I've attended quite a few private events here and they have been out of this world! The owners, Lisa & Aubrey go above and beyond for their clientele. Whatever themed event or party you're having here, they've got ya covered with the finest cocktails and mocktails around. The establishment itself is a building that's been around for decades and the hip and quirky vibe is amplified with creative and kitschy art and decor. Everything is super clean, immaculate, even! Absolutely the highest quality and professionalism in the service industry. I wouldn't hesitate at all to host an event at Lo Places Social Club! The venue does have bar hours and they vary. It's my understanding that may change in the future but for now they're one of the best places in the surrounding Pittsburgh area to host a celebration.

Abjuration is awesome! Honestly we are probably there at least once every few weeks. They generally do a new release or two each week so there is always something new to try. They announce each release on Facebook. They offer online ordering and then allow two weeks to pickup. They make the whole process easy. Oh and even better you can order single cans so if you are unsure if you will like something or just want some variety you are set. The staff here is phenomenal. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. They are knowledgeable and happy to help you find a beer you will truly enjoy. I have witnessed them go above and beyond to make sure a customer was happy with her experience. They recognize the regulars and always offer a greeting. It is one of the things that makes this place special. They have a beer garden set up now with picnic tables and a fire pit. It's nice because it offers up extra space. I have heard people ask what Abjuration is known for. It seems to be for their "weird" beers. Honestly they have some of the widest variety of beers anywhere around and yes that includes some weird ones. They are the brewery responsible for getting us hooked on sours. They make sours with herbs that drink more like a cocktail. They have sours made with ice cream or candy (or multiple candies in one) or straight fruited sours. They truly run the gamut. They always have some basic easy drinkers on like a lager, a brown, a Kolsch, etc. I have heard their IPAs are good (though I'm not an IPA drinker). They don't do stouts often but have put out some good ones. They also have done a few different rice wines that are unique and delicious. Abjuration just keep doing what you are doing and killing it. We stopped before going to an event at the Roxian Theater. The place is big. they have a decent size bar. There's a darts game and some other games, outdoor covered patio, they also have a banquet room besides their main dining room. Our waitress was really sweet but service was slow. The menu is huge. Lots of options for all ages crowd, families and there were some vegetarian options as well. We ordered food to share. the calamari appetizer which tasted OK, but some of the pieces weren't cooked thoroughly so they were really rubbery. We also ordered the blackberry salmon which again was tasty, but the salmon was overcooked. And both of our side salads were drenched with dressing and must've sat in the back for at least 20 min. to the point the lettuce was soggy. I don't know if this was just an for the kitchen staff but food wise was not the best especially for a $45 bill!
