Just a great place and best kept secret

Great location, Great atmosphere, Great Staff and Great food... all around fantastic! I can't say anything negative wel... except that I wish the both style seating around the windows were elevated so you could see the beautiful views. The atmosphere is upscale, warm and inviting. The staff is above and beyond! The food exquisitely presented and The Taste melts in your mouth. Perfect for any business lunch or evening out or even a Sunday afternoon brunch.

I love coming to Elevation! I currently work in the Henry W. Oliver Building with the Embassy Suites, and it's the perfect little place to grab lunch! I have only visited Elevation for lunch and it has never been crowded. The waiter (most likely Dan) is a character and makes sure you're well taken care of. Unfortunately I haven't been able to veer from the Chicken Bacon Avocado Sandwich, but the two times I had it, it's been more than delicious! Their fries are fresh cut and come with some seasoning on them - almost like an Old Bay seasoning, but not real strong. My co-worker always gets the Shrimp Tacos and she loves them! They are sesame shrimp and there's usually about 2-3 shrimp on the taco. I also came here with another co-worker who ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad for lunch and it was a pretty big serving with plenty of chicken pieces! They also mentioned that the cheddar broccoli soup was delicious! I'm convinced there isn't a bad meal at this restaurant and the atmosphere is modern and sleek. However, The booths sit a little far from the tables, I had to sit on the very edge of the booth while I ate. I hear the tables in the back by the windows are the best with the view! The waiter is a little intruding at times, but he means well! Overall, it's a very nice restaurant to visit, especially during lunch being that you're most likely to be one of 3-5 parties there, so your food is brought out pretty quickly. And pricing isn't bad for the quality and quantity that you receive!

Found this place on Yelp. Decided to give it a try. I'm a fan of taking an elevator up to the restaurant. I loved the atmosphere when first arriving to the 25th floor. After being seated we were greeted by our waiter Brian. He was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I ordered a house salad and Roasted chicken which was fabulous. My fiancé got a chicken caesar salad which was also great. Over all the whole experience was a good one. I think we will be returning for sure.

Nope, limited menu and you can't even see out the windows from your table as the windows are too high.

Now, I am going to take you on a journey just like the books Belle read so strap in. We had a 5:45 PM reservation, and even arrived a few minutes early. The hostess/employee (I don't want to assume positions) took me upstairs for a table right by the window, which will be an awesome view when the construction finishes. It was also a beautiful sight of that part of the city as-is. When I was seated, I was one of a few tables seated. It was not full or even busy at that time. Also, as we were seated, we were given waters. My friend joined me about 5-7 minutes after the reservation time. We then ordered our drinks at about 6:00/6:05 PM. From there, we waited and did not meet our waiter, who will be referred to as sweet baby angel Max from here on out, until about 6:20 PM. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees at around this time. Our orders had some modifications but nothing major. By this time, many more tables were seated upstairs and others seemingly received their alcoholic drinks and even appetizers by the time we received only our drinks around 6:30-6:40. Our drinks were big, too, which is great, but that also meant we had to drink them a little more quickly due to the time constraints with the show. We were enjoying ourselves but noticed multiple more tables receiving not only their drinks and apps but also their entrees. Once 6:55 came, we had to tell sweet baby angel Max about our predicament. I will be honest and say we suggested for our drinks to be comped at least - not only for the wait and lack of courtesy with everyone else receiving their items before us despite our arrival and reservation time, but for the fact that we would have maybe 15 minutes to eat, finish our drinks, pay, take our food back to our cars, and make curtain time. What sweet baby angel Max did next flabbered our gasts -- he said not only will our drinks be comped but our whole meal will be comped. He also helped pack our food and kept it in the back so we didn't have to worry about going back to our cars. We made sure to tip him with all we had! We are so glad we did because when we returned after the show, he had the kitchen remake the food and kept it warm for us. When you go to The Eagle, ask for sweet baby angel Max and you will not be disappointed with him, the service, or the food. Because even when they may mess up? The Eagle gets it right with their classy attitude and positive treatment of their customers. You definitely have multiple return customers just from this encounter. Thank you!!!

