Bonus points for being in Mount Washington, which allowed us to ride the Monongahela Incline up and the Duquesne Incline down. Yes it was a bit of a walk but Bigham Tavern was worth it! It was a Monday night, so there was also live music. Crowd was reasonable and we were seated at a comfortable table with a good view of the television. Our waitress was awesome, so patient! Her patience was tested because we don't drink much and wanted to order the food gradually throughout the game. We benefited from happy hour pricing for a tasty pickle dip and glasses of wine. We added some outstanding wings, so many great flavors to choose from! Next phase was an outstanding gluten free pesto and mozzarella pizza! Crust was too good to be true! The game was rough at first but turned around in time for me to order the Big Ham sandwich with a side of kale salad. The sandwich was delicious and served on a pretzel bun. The kale salad was an awesome side dish, tons of flavor! The game kept improving and we enjoyed the rest of it in the bar area with some great fans. Lots of televisions. Great neighborhood vibe! Will gladly return when we're back in town!

However, the current owners named it after its original name (Bigham Tavern) paying homage to its historical value on the Mount. The food is always good (if you like wings, they're known for them) and the brews are always cold. It's a true representation of a Pittsburgh neighborhood with its food, decor, and people. They host events like trivia nights and other things. TV screens for the big games. They do a great weekend brunch.

Highly recommend! The server told me it's their least ordered cocktail, which I was shocked to hear! Get it people! You'll love it! For dinner I got the southwest bowl (I think that's what it is called) and it was amazing! Rice, black beans, cabbage, carrots, avocado, and a super spicy aioli! Highly recommend! It was filling and had such great textures and tasted amazing! The sauce is super spicy so I would probably get less of it next time. My fiancé got Buffalo pierogies that he said were awesome and boneless wings that he said tasted good but were a touch overdone. When we first walked in, there weren't many people there but that changed in a split second and it was super busy! You can make reservations but we didn't! It's an awesome spot to watch sporting events.

Swing and a miss for me. Reservation for Easter 11:30…read more Greeted by the bartender with Indifference and seated in the back table for four. Rap music playing at a fairly high level. Our server was super nice and took our drink orders despite us not receiving any drink menus. I was craving a Bloody Mary so that is what I ordered. Looks like they offer flights of them too after seeing a post on their tv screen but he didn't ask me if I wanted to try or what sort of bloody so I guess I got their standard. It was delicious (charged extra for Tito's without me requesting). Ordered a special of the day (California Benedict) and it did not have avocado as advertised. I didn't realize right away so kept eating. The poached eggs were fully cooked so dry and very thin/bland hollandaise sauce. No side of potatoes or anything. Roasted red peppers were just standard diced red peppers from what I could tell. Tasteless. Dud of a breakfast. My daughter really liked the strawberry French toast and my wife said her frittata was ok. My meal was $16 and that bloody was $10 plus upcharge so that's why the low score. My wife would give it a 3. I don't plan to make a return unless it was for their pizza or wing special. Bummer
