    Mini Crab Cake Appetizer
    Danielle M.

This is one of our favorite places in Greentree! We live within walking distance so it's very convenient for us! It's a cute spot right with a chill vibe for all ages. A wooden, older feel with excellent service. They are open everyday but Sundays! They have the BEST Buffalo chicken salad EVER.. It's my favorite and go-to. The ranch is YUM. Alex loves the G.T.I Burger and is a huge fan! Tonight, we tried the mini crab cakes for an appetizer and WOW. We both agreed they were the best crab cakes we've had, this isn't an exaggeration. I'd go here and recommend the CC to anyone. Our waitress, Stephanie was AMAZING. She was so polite, super friendly and funny. She was helpful with any questions we had! They don't have there HH back up yet, but when they do, def check it out.

    Chicken Parmigiana Sandwich with Fries

I met a coworker for lunch here and was not disappointed. We chose this restaurant because we saw that it had a parking lot which is always a plus in the area. This place definitely has an old feel to it, which I always enjoy. We sat at the bar and had a drink before we ordered our lunch. The bar was pretty big. We were comfortable enough there to have our lunch. The bartender was very nice and was attentive to us throughout our time there. She gave us menus to look over their selection. I went with the chicken parmigiana sandwich with fries. It was very good. This was my first time here and I was impressed. I would definitely come back!

I came to Aracri's with a friend on a Friday afternoon for lunch and had a great experience. I've worked in Greentree for 7 years and finally tried this pace out! The inside of the restaurant had a "older" vibe to it and even had a old school register in the front. The host and waitress was super nice. Our food arrived promptly and was delicious. I had a club sandwich that was great! The chicken noodle soup was also different as they serve theirs with very fine noodles! Recommend if you are looking for something different from the chain restaurants in the area!

Feeling peckish on the day before Easter, Kay and I utilized our holidays from our respective jobs to get some shopping done and to get lunch at a place I'd been neglecting to try, one that I've flew past more times than I know. High ceilings, olden decor, antiques, and wooden beams caught my eye as I entered this 45 year old establishment, as did the portly gentleman(owner? manager? head cook?) wearing a deep blue t-shirt emblazoned with the visage of Walter Sobchak. Minutes after we were seated, we saw someone dressed as Walter Sobchak. As luck would have it, a screening of Joe and Ethan Coen's cinematic tour de force "The Big Lebowski" was taking place with many of our fellow, good-natured diners impersonating the quirky film's various characters. And this dude abided. Starting us off was a helping of Aracri's "famous" Onion Rings, and they have a right to be famous considering their lightly battered, fried-to-bronze, not-overly-oily properties. Considering we weren't out of the Lenten forest just yet, I decided to stay on Jesus' good side (And I ain't talkin' about Mr. Quintana. What would The Dude, do, anyway? He'd screw up like me and have lamb and chicken on Good Friday, testin' the Christman as if he'd really care if he walked the Earth today...) and order the Crab Cakes. Broiled expertly, served with tartar sauce, and generously stuffed with jumbo lump, each cake was as moist as a pumpkin pie, and neither possessed much in the way of filler. The french fries were a bit limp and dark, a tell-tale sign that they were merely blanched once in boiling fat that was in need of being changed. Also had was something emblematic of Middle America, a salad I hadn't eaten in a few years and never in a restaurant. An Iceberg Wedge Salad complete with bleu cheese dressing (not my favorite, but it was the only choice I was given) and bacon bits. For burps and chuckles I ordered it an was surprised at how much enjoyment I gained from breaking it down, making sure each forkful of fresh lettuce arrived in my mouth coated in the biting, milky dressing and fatty, crunchy, briny bacon, the tragically unheralded and sometimes derided salad succeeding through simplicity and tradition. Dessert was a pecan ball slathered in whipped topping from a plastic tub and hot fudge that was irradiated in a glass jar (Smuckers be thy name?). It quelled my angry sweet tooth and little more. Aracri's is one of those venerable suburban restaurants that deserves its longevity and its continued business, thriving on the standards and ignoring that which is trendy and new. P.S. Wouldja believe I've never seen "The Big Lebowski" in its entirety? I guess I need to get on that. Until Netflix leads me towards enlightenment, this has always been my preferred Coen Brothers piece, standing as tall as John Goodman himself on my list of all-time cherished films... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AIfVoGUs6c

