The windows were closed because it was a chillier day, we sat on the bar counter next to a window. It was bar service, you had to get up and order from the bartender. We went up the first time and were ignored for a few minutes, so we went back to our seats thinking a server would come. Nobody came, we ended up returning up to the bar. The person next to us flagged the bartender down for us after almost 10 minutes standing there, even when they came over the bartender tried to ignore us again. Many bartenders standing around polishing glasses and not taking care of customers. I couldn't wait to finish my drink and leave, not welcoming at all. It is a shame, the view is great.

Great scenery...rooftop. Food was good! Especially dessert. Definitely a vibe where a group could work. I just wish there were more food choices

My friend and I met here for drinks and some apps. The space can be a little difficult to find but it's nothing crazy. I did knock a star off because there is only valet parking (that I was able to find). I made a reservation for the restaurant/cocktail bar. The views are stunning! For my cocktail, I ordered the "pickled govenor" which has seven governors gin, pickle brine, lemon,& garnished with a pickle slice. Not that it's a big "dill" (see what I did there?) , but my drink did not come garnished with a pickle slice. For our apps, we ordered the fire roasted chicken wings (with sizzle sauce), the chicken florentine meatballs and the stuffed mushrooms with chicken sausage. Everything was good. Our service was good too. I'd like to visit again when the weather is warmer!

Having heard about the Finch and driving past it a few times. We decided to check it out on nice sunny Friday afternoon. We checked out the distillery on the first floor, the selection is large and I'd like to spend more time there. We then headed for the 6th floor roof deck. It was pretty awesome and crowded. The inside bar area was also busy but we grabbed a some seats and had a drink. After a few minutes we decide to go the 4th floor cigar club. My wife said it was the nicest cigar place she's ever seen and we've been to quite a few. Check out our pictures and you'll see what I mean. It's a first class place from top yo bottom. I think you'll like it.

The Finch, on the top floor of The Distillery Complex, a rooftop lounge is an absolutely breathtaking. It's the perfect backdrop for their crafted cocktails and small plates. Cocktails are curated with Big Spring Spirits a local distillery- grab a bottle from their bottle shop on your way out on the first floor! Plus, the ambiance is top-tier--modern and sophisticated with a touch of historic charm. A great spot for lite bites, great drinks & stunning views!

The building can be a little tricky to locate, but it's worth finding. I tried three different cocktails & all were pretty good. Wanted something small & went with the sliders. They weren't my favorite and lacked a little flavor. All was well with the view at night though! Also a plus was that they had chargers at the bar because my phone was on low battery after a long day with a Steelers game and bar hopping. Staff was friendly! Not sure about parking because I walked there. Good for a GNO or date night.

The venue is absolutely beautiful--clean, inviting, and well-maintained. The staff was amazing and very welcoming. While we didn't try the food, the drinks were tasty, though they could be a bit stronger at the price point they are. It would be great if they offered a happy hour. Also they need to offer a flight of their house liquors. The biggest downside is the parking situation. Valet is available for $8, but I prefer not to let anyone else drive my car. It would be helpful if the website mentioned that you can park in the Station Square lot and walk over--that's the closest self-parking option. Despite that, the stunning views and overall atmosphere make it well worth the visit. The other patrons where also very friendly. It's truly a wonderful space.

I had previously been to the Finch for drinks however I had never eaten there so prior to the weekend snowstorm I got a group of friends together and we went for dinner. It was myself, 3 friends, and a my one friend's teenage daughter. The dress was business casual although you could go casual too, but not like sweatpants casual. The atmosphere was City vibe but hidden, and it was the perfect mix of mood lighting and vibe music, which made it perfect for date night or grabbing drinks or dinner with friends. Our server was attentive and offered suggestions when asked about the menu and prompt in providing food and beverage service. The food was delicious. while I probably wouldn't order what I got again there was nothing wrong with it, it was just not what I wanted in the moment that said there were so many other things on the menu that I would want to try before I cycle back to ordering the same thing again. I also loved that they had a large larger drink selection, which included no less than 10 mock tails so you could enjoy the evening without having to drink if that's your choice and I really think that a lot of places don't prioritize that yet so I give them props to making a larger mocktail selection. Overall, I rate this in 5 and I definitely think it's a vibe for date night; although I would never turn down drinks or dinner with friends there!

