Most seating and is interior and without view. You can peer over the sides or stand outside, no reservations, and packed. Drinks are average. Not high end cocktails, rather, locally distilled brew with too much mixer. Food is bar food. Meh at best. Service appears to want to be anywhere else but here. Inattentive and slow. It's screaming loud, the crowd appears to have migrated from Donzis (iykyk). If you have been to other urban roof top bars and are hoping this is Pittsburgh's equivalent, sadly, it misses the mark.

I already knew who Soda Blonde were because I knew them from when they were known as "Little Green Cars" I never got to see Little Green Cars, but I was very excited to see Soda Blonde, and Club Cafe made this possible too. Would I go back? Yes, I certainly would because there was one more thing that I must mention about Club Cafe. After the concert ended, and my friends and I met with Soda Blonde, I got a hug from their Singer, a firm handshake from the Guitarist, and after buying two shirts from them, we left. I had gotten about give or take 7 or 8 miles away from the place heading home and I received a phone call, I answered, and it was one of the Owners of Club Cafe calling me to inform me that I had dropped my Credit Card and they agreed to give me enough time to drive all the way back to their club to pick up my credit card. They could have done anything with that card and closed up and went home, but they were honest and much respect to the Owners of Club Cafe! I will most certainly come back again soon!

Walking in here, I was immediately surprised by how small and intimate this venue is. There are a few places to sit here, but it is mostly standing room only. No matter where you are, you are likely no more than 15 feet from the stage. Just a heads up -- there is a slight step when you enter into the venue, so step up and/or over it. I tripped on the slight angled step of the door and slightly stumbled into the venue. There are a lot of local acts that perform here -- many that I am not aware of, and so that may have been what kept me from coming here in the past. I happened to come here for a national act, Ondara, of whom I was actually surprised to see performing in such a small venue. I would definitely come back here again for the right performer/band. Speaking of food trucks, Hibachi Lou was parked out front on this particular Friday. So my friend and I got our hibachi orders at the truck out front; ordered our beer and/or cider from the bar; and took everything to a table in Back Alley's dining area to enjoy. While the place wasn't packed it wasn't empty, either; families and groups of friends were playing board games at every other table or so. So, what did I think about the drinks? I'm really glad Back Alley had Arsenal Cider on tap - I ordered a glass as my "sweet treat"/dessert after dinner. First though, I decided to try a beer. Back Alley, if you see this: I'm a BIG fan of sour beers and would order those if they're on the menu in the future! As of now though, no sour beers, so I ordered a "Snowed In" - Back Alley's spiced winter ale. It was a dark beer with a blend of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, hence the "spiced" moniker. While not something I normally seek out, I really enjoyed it and am glad I tried it! Altogether, it was a 10/10 experience - I'm so glad my friend and I came here for our Friday together.
