tacos. The chicken rolled tacos were still partially cold in the middle, way under fried. For $18 I was able to eat one taco and 1/2 a rolled taco. Trashed the rest. I am not a fan. Sign on the building says they're under new management, so was really hoping there was some improvement. Menu is the same. Cashier still takes money and cc's then turns around and touches your food with ungloved hands. The guacamole is watered down and odd tasting, even worse than before, it does not taste good. My husband likes the chicken chimichanga so we get take out on rare occasion, which is also why they got 2 stars instead of 1. Portions are good size. I received the wrong order, so I called to let them know about the issue. The person I spoke with was rude and accused me of lying about my order. It seems like he is often drunk or high. The cook should come out to handle situations like this because the employee can't even communicate properly. The food was good, but not as good as the location in Longmont. The service was decent, but the restaurant itself is quite smaller than the location in Longmont. I guess I am really spoiled living in Houston Texas because I am used to good food. This was alright. They are getting four stars because they stayed open late so we could grab a quick bite. We were not that hungry and didn't want to drive 25 mins into Denver as we were tired from all of the activities in Breckenridge. So we decided to give taco Palace a shot. Good: I mean the food is alright. Not much flavor to meat. I asked for nacho cheese they put shredded. She even asked again I said nacho cheese but we still got shredded lol. Not a big deal. Just. They've got a drive-through, so it's a nice option during COVID. My husband tried their chile verde and raved about it, so when he is coming home from working in the area he can grab dinner for us. The chile verde is good. The pork might be roasted before adding it to the stew, which gives it a great flavor. Tortillas are good. I'm a sucker for carne asada fries, so we've shared those and enjoyed them. No cheese sauce but real cheese on them, which I prefer. The one burrito I've had was not my style. The veggie burrito had refried beans, cheese, rice, and lettuce/tomato/sour cream. I'm not a fan of rice in my burritos, and the cold lettuce/tomato/sour cream detracted from the warm, comfort-food feeling I usually get from a bean burrito. Lettuce and tomato aren't the veggies I imagined I'd get, but that's not their fault. In all, this is a solid takeout choice if you're in the area. Not good. I ordered a breakfast burrito. Everything was so blended together it felt like I was eating dog food in a tortilla. The tortilla was dripping with oil and somehow dry at the same time. I think it was warmed up for too long. The pico I ordered on the side was obviously old and starting to go bad. The burrito was twice the size it needs to be but didn't taste good. Ok I knew they were working on this bldg, and low and behold it turned into a Taco Palace! So if you've ever had Raliberto's off of Wadsworth and liked it you will like this place as well, and if you haven't you will still really like this place. Keep in mind it's only about 2 weeks old so they are still working on the hiccups probably but we didn't have any at this time. Our food was delicious and plentiful. I myself enjoyed the beans, and my Wife liked the rice. I must say we all really enjoyed our meals. The inside is nothing fancy but the prices are very reasonable. Our first meal with no drinks ran us just under $30. They also serve breakfast and for now the employee said the hours are 8-10 M-Su. I would really say give this place a shot it's new to Brighton but the taste and product is familiar to us. One more reason to keep us in Brighton instead of going into Denver to eat, fast and cheap. Never had a praised a restaurant dish as much as their chile verde,driving few time out of my way only to be dissapointed recently, I orderd Tacos As had not tried and Chile verde. Tacos were barbacoa and asada, the barbacoa was lacking salt amd was way to greasy, the asada was tad salty and not much else seasoning or flavor. The biggest dissapointmemt was the chile verde,no where near or similiar ro what I had here previusly, it was shreded beef basically steamed no searing or much flavor, the sauce was bland and too watery, the only positive is meat was soft but besides that I was hungry and ate it. Is it still pretty good? Yes it is ok if you are in the area and hungry. Would I go out of my way as before? Definately not. I was running late to a client's and needed something quick, so I pulled in impulsively to grab some chips and guacamole. The sign was flashing OPEN but there were chairs piled on all the tables and the place looked dead. I mostly worried that there were no guys eating by their work trucks in the parking lot, and not a Mexican in sight, but I braved the desolate to-go lane anyway. Happily, I was helped right away with pleasant customer service on the mic, and I was served as soon as I pulled up to the window. Then I had a discussion with myself about what I was going to do with the plastic bag bc humans are insane and I can't believe we're still doing this (especially Latino families who tend to love their children and grandchildren so dearly but are not looking