Not to mention, they offer semi-strong long islands for $4 all day, It's sort of a premixed concoction that's just okay in my opinion. Nothing to rave about...but enough to lure you in for price and continue to get you in for more libation. lol Lefty's is a nice and fun hangout spot for friends for sure.and a great way to get into the mix of Pittsburgh natives (people from the surrounding area). The bar is a pretty narrow space and gets packed pretty quickly, but it is a great space to watch sports and chat with people. There is not a lot of seating space as the space is relatively small, but it is still comfortable while standing. Although crowded, the bartenders are quick and efficient with drink orders. If only they sold food, this spot would be perfect. However, there are several shops and restaurants along the strip to grab a bite to eat. In all, cool little dive bar in the heart of the Strip District of Pittsburgh. Also a great vibe and place to meet up with friends for a few drinks or a pit stop while site seeing the downtown area. Stop by, get in and fit into the vibe of this place. It's fun and good times.

If you go, go early, when the old heads are there.

Wow! I love Sloppy Joe's!…read more Today, my wife and I are in Pittsburgh for the first time in our lives. This evening we took the Monongahelia Incline up from Station Square to Mt. Washington. Mt. Washington is a hip neighborhood with a great view of the city. We stopped in Sloppy Joe's when we heard live music as we walked by. It is a small dive bar with friendly locals and reasonably priced beer. If I ever return to Pittsburgh I will seek this place out!

They have allowed visitors to hand wrIte all over the walls, ceilings, hell- any place you can find! The bathrooms are falling apart. The bartender was a bloodline fan. Shocked, I asked for a beer, but the bartender says, "wait a minute," and proceeded to walk around to get me the beer. The owner, buddy, scammed the PPE loans to keep this shitshow operating, and it shows why this place deserves to bevshut down.

At one point in the night he got angry and screamed at a guy who asked for a drink - for interrupting his attempt to hit on one of the other patrons, a woman who looked scared and was clearly not feeling the bartender's untoward expressions of lust. Actual event I went there for wasn't horrible, but was very crowded with limited table/seating real estate leaving attendees to stand around awkwardly. Main advantage is the cheap drinks, but this is very much a South Side bar with all the baggage that entails. Might like it better on another, future visit.

To be honest, judging by the look on his face I think he might want to go postal and torch the place. I could only tolerate this place for one drink. I'll give them kudos for the impressive drafts on tap, a diverse tequila selection, but I had to run out of there before they got the idea I could be "Womengirl" behind the bar.

The bartender was extremely sweet and made the best spicey Bloody Mary. Cash only. The best fresh fried zucchini and great gyros. Learned a lot about the area and memories of the tornado that hit in 1998. I will make it a point to go back when I hit Pittsburgh again. Also, has a great pool table. $1 game.
