My friend and I went there on a Friday night. It wasn't too crowded when we arrived around 6pm, but it was definitely busier by 8pm. I would recommend getting a reservation for the weekend. The restaurant is located at the bottom of the Maverick and the decor is absolute gorgeous. By the end, I was convinced that their wallpaper would look great in my living room. Our waiter was very lovely and attentive. There was one small issues with our appetizers which resulted in them being delayed. He took full responsibility and made it right. I really liked my pear centric cocktail, it had a very appealing purple shade. My salmon was very good with nice bright flavors. It was a little spicier than expected but not too hot either. The coconut rice was good to help with that. The Korean fried tofu was perfectly crunchy and slightly spicy (this time it was expected). Good flavors to it. The babaganoush was excellent with all the extra little toppings on top. The seeded crackers were excellent and I wished I had ask if they made them there. My friend had the crispy eggplant and bread service (no gluten for me sadly). She said everything was good as well. We shared the Japanese cheesecake. It was absolutely delightful. Everything came out exactly how it should-crispy potatoes that didn't last long, and a steak cooked perfectly, no overthinking it. I stayed on my no drinking and tried a mocktail espresso martini with the girls and it still felt like the full experience, but I already know I'm coming back for the cocktails. Tip: always check their socials first to make sure it's open during regular posted hours. Their Golden Hour from 4 pm- 6 pm on a bright summer evening was a magical experience. Light pouring in through colorful stain glass windows, comfy bar stool chairs, plenty of staff and in a not-yet-crowded spacious room layout. There is a 15% discount on food in addition to their drink menu discounts. I had a hard time deciding which small plates to try which means I need to return again soon before the menu changes. It is not inexpensive and thankfully the ingredients and flavors were high caliber. Service was friendly and top notch. Whitfield Street parking is regularly enforced so I recommend not risking illegal parking if you can't find a spot and use the metered parking lot behind the hotel (S. Beatty St). read more

I really enjoyed our meal here . We had some service kinks but the manager made it 100 right which is why I'm keeping a 5 star rating. The restaurant is elegant, modern , and has a young lively vibe. Music is fairly loud so wouldn't recommend for elderly. The tuna tartar was OUTSTANDING. We enjoyed the eggplant and potato's as well . Upon entering, it's bustling but a table had cleared. They got it ready for us and we were seated. The venue used to be an old gym so the layout is open and the sound bounces off making the space loud. The drink menu included a small selection of drafts, with an equal number of bottles/cans. I think the use of space was also fantastic. It's in an old gym, the lighting is not too bright but definitely not dim. There's plenty of bar seating and the table seating is very comfortable. My waiter was very attentive of our needs. The baba ghanoush is pretty good, doesn't come with enough pita though. Also got the pork belly bites, they were a bit too burnt for me which made them lose their flavor. It was pretty busy but they were on top of greeting and making a game plan to accommodate what we wanted for the evening.
