Kris is a fantastic server. She really works hard to take care of the whole bar and tables. She always has a smile The food and cider are delicious. I loved the Italian Sandwich. The chips are great too. Great entertainment- Fig Acoustic! We really enjoyed our evening.

With a nice big patio and family friendly atmosphere this was a great place for an afternoon gathering. There were plenty of drinks to choose from aside from cider, though plenty of cider too! Food options were a bit limited outside of sandwiches, but the soft pretzels were fantastic. I will absolutely come back next time I'm craving a pretzel and a beer. Staff was friendly and service was quick.

I love Arsenal cider and had been meaning to go to the Dormont location for ages. I'm glad we finally got there. The food was okay, but the ciders were wonderful. I've liked every Arsenal cider I've tried and it was great to be able to get a flight ciders I hadn't tried yet! The service was friendly and I loved all the signs for their ciders. The bar vibe was cool, too. I'm sure we'll return. I'm a big fan of Their ciders and they had beer for the non cider fans, too.

I really liked this place! I'm not the biggest cider fan but they still had a nice selection of seltzers, and my friends really liked the ciders. The inside is so cute and they had a live band playing, very fun atmosphere and the servers were so nice and friendly!

I'm extremely delighted that Arsenal has a location in the South Hills now! This beloved Pittsburgh business has been operating for more than 10 years now (woohoo!). Their "home base" is in Lawrenceville while another shop has been operating at Soergels in Wexford. As you might imagine, it hasn't always been easy for me to get to Arsenal's amazing ciders given the distance to Wexford and the commute to + parking in Lawrenceville. Now, however, those pesky obstacles are gone and I am a happy lady! Arsenal's cider is great, and the business as a whole is pretty fascinating. In addition to being a beloved local business, they've leaned into some connections to our local history (definitely look into the Allegheny Arsenal if you don't know the tale - it will also explain the Civil War theme in Arsenal's art and decor). I of course have preferences about which ciders are the tastiest, but with so many good ones on tap, you'll be better off sampling them and deciding which ones are your favorites. If you've never sampled anything from Arsenal, then you're in for an adventure as they have a little of everything on tap! Sweet ciders, dry ciders, seasonal ciders...their variety is astounding. Most of the ciders are apple based and feature apple as the strongest flavor, although you might also spot grape, raspberry, blueberry, and/or lemon brews on the menu if you time your visit right. (Pro-tip: some of the flavors mix together really well and can make for your own special cider blend!) Come hungry, too, because the food here is great! Arsenal's menu isn't the largest but it packs a flavorful punch. Appetizers include pita and chips and pretzels (both of which I have ordered and which have earned my thumbs up); while I haven't sampled their sandwiches quite yet, I do have a friend who thinks the grilled cheese is one of the best in the city. How's that for a glowing review? Between the phenomenal drinks and the fantastic food, I couldn't ask for anything better from a new Arsenal location. I can't wait to stop by again for another round and hope you all are doing your part to welcome these fabulous neighbors!

The Arsenal space in Dormont is huge compared to their Lawrenceville operations! Street parking so be sure to bring quarters or use the parking app. There is a large bar, high tops, and a large seating space up stairs to the back of the building. I love sitting at the bar to get recommendations from the bartender. In addition to a variety of ciders, they have beer and other options to please everyone in your group. I gravitate to the seasonal ciders and have never been disappointed. The rhubarb was excellent.

Came for music trivia, left abundantly satisfied. Felt like a midweek adventure so the "local trivia" google blast went out and sure enough arsenal has music trivia on Wednesday! We aren't any good at normal trivia so figured we'd try our hand at music. Pretty nice aized crowd for music trivia. Me and me lady both got the dry ciders I believe she got the ellbeck which she throughly enjoyed and I got the house choice I think the Pickett - love dry ciders so this was right up my alley (note my favorite cider is Magners so I mentally compare my drafts to that pallet). For $5.00 you can get two soft pretzels, which with all things considered that is a screaming good deal. They were very good great crunch to softness ratio - my only complaint would be the salt but you can knock that off! Cheese sauce was top notch, cheese sauce can honestly make or break but this cheese sauce helped continue to make this dish worth it. We got two sandwiches and split both - the grilled cheese and the spicy chicken. There was a clear winner in the best sandy between the two - Buffalo chickwn by a landslide both were good but the way the Buffalo chickwn came together was splendid. These were what you would expect from paninis cheesy smashed goodness. The grill cheese for me was saved by the onion jam without it I would have been looking at me lady asking for the other half of the Buffalo chicken but the onion jam was saving grace and really brought together the grilled cheese. The wait staff was amazing start to finish from the moment we called and asked about trivia to the moment we paid for the bill and left. Really enjoyed our time at Arsenal Cider house, will most likely return for more trivia in the future!

