Great little spot in Mount Lebanon. Small menu but has a lot of great GF options that you don't normally find (fried chicken sandwich for example). GF dessert was really good. Service was decent, food was slow to come out but in their defense there was a table of at least 8 ahead of us. It's a small space so be prepared to wait; also has horrible acoustics so it gets pretty loud inside. read more

Highly recommend this place and highly recommend getting there early! Limited seating in this trendy gluten free friendly bar/lounge. They do not take reservations and we joked about there being a line. Well, when we showed up 10 minutes before opening, there was indeed a line. However, we went on Valentine's Day to one of the only GF places in the city, so that was to be expected. They were able to accommodate our party of seven no problem, and the staff were so friendly. Our server was amazing. One of our party members is hard to please, but our waiter was on top of it! We ordered a variety of apps for the table - wings, brussel sprouts, and fried provolone. All tasted fantastic. My husband and I agreed we would come just for the wings alone. Perfect smokey flavor. We got the hot buffalo garlic and they weren't super spicy. The marinara with the fried provolone was creamy and delicious. The Brussels were your standard side that every place has with the balsamic glaze. Not mushy at all and the garlic aioli was the best touch. We saw the food coming out and had to make room... the portions are huge! I could only finish half my burger and took the rest home. It was juicy, full of flavor, and easy to handle. Sometimes when you get a massive burger it ends up so sloppy and the toppings just slide off. Not with this! Perfectly stacked and ready to be devoured. The fries were a little greasy but still crispy. They earned my crisp seal of approval! The drinks were strong and everybody loved them. I got the blushing lady and it was sweet but not overly sweet and I could actually taste the spirits. Fantastic bar food options for people who are GF. We visited for the first time because someone in our group was GF and we would definitely go back! read more

Date night at Mullet's last night! It was so vibey and everyone was so nice! We got the provolone cheese wheel to start, and it is so crispy and good! Then, we both got a fried chicken sandwich, one of them being buffalo style. I got the brisket fries as my side, and they accidentally made us a whole appetizer plate, but they were so nice and just gave it to us anyways! The BBQ sauce on the fries was so light and yum! I've never had sauce like that before. Then she got a side of sweet potato fries that were so good! To finish, we got the homemade GF olive oil cake that had a blood orange sauce, and they should definitely be proud of it. It was so good! We liked the regular chicken sandwich over the buffalo! Not bad, the sauce was actually really good. It was just messier and took away that nice crunch that the chicken has. They have pretty much a whole GF chicken, so it's nice to be able to eat good food and feel safe about it! Love it here!! read more

My friend and I stopped in here on a Friday night for a cocktail while we were waiting for our takeout order at another restaurant. The place was pretty busy but the service staff were so nice and accommodating! They take such a unique selection of cocktail options that rotate monthly. Our drinks were great and reasonably priced. Our experience here overall was great! Would definitely come back to try some food next time. read more

I wasn't super hungry so I was looking for light options. The brisket crostini was light and seasoned perfectly-- the combination of flavors was savory and perfect. The salad was crisp and the dressing (homemade) was tangy which paired well with the brisket. There was a bit of pepper or some spicy seasoning in the dressing that was powerful but not to the point that it disappointed or amended the flavor. It is a casual spot but can be a great low-key date night spot too. The service was friendly and spacious. Definitely a delight and I look forward to returning! read more

I had heard good things about this place so I wanted to check it out. When I browsed the menu online I found out the ENTIRE menu is Gluten Free with the option to not get gluten free which is opposite of what it normally would be! The food was amazing! I love that they also have Gluten Free beer which is nice. The servers were really nice! And very knowledgeable. The restaurant itself is really cute and quaint. Not that many tables but its upscale but not too uppity. It's very comfortable. The prices aren't bad either and its big portion sizes and totally worth it. I will be back! read more

This is one of my favorite places in the South Hills. The cocktails are nothing short of incredible. The staff are all amazingly friendly and super skilled at what they do, which is evident by their incredible and creative rotating cocktail menu. Food is stellar as well. If you're gluten free this is absolutely your place as everything is either already GF or can be made GF eith substitutes. I would highly recommend the crispy pork belly, the brisket crostini, and the crispy brussels sprouts. As for the sandwiches, you can't go wrong. The smashburger and Bahn mi are two of my favorites. Sub a cup of the chili as your side...you won't regret it (well, the fries are great so you may have fomo). The one tip i have is that the place is small so go early, especially if you're rolling 4+ deep. Fridays and Saturdays always have a wait so please be patient. The owners Colin and Marissa are amazing, as is the rest of the bartending staff, AJ, Katie, and Bobby. And don't forget a round for the hard working kitchen staff before you leave! read more

Mullet's was an unbelievable experience. Being gluten free, I was so happy to be able to have anything on the menu because that's never the case! We started with the onion petals which was their weekly special and can't get over how good they were. The breading and sauce were amazing, and they used red onion which we thought was so different! The chicken sandwiches were unbelievable and they give you so much food. They also have really good gluten free buns (that's not always the case at other restaurants). Another thing to note is the servers were incredibly nice and helpful! My only complaint is the service was a little slow, but they were really busy. Highly recommend!! read more

