My girlfriend and I came here for the girl dinner experience event and really enjoyed it. The upstairs is small but beautiful. It was too cold to go outside, but I would like to come back to check it out. The drinks were made very well. The food was served buffet style, but I loved everything - buffalo chicken wrap, Caesar salad and truffle fries. I'll definitely be back - the first floor seems like a nice, lowkey place to hang out.

I came here on a Tuesday for their $1 oysters and $4 proseccos. I sat at the bar and the bartender, Ciara, was so friendly and welcoming. The oysters were so good that I started with 6 and then ordered 12 more. They seemed pretty busy, but every order came out super fast still. Definitely a good weekly special and a very cute cozy bar to enjoy it in.

I got the chicken Caesar wrap and sweet potato fries. I recommend getting the cinnamon to dip the fries in. The wrap was good. There was a good amount of chicken which I like. I went for an event so I didn't dine downstairs. The upstairs needs some tables and seating

It was our first time here. Their restaurant week menu was so unique to everyone else, we had to try it out. It was very crowded when we walked in at both the bar and the tables. First thing we noticed was the creative menus that fit the library theme. Viewing the menu, we already knew we would come back with the variety of items on the menu and the prices are very reasonable. Our food was delicious and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We are not fans of going to South Sude anymore, but we definitely want to come back to the Library.

I've gone here a couple of times on Monday for their wing special night. The wings are always good, they have a nice variety of flavors, and there is never a wait. The service is always stellar too. In addition to food, they have a good selection of drink and food options. There's also big TV's above the bar, making it a perfect place to check out a game. I never have trouble finding parking when I go.

I was in Pittsburgh from LA for the Kings Pens game. It was a matinee game. After watching the Kings win, we came here for a nightcap. The choice was this place or the bar next door that allows smoking. I am not against other people smoking, but the last time I was in a bar like that, I didn't realize how woozy I felt until I left. That meant we chose the Library. We sat at the bar, had two drinks and called it a night. I ordered Redemption High rye bourbon. It was fabulous. I even found it at Total Wine when I got back to LA. I am glad I chose the Library.

First, the decor is everything. Wall sconces, shelves of books, and a cozy vibe. Unfortunately, the service did not live up to the decor. I went with a group of 5. When we arrived, there was a sign to seat yourself. The only table available was still dirty and hadn't been cleared. We did sit down, but had to ask someone to clean the table for us. It seemed like they were short staffed. However, the drinks and food were great! The menu theming is excellent--the food menu is organized like a table of contents and all of the cocktails had bookish names. The sweet potato fries and sweet potato gnocchi were delicious. Overall, I would come back, but maybe on a weeknight instead of the weekend.

The Library hosted my group for dinner. There was a nice variety on the menu that wasn't too expensive. Everyone enjoyed their meals (burgers, bang bang shrimp, salmon and Brussels sprouts), and the cocktails were good. Our server was nice, and she split the bill for us. The only problem was the noise level--it was hard to have a conversation over the music.

Met some friends for brunch here on a Sunday. Place was packed to the gills but we lucked out and got a table right by the door. Service was reasonable but not particularly fast. Prices were pretty affordable. I ordered the brunch smash burger and it was delicious. Would absolutely come back again.

We came for Sunday brunch, and this place was packed! It was quite lively with a room full of 20 year olds. It made this place feel like it was the place to be. On the other hand, it was so loud that it was hard to have a conversation. The restaurant looked understaffed. It took probably 15min before we could place our orders, and another 20min before the food came. I love the interior design of the place and the whole library theme carried out on the menus. My breakfast bowl had a layer of perfectly cooked scrambled eggs on the bottom, topped with sausage, bacon, potatoes and cheese. It was so yummy, I would come back just for this dish. Service was friendly and helpful. It just took a little long to get our food.

Happy Hour, Burgers, and Trivia all on a Wednesday Night? What more could you ask for?! We arrived to The Library just in time to snag seats at the bar. The service was prompt and friendly. The house rose was really good and only $5 during HH. The burgers were half off and we ordered the Smash and BBQ. Both hit the mark for flavors and quality. The chips served were really fresh. The sweet potato fry upgrade was worth it too. The trivia was an added bonus. The Great Gatsby cocktail had a tasty hibsicus flavor and I would order it again. The Library has a variety of great specials throughout the week. I plan to explore more of them!

First time having brunch at The Library on Carson. We love their cocktails, so we wanted to try some food. We couldn't order off of the full lunch menu during brunch, but they had lots of great options. The avocado toast could use some more flavor, but the bread was light and fluffy. The wings were especially flavorful. Portions were great. Next time, we definitely want to try their lunch and their bottomless mimosa special!

My friend and I had a great time here during happy hour on a recent Wednesday which also happens to be 1/2 priced burger day! We sat at a high top on the bar side and the bartender was quick to wait on us and take our food and drink orders. Cocktails are $2 off during HH and I went with the "A court of Thorns and Roses" drink and my friend ordered the "Annabel Lee". We bought thought they were beautifully presented and tasted just as good. My friend had a side salad and I ordered the creamy tomato soup as an appetizer. The soup was a little peppery and definitely creamy. Perfect to warm you up on a cool fall day! We both ordered the classic smashburger with fries for +1. The burger came out much larger than I expected and was juicy and flavorful, but not really that messy! The fries were fresh and just needed a little bit of salt. The head chef came out to check on us, which we appreciated. The restaurant is currently decorated for halloween in both the bar section and the dining area. I loved all the thoughtful touches. This is a fantastic option for HH and I'll definitely be back.

The bar serves cocktails, wines, beers, and mocktails. For dinner and late-night bites, the restaurant focuses mostly on small plates and shareables, including charcuterie, chicken wings, pizzetta, steak, and salmon. They also have a Sunday brunch that serves lox bagel, shrimp and grits, French toast, mimosa, bloody Mary, etcetera. My husband and I ate one lunch here. The best aspect of The Finch was its beautiful views of downtown Pittsburgh's skyscrapers, Monongahela River, and subway trains. The foods and drink were a mixture of quality, and my husband called them "garbage" (eek!). Here are my ratings for them. Berry Mint Spritz - 4 stars - This mocktail (I could have ordered it with alcohol to turn it into a cocktail) contained strawberries, mint, lemon, syrup, and soda water. All of the flavor had settled on the bottom of the glass, so I could have used a straw to mix the drink, but I did enjoy the flavors. Summer Crab Cakes - 2 stars - I received two crab cakes, and they were some of the worst crab cakes that I have ever received anywhere. They contained too much breading and too little meat. I did not even like the flavor of the cherry tomatoes on the side. I usually love crab cakes, but with these ones, I could take only a couple of bites, and then I had the waitress throw away the rest. Hawaiian Pizzetta - 4 stars - This small pizza consisted of four slices that had cheese but no gooey cheese-pull. Other toppings were BBQ sauce drizzle, pineapple, ham, and red pepper. I thought that it tasted good. Ember Steak Skewers - 4 stars - My husband said that the steak was not the highest quality. At least the chunks of steak, peppers, onions, and mushroom (we counted one piece of mushroom!) were marinated and seasoned nicely. The total cost for this one mocktail, three foods, and one soda was $79 *plus* a 3% credit-card surcharge, tax, and a minimum tip of 18%. We asked the waitress for a receipt, but she did not bring us one, so we walked up to her to ask for it again, and we did receive it.