I was very excited when this location opened up nearby because I've been enjoying Arsenal Cider for years. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and open; definitely a place you feel comfortable spending time at catching up with friends. Our waitress came over immediately and gave us her recommendations on cider and explained we could try 3 samples as we decided. Their menu options include many ciders that they don't think sell in cans, so I was excited to try them. I tried the orange blossom, rhubarb, and ludacrisp ciders. They were all delicious and very sweet! I chose to get a full glass of the rhubarb cider and a soft pretzel. The pretzel was warm, perfectly seasoned with salt, and came with nacho cheese and mustard. Really enjoyed coming here and looking forward to going back to try more of their seasonal ciders!

This is a nice location right off the main road. Parking isn't too bad since there's a parking lot across the road and there is some street parking. The drink selection is long and they have a lot of different types of ciders and meads.

I've always wanted to try Arsenal Cider and recently visited the Dormont location for trivia. Their most popular cider is popular for a reason-- I loved it! There's such a variety of local beers, along with meads and wines. Friends and I also ordered food while we were there-- the chips and salsa were great and the roast beef sandwich on special was yummy too. My friends liked their sandwiches and soft pretzels. I tried some of the alcoholic sorbet and it was great, too. I'd definitely come back -- I just wish the food menu had as many options as the drink menu.

Rude and unprofessional staff. No wonder this place is dead on a Friday night when everywhere else is so busy.

They're located in Dormont, which makes this a walkable brewery for me (thanks to having friends and family in the area!). A friend and I did indeed walk over to catch up on a recent Friday. The place was surprisingly quiet - my friend mentioned that they get VERY busy during the summer, when people attend events across the road and want to buy beer to go with their market and/or food truck purchases. Speaking of food trucks, Hibachi Lou was parked out front on this particular Friday. So my friend and I got our hibachi orders at the truck out front; ordered our beer and/or cider from the bar; and took everything to a table in Back Alley's dining area to enjoy. While the place wasn't packed it wasn't empty, either; families and groups of friends were playing board games at every other table or so. So, what did I think about the drinks? I'm really glad Back Alley had Arsenal Cider on tap - I ordered a glass as my "sweet treat"/dessert after dinner. First though, I decided to try a beer. Back Alley, if you see this: I'm a BIG fan of sour beers and would order those if they're on the menu in the future! As of now though, no sour beers, so I ordered a "Snowed In" - Back Alley's spiced winter ale. It was a dark beer with a blend of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, hence the "spiced" moniker. While not something I normally seek out, I really enjoyed it and am glad I tried it! Altogether, it was a 10/10 experience - I'm so glad my friend and I came here for our Friday together. I'll be back!

They do not take reservations and we joked about there being a line. Well, when we showed up 10 minutes before opening, there was indeed a line. However, we went on Valentine's Day to one of the only GF places in the city, so that was to be expected. They were able to accommodate our party of seven no problem, and the staff were so friendly. Our server was amazing. One of our party members is hard to please, but our waiter was on top of it! We ordered a variety of apps for the table - wings, brussel sprouts, and fried provolone. All tasted fantastic. My husband and I agreed we would come just for the wings alone. Perfect smokey flavor. We got the hot buffalo garlic and they weren't super spicy. The marinara with the fried provolone was creamy and delicious. The Brussels were your standard side that every place has with the balsamic glaze. Not mushy at all and the garlic aioli was the best touch. We saw the food coming out and had to make room... the portions are huge! I could only finish half my burger and took the rest home. It was juicy, full of flavor, and easy to handle. Sometimes when you get a massive burger it ends up so sloppy and the toppings just slide off. Not with this! Perfectly stacked and ready to be devoured. The fries were a little greasy but still crispy. They earned my crisp seal of approval! The drinks were strong and everybody loved them. I got the blushing lady and it was sweet but not overly sweet and I could actually taste the spirits. Fantastic bar food options for people who are GF.