I texted that number and no response. I even followed up a week or so later and, again, no response. I will leave my original review below. This past weekend, my boyfriend and I came for restaurant week. He took me there originally the night we started our relationship, we went here on our one year anniversary, and we continued the tradition this year. Unfortunately, we didn't have the most wonderful experience as our first year. It seems like every time we come, it's not as special of an experience. Our waitress Denise was not the most welcoming and we almost felt rushed our whole night. The first year it was all timed out well and we had plenty of time to enjoy our courses as well as our wine pairings before going on to the next. Just the little things like getting dirty silverware, music being quite loud, and nearly spilling drinks as they were set down. We don't treat ourselves often to nice dinners like this. To see the service quality go down each year is disappointing, especially considering how wonderful of a time we had the first year. I should also mention, after dinner my boyfriend made it aware one of the employees left the men's room without washing his hands. Needless to say, it was a disappointing night and we aren't sure if we'll be coming back. It's a shame because the food is wonderful and the view is just gorgeous.

Our server was excellent and the auxiliary staff were courteous and efficient. We started with a calamari appetizer which was a little spicy but delicious. Beware of the two Thai chilies in the mix! Next my husband had the lobster bisque. It was quite rich with a large chunk of lobster as a garnish. Our main courses were a 10 ounce filet, wild caught shrimp stuffed with crabmeat and Chilean sea bass. Everyone loved their entrees. Our son especially loved the filet, it was so tender. We ordered two side dishes for the table and they were plenty for the three of us. Decadent lobster mashed potatoes and crabmeat fried rice. We shared a dessert, creme brûlée which was topped with fresh berries and served with chewy cocoa snowflake cookies. Overall the food was excellent. Service started out a little rocky. I had made a reservation online and it would only let me choose a high top. We don't like high tops so I called the restaurant a few days before and they assured me they could accommodate us with a regular table, not to worry. Upon entering and giving my name for the reservation, the Maitre D'être said it's for a high top. I explained that I'd called and we didn't want a high top. He said he could only offer us a booth in the lounge, so we took it. The lounge had a jazz trio playing and the music was a bit too loud for comfortable conversation. The server had to talk above the music to be heard by us. Luckily they took a break and when they came back the volume was lower. As we were leaving I noticed there was a whole dining room with empty tables which were NOT high tops. So why did they seat us in the lounge? Our drink orders were pretty simple, however because they serve the cocktails from the shaker, the server mixed up the dinks and poured my husband's margarita into my 'dirty' martini glass. So I had a three blue cheese olive margarita! A margarita-tini! He realized what he did, apologized and ran off to get another margarita for my husband. I had eaten the olives and tasted the margarita, which was very good. When he returned, he asked if I still wanted the martini and I laughed and said, yes, that what I ordered. So my husband got the benefit of two Margaritas for the price of one and I got three extra blue cheese olives! That was the only goof up. The rest of the meal was flawlessly served. I felt that even though the prices are high, the portion size and the quality of the food provide a good value. You expect to pay more in a place like this. It was well worth it in my opinion. And if you are there during Happy Hour you can choose cocktails and appetizers from the Happy Hour menu which is quite reasonable.

Our cocktails were subdued but very tasty. First we were served a pea soup shooter--we all wanted a whole bowl. Also got the chicken with couscous and peas. Sounds plain but it was anything but plain. The other mains were just as good. We finished off with three desserts. The carrot cake got rave reviews from my dining partners (not my style). The Creme Brulle was very large and perfectly cooked. But the best dessert was the deconstructed Smore. The chocolate, the merengue, the graham crumbs, a little ice cream. Oh, I'm going to be dreaming of this dessert for a long time!