I was excited to visit the distillery at south shore and visit the Finch for dinner and drinks. The view of the city was amazing. The server was helpful and was training someone new. I enjoyed the lavender lemonade, the finch platter, and crab cakes. I would love to visit again,

Note: I attended a special ticketed event. My friend who invited me had been 2 previous times and enjoyed it both visits. The brick building exterior is gorgeously lit up at night. They offer valet at their main public entrance on the east side of the building. It's also accessible from the paved multi-use Three Rivers Heritage Trail from the direction of Station Square. Of course my personal safety is important to me so it was unsettling to me all party goers were wanded by the security guard for hidden weapons upon entry. I very much appreciated a coat room being set up for the event (staged in my favorite room with exposed brick). I also appreciated the comfortable room temperature throughout the building. The holiday decorations were classy and prime for photo backdrops. There are two elevators so waits were reasonable. Also, the number of people in the smaller than expected space was comfortable! Thankfully, we were not all packed in and there was one side of the bar without chairs where people could stand in line to order drinks. The bartenders were constantly working hard but there were way more of us than them. All the staff I encountered were lovely. We had eaten dinner elsewhere before coming so I did not try the food menu. Had I been hungry for a late night bite, the gigantic hot pretzel looked tempting to share with a group. It was the end of December and snowing outside so we only briefly went out onto the uncovered rooftop patio for photos of the city skyline. I prefer the green space over at nearby The Highline but in cold weather, The Finch provides the best indoor option.

I absolutely loved The Finch! The view is amazing, the bartenders are skilled, and the drinks/food are delicious! I tried the Lavender Lemonade cocktail, which was good, but overall, a classic Cosmo was my favorite drink of the evening. We had the brisket sliders, but I caught a glimpse of the pretzel with the meat and cheese addition, and it looked amazing! I can't wait to visit again!

Fantastic drinks and fantastic views!! The service was good amd the parking is a little tricky.

If you're a rooftop lover like myself, you need to try The Finch. A new spot with such creative cocktails and insane views of the city skyline. Honestly up there for me with Over Eden--the views are really worth the visit. We got the Pickle Governor and Castaway, both really good cocktails but you need to be a serious pickle lover to enjoy the Governor! Busy Saturday night spot but plenty of room outdoors for everyone to enjoy the view. Absolutely worth the visit!

When we walked in, the host greeted us right away, asked for our name, and seated us pretty quickly. There were actually a good amount of open seats, so I am not sure reservations were completely necessary, but it was still nice to have one. I honestly expected the inside to feel more extravagant and space themed, almost like an outer space vibe with more visual elements and atmosphere. I was hoping for something more immersive and futuristic. It was still cool overall, just not quite as visually dramatic as I imagined. We ordered an espresso martini and the Kiwi Nova. I really enjoyed my drink, especially after talking with the host who explained that they use scientific processes for their cocktails along with fresh purées and fresh ingredients. That is something I really appreciate because I am not a fan of drinks made with a lot of simple syrup or fake additives. He loved his espresso martini and said it was one of the best he has had. My drink was definitely on the sweeter side and I feel like too much of it might lead to a hangover, but it was still really good. Our server was attentive at first, but later on we ended up waiting a while to order another round. After sitting for a bit, we decided to order through the hostess instead and she got us taken care of right away. Overall, it was a cool experience mainly for the drinks. The cocktails were definitely the highlight. Service was okay, and I am not sure if we will return, but I am glad we finally got to check it out.

I've heard so many mixed things that I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed every aspect of my experience. It kind of has dive bar vibes but the food and drink options are definitely on the elevated side. They open at 4 on Sundays and I got there around 4:15. It was already pretty busy (and by the time I was leaving, every single table and bar stool were occupied). They have standard booth seats along the windows, hightop tables in the middle and bar seating along the bar that curves along the back of the restaurant. I chose to sit at the bar since I was by myself. I was promptly greeted by the bartender. They don't hand you copies of the menu, you have to scan the QR code to access. It is easy to read and follow with sections for drinks, specials (this time they were Wicked themed as a nod to the show at the Benedum) and a sushi section. I ordered the street corn dip. The chips were a bit overcooked and the dip was just OK. I thought it was pricey for what you got. The star of my meal, though, was the patty melt. It had the burger, a bacon jam, caramelized onions and was absolutely delicious! It was served with fries. I considered ordering sushi but wasn't sure what to expect. The patrons sitting on either side of my ordered rolls and they were a nice size and looked delicious, so that is something I would consider ordering in the future. It was a place I'll likely be back to because of the proximity to the theater (although their prices definitely reflect that). Just note how crowded it always is and give yourself plenty of time if you plan on heading here for dinner before the show.

Cocktail menu is deceiving as they didn't have all of the ones listed but they added a few extra that our server was kind enough to bring to our attention. I ordered a daiquiri that was not listed and it was so good. More like thick juice than a cocktail. Didn't even taste like it had alcohol in it. GF ordered a jalapeño marg that was also more sweet than spicy but had the cutest little garnishes. There were many appetizers that were tempting but you really can't ever go wrong with a burrata, especially fried burrata. Theirs was served on a bed of tomato sauce and something green, likely basil related. So fucking delicious. Only thing that would have been better was if there was some bread to put that shit on. Love that they had a specific vegetarian entree: roasted spaghetti squash with creamy spinach, chickpeas, and arugula. This was very good but it was basically cream soup in the bowl with spaghetti squash. I ordered the Asiago stuffed gnocchi with corn in what was billed as a elotes type vibe. Very good and creative. They also have champ bongs which is incredible. How is this not more popular??
