    Veggie side

To start the service is great and our lack luster experience is not something our great waitress could save. The bread that we started off with was almost stale? I have to guess it was just sitting out all evening. I ordered the piccata and my husband got the linguini with clams. I got my piccata with a veggie side. I 100% misheard our server when she said what it was.... It was a bowl of corn??? What "Italian" restaurant serves corn?! The piccata was lack luster but at least the chicken wasn't dry! My husband said his dish wasn't bad but the muscles were not cleaned very well. He enjoyed how garlicky the sauce was. I sadly would not recommend this place if you are looking for Italian food of any kind.

Visiting PA and my friend took me to dinner here. I got the stuffed shrimp. It was delicious. Cooked to perfection and the taste was wonderful. He had gotten the Stuffed Brandno and he preferred my shrimp even over his fish. Definitely recommend. You will not be disappointed. They also make a good drink.

We sat in the bar, since my MIL prefers it and the service and food were great. The bartender was also super friendly, tho we didn't order from her at all directly. I hadn't been there since the name change. They didn't seem to do anything to remodel, so it's a bit dated still, but it's nice enough and I care a lot more about food and service. I'd definitely return if it were a more convenient location for where I live. I'm sure I'll go back at some point anyway, since I have family down that way.

A really great cozy old school family Italian restaurant. Our server Danielle was excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. Huge portions. The place was packed, but not overwhelming which is a good sign that it's popular and everyone is happy. I want to try everything on the menu.

So we were staying in the area and did not wanna go into the city. So I found this spot on yelp. I called in a made a reservation, this I would recommend. We came on a Friday at 5 pm and it was busy. It's full of families, groups for parties and it seemed to steer a bit older but that's ok. It's pretty much old school inside, photos of Italy, assorted paintings but it does need a slight refresh. When we were seated we went thru this area that made me think of that one shot from the movie Goodfellas. Our server Scotty and the rest of the staff is really kind and friendly. They brought out some bread and butter. It was in a basket and covered We figured it was warm/hot.. nope and the butter was hard. It's minor but I just found it odd. We ordered the calamari fried, it was good not great. Some of it was perfectly fried some of it was rubbery. We both got a veal dish. Me the Veal Piccata the. veal was delicious but the piccata sauce was really lemony. Like it made you pucker.. it was a nice sauce but it was a bit too acidic. My husband got the veal parmigiana and it was delicious. Meals come with either soup or salad and or pasta or some other starch or vegetables. We both got the pasta it was bow tie it was cooked pretty good the sauce was nice but it was lukewarm. We shared a piece of tiramisu and I got a snifter of Frangelico. The dessert was just right not too sweet and the nuttiness of the Frangelico was lovely. They have specials and a big enough menu to satisfy anyone. They have a full bar and you can get wine too. Lots of choices for dessert too. It's Italian American style food and done pretty well. Give them a whirl They have a shared parking lot

I felt like Bella's had more focus on quantity than quality when we stopped in for lunch. They were fairly crowded for weekday lunch but were seated immediately. They had an extensive menu, with entrees including soup or salad and a side. I had the chicken Parmesan with a side of pasta and wedding soup. Everything was served piping hot and came out quickly, but the flavor wasn't there. However, the portion sizes were so large that I had leftover chicken for days.

Just recently heard about this place but I guess they have been around for a while. Ended up getting the vodka pasta that was on special, great flavor on the sauce. Got the saltimbocca as well which was phenomenal. They had highchairs for the kids but it appeared that there was not a kids menu. But the portions were pretty big so plenty to share. My only negative comment is that we went on an extremely hot day and their AC was not working very good so it made it difficult to enjoy the food while we were sweating. Still rating a 5 overall because that is temporary and something that has already probably been rectified.

We ordered several appetizers, the zucchini, saltimboca, arancini, and zucchini frite, which you cannot find anywhere else in Pittsburgh these days. Entrées ranged from seafood medley with Virginia spots, shrimp, and scallops to a house, special of chicken and eggplant Parmesan, to ravioli to chicken piccata. No complaints from anyone, basically everyone raved about the food. The house salad with white French and the wedding soup competed with each other for best starter. BYOB! Two people took dessert home, and we all had bags of leftovers. Outstanding!

It was only 1/3 filled at 1 PM so, i didn't understand why they were not prepared for a party with a reservation. We were taken to a table directly underneath a blower. My husband had coffee. I had hot water with lemon. Within moments, everything was cold because the blower was forceful and uncomfortable, so much so that I had to keep my wrap on the entire meal and my husband had to keep his neck scarf on. We asked our waitress if the air could be turned down. She replied it was part of the central air (as though we didn't know), and it could not be lowered. We knew that was false. We were uncomfortable the entire meal. We had been offered a booth prior to the table option but it was not conducive as we had a baby and toddler and would have been cramped. We felt as though we were being punished for not accepting the first option. At any rate, the food was average. It was not memorable or outstanding in any way. Our server was sarcastic and made a reference to my husband that was uncomplimentary. Our party consisted of two pastors who had just finished a Sunday assignment. One had driven about 100 miles. We just wanted a relaxing environment and a good seafood meal. We got neither.

I had a reservation, which could be made only over the phone, but upon my arrival, many tables were available. The seating hostess and the waiter served us well. The menu listed starters (e.g., artichoke-crab dip and provolone wheel), soups, salads, entrees (e.g., pork chop, beef brisket, chicken-sausage penne, and shrimp scampi), seafoods (e.g., ahi yellowtail tuna, salmon, sea bass, trout, and scallops), sandwiches, desserts, alcoholic beverages, etcetera. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Bread with oil - 4 stars - This free bread was room temperature so could have been warmer, but it did taste good. Crab cake - 4.5 stars - Many people online had recommended this crab cake. I ate this crab cake as an appetizer, but it is also available as a main course. The crab cake was a medium size, and it contained a good amount of crab meat. Swordfish - 3.5 stars - The waiter recommended this fish, and I forgot that it is not one of my favorites. It came with an almond-banana crust. I could taste the almonds but not so much the banana. My sides were a cauliflower mix and a house salad. Filet mignon - 4 stars - My husband ordered this steak mid-rare. It had some red and pink but was not juicy. It did taste very good. My husband chose sides of a baked potato and a house salad, which tasted as expected. Pecan Ball - 4.5 stars - This dessert was ice cream covered in pecans, whipped cream, and a cherry. The total price for the four foods and one iced tea was $99 plus tax and a tip.

So creamy and flavorful. I am super picky with my Crab Dips but this was spot on delicious! For dinner I ordered the Brisket- you get 2 sides with it and I got a salad and a baked potato. My boyfriend got the 2 Crab Cakes- he was excited because not many places offer Gluten-free Crab Cakes- and he also got 2 sides. He got a salad and the mixed vegetables.