Great place to grab a cocktail or something to eat. Mullets is very small in size, so not good for groups or kids. The service is decent. It is a bit dark inside, but that's the vibe. Check it out. read more

Stopped in after work for a quick bite and was really impressed from the start. The atmosphere was warm and lively without feeling crowded, and everything ran like clockwork even though it was a busy evening. The burger was absolutely delicious -- juicy, full of flavor, and paired perfectly with crispy fries that were impossible to stop eating. My cocktail was balanced and well-crafted, a perfect match for the meal. The team behind the bar kept everything moving smoothly with great energy and attention to detail. It's clear they take real pride in what they do, and that makes all the difference. This spot definitely has that neighborhood charm that makes you want to come back again and again. Great food, great drinks, and a staff that truly knows how to create an enjoyable experience. Can't wait to return soon! read more

Milletts gluten free food is AMAZING!! You cannot tell it's GF!! The fried chicken is the best I have ever had. I almost cried!! I haven't had fried chicken like this for over 20 years! Started a new job this week at an adjacent business and popped in for a cocktail and a burger after work and this place is really good. For one thing, the smash burger was huge! The fries were also really good. Superb. The bartenders were very busy but very good at staying on top of service demands. They made it look easy... just hustleing'. The restaurant was packed and the staff handled the rush like pros; seamless service. The old fashioned was spot on. One of the owners was working bar and was very good at his craft. As a lifelong restaurant guy I could tell that the team was just on top of things. Perfect neighborhood/family owned/operated spot. Really glad I stopped in. Keep in mind I am a simple man/unfussy/easy to please, but I really enjoyed my experience tonight. read more

What a great spot! My friend and I found it on a whim and decided to go. They were very busy for a Saturday night but we were able to find seats at the bar! Mullett's in Mt. Lebanon is a must try spot with attentive service! I've been a handful of times and I've been impressed each time. I eat gluten free so it's a treat to be able to order anything on the menu!!! The food is delicious, the ambiance is great and I keep coming back to try everything on the app menu, especially the Brussels sprouts and cheese wedge. I met the painter of this venue before it opened in the paint store across the street when he was buying the gold paint for the splatter on the back well. I love seeing it in there and knowing that someone did that amazing work to make it the perfect ambiance for a moody cocktail bar. read more

Came in on a Wednesday for dinner right around 530. We were lucky enough to get a table, as the space is on the smaller side and tends to fill up quick. The bartender was also waiting on us and he was very friendly and attentive. We had the cauliflower, buffalo wings, a side of fries, the brisket crostini, and the smashburger. The fries were great. They were crispy, thinner, and properly seasoned. The cauliflower needed salt, but otherwise was great. The brisket crostini had a nice crunch and there was a good amount of brisket and asiago on top. The smashburger was cooked perfectly. It had crispy edges and was juicy in the middle. The bun was a little thicker/dense than I would've liked. I ate half the burger with the bun and then ditched the bun. The bathroom is down a flight of stairs and is unisex, but was clean. read more

Wings were just ok - 5/10. They have a Smokey flavor which is not my favorite. The fried chicken sandwich was bad - 1/10. The piece of chicken was extremely small, most of it was fried breading on a bun with coleslaw and a pickle, barely any meat and cost $19. Also, If you prefer a chicken breast, do not get this sandwich. Atmosphere is nice. read more

All around excellent place to dine. Have been going to Mullet's since its opening and food/service has always been stellar.

I found out about Mullets from my local NextDoor gluten free group. I am so happy that I did! I was in disbelief that they were a gluten free kitchen, it seemed too good to be true. Service was amazing, and the food was some of the best food I've had in a while. I almost cried when the fried provolone wheel came out, it was so beautiful. There were gluten free croutons! I wish I lived closer, because I would be there every day for dinner. There are a lot of options to try. I felt special because for once, my boyfriend had to make a special request for a non gluten free bun and gluten free was the standard order! Ambience made it feel like a speak easy. My only complaint is the chairs felt a bit wobbly and I was afraid I was going to break it, but I didn't, so it all worked out. We went on a Sunday evening and service was great. We will definitely be back!!, read more

Ugh, what's all the hype about? Everyone loves this place -- but not me. Seriously, you've got to be kidding. I couldn't even finish my meal, and my husband, who's not usually one to complain, was definitely not impressed. My favorite spot for GF! Everything I've had has been amazing. Great service too and the restaurant is so cute!!!