out for their only habitat... Sigh... Not to mention buying organic makes you a fringe element even though so many Mexican people suffer so much from picking toxic produce. But I don't need to tell anyone there are virtually no pure choices these days besides love, and who knows about that because some scientists say empathy makes us stupid. Anyway, ethics stuffed down into a manageable containment field, humanity be damned! I was hungry and I didn't want to bother with trying to get her back the bag because she'd probably just throw it away anyway. Luckily guacamole is a little bit of a cure for cynicism. So I drove off wondering why my legs felt warm and worried that they'd given me the wrong thing, but when I opened the... styrofo- ohhh oh Ohhhhhm (singin' a little song about wonderin' why we're all so stupid and self-destructive, and about how there are infinite universes and just remiiiiindin' myself to breeeeeeathe deeeeeeeep-leeeee.....) container, OH MY those chips were SO fresh that they were still really warm. And they were SO light and crispy. Really super delicious. I have some chips left and even after hours in my hot car they're still really nice and light and crispy. Virtually no grease left in the wax paper in the to-go box. The guacamole was creamy (Understandable given the current economic climate and the nature of avocados) but I would have liked an option for some hot sauce. Okay so the biggest advice I can give about this place is if you go here, only go through the drive thru. Do not order online or call to order because they will not even put it in the list. One time I was inside in my pajamas waiting for my order watching the drive thru customers for almost an hour one time. So I learned my lesson from that. At Taco Palace, you can eat like royalty for relatively cheap - my wife and I spent $26 (with tip) on 4 Al Pastor Tacos and a Carne Asada Fries. The tacos were stacked with deliciousness and accompanied by a grilled spring onion, plenty of salsas, pickled carrots/peppers, limes - it felt splendidly authentic and thoughtful. The Carne Asada was huge! We could not finish it, there was so much left over! In a world of Taco Bell being the most popular fast food "Mexican" restaurant, this place blows them out of the water with both food/flavor/authenticity, price, and service. We went through the drive-thru, and being a fan of speaking the language, my gringo-self gave out a ridiculous, "Hola!" The man behind the speaker box reciprocated the enthusiasm and it really made my day using my basic Spanish ability as a part of the ordering experience. Pulling up to the window, we were met with a smile and kindness. In peering inside the restaurant, it brought back fond memories of my days working with Hispanic women--humble, inviting, anti-pretentious! Finally a great Mexican restaurant in Brighton. If you don't like authentic Mexican food, this place is not for you. The Chili Verde is seared with a crust you don't see north of the Yucatán, still tender in sweet tomatillo sauce. Tortillas are homemade and served warm every time. Tacos remind me of walking Tulum or Cabo and grabbing some from a street vendor. My only feedback is they should CUT BACK on their portions. The amount of food you get is ridiculous and quite frankly I don't know how they can sustain a profit with how cheap their menus is. A struggling family of four could probably share an entree' if needed lol. All in all great job guys! Never order ahead of time - food cold and parts of meal missing! NOT DRIVER'S FAULT! Ordered doordash of nearly $70 to be delivered at a later time (3 hours later) because I was traveling from out of town. Instead, they immediately accepted my order and food was delivered cold and missing parts of the meal. I've never had this problem before with any other restaurant. I'm so disappointed that I paid that much money for food and they couldn't prepare it at a proper time. Instead, they cooked it early and had it sitting and waiting for who knows how long! I visited here shortly after they opened and ordered carnitas tacos al carbone. The meat was dried out and so gristly and fatty that I couldn't chew it. I resolved to never eat there again. Well last night we came into town tired from a day of traveling and my wife asked for mexican food from a competitor. Well they weren't open so I decided to try taco palace again. I ordered two chicken and bean tostadas and a bean and carnita burrito. I got the order and took it home. My burrito was full of the same dried up carnitas. Imagine cubes of jerky, and no beans. A tortilla stuffed with jerky. My wife's tostada's weren't that bad, but definetly not good. I decided to call them to relay my disappointment and I hung on the telephone for ring after ring. After about 15 rings I gave up. I am still thinking of writing the owner but am not sure it is worth the effort. read more

Finally found somewhere with excellent Colorado burritos! The carnitas street tacos were excellent as well and the kids liked their beef enchiladas. They are open late and we plan to try other items on the menu ASAP. Food came out fast and fresh. My wife's only complaint was a lack of a mild salsa, they all seemed pretty spicy but that isn't a huge deal. We can't wait to come back, this is one of the best in the Denver metro! read more