LOVED our dinner at this place…read more We came here for dinner while visiting Pittsburgh. The first thing that struck me was the interior decor. Very industrial and moody with an open kitchen/preparation area that adds some intrigue. I do like to see the happenings of what's going on as someone with zero attention span. Service was excellent. George was fantastic. He kept a close eye on us without being overbearing. He anticipated what we might need so we didn't spend one second waiting to order anything. The menu is not endless or overwhelming which, presumably, allows them to focus on the items that are listed. I have decision panic so it was kinda nice to have less things to choose from. They asked if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions so I mentioned my vegetarianism. George went through the menu and pointed out the vegetarian options including what seems like it is vegetarian but isn't. They had TWO vegetarian entree options and fortunately the non-mushroom one was something I probably would have ordered anyway: pesto with walnuts, arugula, and a very generous amount of grated cheese. To start, I ordered the Brussels sprouts whichc I was warned had fish sauce. This was fine but nothing that blew me away. GF, on the other hand, loved this. GF ordered the wedge which was brought to our attention as vegetarian with the bacon on the side, which was her request. We ended up sharing both, a large part of that was because hers came out first and I couldn't wait but I'm so glad because the wege was FANTASTIC. The dressing? holy fuck pure ecastasy. The wedge was more like a filet shape which was much easier to eat. Who decided on the wedge shape anyway? The lettuce was so fresh and crisp and went wonderfully with that orgasmic dressing and breadcrumbs. Back to my pasta. Also delectable. Noodles were al dente. The sauce was creamy and packed that pesto umami flavor. The walnuts were a really nice contrast in texture. Everything about it absolutely fucking slapped. GF ordered the mushroom entree which came served on a bed of barley which, don't mind if I do, had a few forkfuls to "sample" for "my review". Again, so fucking good. Because it was my birthday, George provided a dessert (yuzu maybe?) that was served inside a meringue-esque igloo, creamy perfect balance of sweet and tart custard with some berry business underneath. Wonderful. I almost forgot their spectacular cocktails! Holy shit, literally they have a CORN CHIP cocktail that I could not pass up. It comes with two massive cornchips on top of a flavored foam. When you bring the glass up to sip, the cornchips are right in front of your nose and their aroma sets the stage for the drink which was STRONG. It wasn't as corn chip forward as I expected but I understand that flavor is probaly hard to create. For my second drink, I ordered the blue one which was refreshing, light, and really good. GF ordered a spritz which was gorgeous "it was good". For second round, I picked out some uranium thing that was very cucumbery, GF says, "it was good". I just read it outloud to her. "it's true!" Fantastic meal at a great place.

Right in the heart of downtown, this place makes a strong first impression. You walk in and immediately notice the high ceilings and overall vibe--modern, but still warm. We headed upstairs and lucked out with a window table, which made for a great brunch atmosphere. Our waitress was super friendly, and once I spotted a mimosa on the menu... yeah, that decision was made instantly. Gotta celebrate draft weekend properly We started with the smoked salmon appetizer--perfect portion, super fresh, and a great way to kick things off. Then came the toughest decision of the morning: blueberry lemon pancakes or cherry cheesecake French toast? Both sounded like they belonged in the brunch hall of fame. But in the end, the brunch favorite called my name--the cheesy tater tot waffle. And let me tell you... absolutely worth it. Crispy, cheesy, and topped with over-easy eggs that brought it all together. One of those dishes where you just sit there for a second after the first bite like, "yeah, I made the right call." Wrapped it up with a hot coffee, refueled and ready for another full day of draft energy. Here's to Pittsburgh draft weekend and a brunch that delivered. Let's raise our mimosas and give a Yelp Elite-style thanks to a spot that knows how to do brunch right.

I also got the sweet potatoes as a side and they were lovely. I tried to re-create them at home. For dessert I had the strawberry pretzel salad and as a native Pittsburgher, I was expecting something very different. It was good and unique, but it was not at all what I expected. I would definitely recommend the valet. It was cheaper than self-parking in a nearby lot.

I went there with a small group of families/kids after an outing at the Children's Museum; it was great to be able to walk over to an easy lunch that was better than the museum cafe. We'd probably come back just for this convenience. But I can also see how Federal Galley could have a sports bar feel when a Bucco or Steeler game is going on nearby. That said, the food was just ok. Portions were huge, but the dishes were kind of basic with a ton of sauciness/goopiness. My burrito from Mijo had a ton of chicken but not much in terms of beans and rice and no veggies or garnishes. My wife got a huevos rancheros bowl that just had mountains of sauce; it filled her up, made her very thirsty, and made a huge mess. The kids cheese burger and fries from Triple S was just fine for my daughter but, again, basic.