I'm mad I slept on this place for so long. Everything from the cocktails to apps to mains was incredible. And they keep a totally gluten free kitchen suitable for celiacs (I'm not but I understand how cross contamination can be a problem) -- their buns have gluten unless you request GF, but they put the gluten ones on in a totally different kitchen. Anyway, attention to detail is not lacking -- the classic cocktails (even European classic cocktails) were spot on. Nothing but good things to say about this place. read more

My mom and I came here on a Friday night. It was a decent crowd. Although we had to wait a bit to be seated, we had no problems ordering a drink while we waited. We both got the 'Meter Maid which is definitely my new favorite summer cocktail-absolutely divine! Such a great mix of tequila, mango, and jalapeño. We ended up grabbing a couple of seats at the bar to eat. There is a tv and we got to watch some of the Pirate game. We ordered the brisket crostini, Cajun dry rub pub wings (spicy!), and the brussel sprouts. While we enjoyed everything, our favorite was the brussel sprouts. We also each ordered a draft beer which was super cold from the tap. We had really great service from both Marissa and Colin. We will absolutely be back! read more

We love mullets! Not the haircut, but the super chill cocktail bar recently opened in Mt. Lebo. The bar has fun and delicious cocktails and the menu is GLUTEN FREE! We had the honey hot wings and hummus plate along with French75 (gin and champagne) and the Jungle Bird (rum cocktail). Wings were not overly greasy with good flavor and the hummus was super smooth. There is a mix of bar seating, high tops, and plush velvet chairs at low tables. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and our date night! We went early in the evening and got a table right away. Oh and why mullets - we had the same thought? This bar is owned by a brother and sister (Mullet is their last name) read more

I was surprisingly happy with the food and experience here! Don't let the name fool you, this restaurant has a classy feel and the food is elevated to a higher level. It was packed when we walked in; however, we were able to get seats at the bar right away. Service was quick and the bartender gave us his recommendation for drinks and appetizer. I ordered a local sour beer and the hummus veggie tray. The veggie tray had plenty of cucumbers, carrots, pita, and celery for dipping. The hummus was smooth with a subtle garlic flavor. It was more than enough to share between 2 people, very filling. The menu isn't very large and prices are higher than expected, but very much worth it since they put a lot of effort and fresh ingredients into creating each dish. As an entree, I ordered the smash burger. It was the best smash burger I've ever had! The double patties were extremely juicy and had layers of cheddar cheese in between slices. Even without the fresh tomatoes and lettuce on top, the meat and grilled bun were very flavorful. The garlic aioli on top blended perfectly with all the flavors and added an extra punch of taste. Even the fries on the side were seasoned wonderfully and cooked to be slightly crispy. It was all delicious, filling, and very enjoyable! Highly recommend checking this restaurant out! read more

This place is VERY NEW, so my husband and I went to Mullet's for the first time a week ago. We loved everything about this (Mullet) family-owned cocktail bar. Even though they were quite busy, we were immediately greeted very warmly by staff and took seats at the bar. This establishment has a very chic, urban vibe. We ordered a few different cocktails and five small plates, all expertly prepared and delivered quickly. Their specialty drink, El Camino, is a new favorite (made with mezcal, whiskey, Benedictine bitters, and orange). The classic Corpse Reviver was also delicious, and their weekly special cocktail, The Bomb, was... dare I say "da bomb"? The Bomb was made with Kraken rum, lemon, aperol, and amaro. The food? Yummmmmm... The menu was so good, we had a hard time deciding what to order. EVERYTHING outstanding. They had a fried pickle special I wish they'd add to their regular menu (don't judge unless you've had well prepared fried pickles before). Lol. They blew the ones made at Primanti's out of the water. I like the ones made at Primanti's, but Mullet's has the best I've ever tried anywhere, even in the Deep South. The poutine at Mullet's is better than I've had in Montreal. My husband LOVED the Pork Belly Bahn Mi, and their Caprese was made with very good quality, fresh mozzarella and dressed with the best balsamic reduction I've ever tasted. I try wings everywhere that serves them. Mullet's does a great job with the wings, which came as no surprise. We didn't order the Smash Burger, but definitely will next time. We were covering the one somebody next to us was enjoying, but we were too full to even share one. The bartender and part owner, Colin Mullett, was warm, friendly, and a master mixologist. We will go to this place OFTEN, including on my birthday in a few weeks. DEFINITELY GO!!! read more

Currently Yelp has this in wrong city and zip code, surprised I was able to find it. Did notify Yelp but who knows if they figure it out. Stopped in for dinner and a drink. Nice small space with a few high tops, a few regular tables and a couch and seating area, and a bar. It was very noisy...so be sure to talk load and wear your hearing aid.lol. Bartenders seem to handle the table service for orders and a young lady brought out the food and cleared tables but did her best to not communicate. Service was almost nonexistent. Had to find someone to get salt and pepper and one was empty but the server noticed and replaced it. We started with the crispy Brussel sprouts which had some Asiago cheese a balsamic reduction. They were OK but the cheese made it a tad to sweet for me. We split the Bahn Mi handheld and it was very good with a very tasty pork belly. The wine list is limited in quality, could use one or two better quality wines. There are 3 TV's and two were on MMA, holy heck who wants to watch that crap while dining! read more

The food, cocktails, service and ambiance are top notch. It's a neighborhood bar with flare!

Had a great dinner at Mullett's tonight! Had apps and burgers and everything was absolutely on point. The best word I'd use to describe the food is flavorful. Service was outstanding too. Price was about what you'd expect in 2024 now but a good value I thought. I'm mostly disappointed anymore when we go out to eat-bad food, bad service, high prices or a combination of all of that. Everything about Mullett's was great-food, service and overall vibe. They need more space because it's small and increasingly popular.
