They now have outdoor patio seating and live bands outside too during warm months (bands still play inside too). The food is decent. I ordered a cup of chili topped with onions and cheese. Good call. Amazing chili. Bad call was not ordering a bowl. It was that good. Also got an order of wings. These are whole wings so when you order 4 you actually get 8. Delicious. Top that off with a few cold IC Lights and you have a great day. The inside has a "U" shaped bar and plenty of table seating in the side room. If you have not been here it is a MUST try. Keep up the solid work Park Valley Lounge.

Growing up in the area, Park Valley Lounge was a place that I always drove by, but never stopped. I…read morelive closer to here now, and I have been coming more frequently over the past two years. It is a great local bar that has a solid flow of regulars located in South Park. There is ample amount of parking, as the old beer distributor building that was next door was recently demolished, and thus provides a lot more parking spaces for this business. I have never once had to wait for a table to dine here upon arrival. It does get busy at times, but even then I am always able to find a space either at a table or at the bar. They have various food and drink specials each day, but we almost always come on a Monday for the Wing Night. Wings are $1.30 each, and you can order them in whatever type of quantity you wish. They are not the largest wings I have had at a Wing Night, but they are not breaded and made-to-order. So, they take a little longer than other food items. However, they always come out hot and fresh. Some of our go-to sauces include the Sweet Teriyaki, the Garlic Parmesan, Honey BBQ, and Buffalo. Typically, we always get an appetizer as well. Have tried several of them over time, but we have been getting the Trio Platter lately. This visit, we went with the Zucchini Planks, Provolone Sticks, and Mini Tacos. It comes with three sauces, so we got Ranch, Santa Fe Ranch, and Marinara. The Zucchini Planks are smaller compared to most restaurants, but not bad. I like that the platter not only comes with the choice of the appetizers, but also the sauces. Another favorite of mine is the Grilled Cheese. This particular time, the cheese was not very melted and I was not asked if I wanted tomato or any additional toppings when I ordered. I usually am asked, and I usually enjoy this item. This might have been a one-off, but this particular time it was sub-par. The prices here are fair, for the most part. Depending on what you get, the value may not be there. Additionally, they charge extra for Ranch if ordering it with the wings. When we first started coming here, there was a bartender who always worked Mondays, and we loved her. She was friendly, always remembered us when we came in, and really took care of everyone. I do not believe she is with the bar anymore, and the staff seems to rotate on Mondays now. We have not had the same level of service with any of the new Monday staff. Not that it is necessarily terrible, but makes us miss the bartender who took such good care of us from prior visits. I would recommend stopping at Park Valley for a bite to eat or to hang out. The crowd is never too large, and everyone is friendly. Plus, it is a chance to support a locally owned and operated business.

Either way, I found myself walking into Scarpaci's more than a few times. Locals seem to love this place but you know what they don't love? The standup comedy "show" that takes place in the corner of the front room. The "crowd" couldn't even muster up a courtesy laugh for the comics. Seriously, it was one of the most comfortable experiences for me and most certainly the comics too. I mean, some people couldn't even turn in their barstools to watch... maybe that was the comedy? I don't k now. Drinks weren't too cheap but aren't going to break the bank either. I was bummed that we missed the cheap wing night! People seem to like the wings and so do I. That will certainly be on the agenda for my return trip! See you sooner than later Scarpaci's.
