Bighams is probably my favorite place to go for a meal in the Pittsburgh area. It is the best bar food you will ever have. Awesome atmosphere, especially in the summer when the outdoor areas are open. They also have some of the friendliest workers you'll ever come across. I've never had a bad meal here, but some of my favorites are the wings (bt original, hyena, dingo, hot garlic, and cluckin bbq are the best), rueben, pierogies, buffalo chicken dip, and all burgers. Getting their cheeseballs (hot cheese bites) is an absolute must. They go perfectly with their delicious homemade ranch. Great way to start the meal.

What can I say - this particular Arsenal Cider is crisp and tart - think chardonnay- pairs PERFECTLY with Buffalo chicken Mac- not pictured- hot wing sauced morsels of fried chicken in velvety cheddar with blue cheese over cavatappi. Add a side of broccoli for balance. Comfort food level bliss achieved fun 2 man band played this Monday evening - good vibes. My partner enjoyed his Nugget Nectar draft, and one-off daily special of meatloaf, which came with mashed potatoes and broccoli - just what winter ordered! For whatever reason, an old picture of hot chocolate is showing

We came to Bigham on a Saturday night and it was packed, but we were seated immediately outside on the covered patio. I ordered the French onion burger medium well and my son ordered the smokehouse Mac and cheese. Although the flavor of my burger was great, it was very dry and extremely well done. The pretzel bun was very soft and the onions were a nice addition. The smokehouse mac and cheese was rich and creamy and came in a fairly large portion. Lastly, we ordered the wings and I found myself wishing they were crispier. Based on other reviews, I may have just had a so so batch. ‍ The ranch was delicious though. The tavern is located in a neighborhood so on street parking is your option, but it wasn't hard to find, so that was a plus.

Bigham is a staple for upscale bar food. Their nachos are some of my favorites in Pittsburgh. The service is hit or miss, but I love going there for trivia, wing nights (they have so many sauces to choose from) and sitting at the bar.

On wednesdays they have 75 cent wings. Beer is also cheap 2.75 for a 16oz. So worth it. Ton of rly good wing flavors

Fish fry platter (comes with mac & cheese, coleslaw, and fries)

Went on a Friday during lent. We made a reservation prior and we were glad we did because it was a full house by 6pm. There's multiple options as far as fish/seafood goes for this time but I went with the Fish Fry Platter, which comes with coleslaw, fries, and mac & cheese. Size of the sandwich was good for and the amount of each side they give you made it worth it. Service was fast and friendly so no complaints there at all.

I've been to Bigham tavern a few times and I've never been wowed but the food and service is is usually good. Although last night the host was pretty unfriendly. Not the best first impression. One of the only "regular" dining options in mt Washington. Clean and bright dining area although the bathrooms are not great. The wings are very good and we enjoyed the Lou Q and Hot Honey sauces on ours. We also got the loaded fries and the fried cauliflower. Pretty underwhelming portion sizes for the prices. Overall an OK experience

Went out to dinner with a friend. We were seated promptly outside under the tent. The night was perfect for outside seating. Our waitress was great, so helpful and personable. I ordered the loaded fries. They were seasoned and loaded just perfectly. Loved the fresh jalapeño. I also got their 1/2 and 1/2; french onion soup and mac n cheese. As always the french onion soup was delicious. The mac n cheese was okay, it could've been hotter.

The kale crunch salad with salmon and the lemon vinaigrette is what dreams are made of!! The fried cauliflower was also reaallly good! My bf had the med bowl and he seemed to like it a lot. It looked delicious but my salad was too good to mess with my palate--I was locked in on that salad. 10/10 recommend.

.75 wings on Wednesday Very fast practically fast food, loud environment, service was very fast but getting the check took a while Honey badger wing sauce was good, bourbon was eh Hyena is mid Dollar for ranch Dollar to get all flats

A quaint spot from another era, just across the river from beautiful downtown Pittsburgh. The prices are amazing and the food is delicious! I got the biscuit Benny, and I will be getting it again! Our server was great, and the atmosphere made me feel as if I had stepped into a world from years ago, in the best of ways! Can't wait to check it out during the evening hours! A hidden gem for brunch, no doubt!

    Fish tacos!

Local here who enjoys a local haunt. Staff is super attentive and friendly. Solid bar food and beer is always cold. Taco Tuesday is a go to . . . fish tacos are always tasty, even have a nice kick. Unless you have a high tolerance for high decibels get there early. When crowded the poor acoustics can be overwhelming. It gets LOUD. So go early, enjoy a nice neighborhood bar and have a cold one.

We had a reservation and were seated quickly. The space is much bigger than I realized. We took a few minutes to review the menu and ask the server some questions. We put our order and it didn't take long for our order to arrive. I decided on the cornitis bowl which was very flavorful. The service was ok. We lost the original server and found someone else to close out our bill,

LOVED our dinner at this place…read more We came here for dinner while visiting Pittsburgh. The first thing that struck me was the interior decor. Very industrial and moody with an open kitchen/preparation area that adds some intrigue. I do like to see the happenings of what's going on as someone with zero attention span. Service was excellent. George was fantastic. He kept a close eye on us without being overbearing. He anticipated what we might need so we didn't spend one second waiting to order anything. The menu is not endless or overwhelming which, presumably, allows them to focus on the items that are listed. I have decision panic so it was kinda nice to have less things to choose from. They asked if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions so I mentioned my vegetarianism. George went through the menu and pointed out the vegetarian options including what seems like it is vegetarian but isn't. They had TWO vegetarian entree options and fortunately the non-mushroom one was something I probably would have ordered anyway: pesto with walnuts, arugula, and a very generous amount of grated cheese. To start, I ordered the Brussels sprouts whichc I was warned had fish sauce. This was fine but nothing that blew me away. GF, on the other hand, loved this. GF ordered the wedge which was brought to our attention as vegetarian with the bacon on the side, which was her request. We ended up sharing both, a large part of that was because hers came out first and I couldn't wait but I'm so glad because the wege was FANTASTIC. The dressing? holy fuck pure ecastasy. The wedge was more like a filet shape which was much easier to eat. Who decided on the wedge shape anyway? The lettuce was so fresh and crisp and went wonderfully with that orgasmic dressing and breadcrumbs. Back to my pasta. Also delectable. Noodles were al dente. The sauce was creamy and packed that pesto umami flavor. The walnuts were a really nice contrast in texture. Everything about it absolutely fucking slapped. GF ordered the mushroom entree which came served on a bed of barley which, don't mind if I do, had a few forkfuls to "sample" for "my review". Again, so fucking good. Because it was my birthday, George provided a dessert (yuzu maybe?) that was served inside a meringue-esque igloo, creamy perfect balance of sweet and tart custard with some berry business underneath. Wonderful. I almost forgot their spectacular cocktails! Holy shit, literally they have a CORN CHIP cocktail that I could not pass up. It comes with two massive cornchips on top of a flavored foam. When you bring the glass up to sip, the cornchips are right in front of your nose and their aroma sets the stage for the drink which was STRONG. It wasn't as corn chip forward as I expected but I understand that flavor is probaly hard to create. For my second drink, I ordered the blue one which was refreshing, light, and really good. GF ordered a spritz which was gorgeous "it was good". For second round, I picked out some uranium thing that was very cucumbery, GF says, "it was good". I just read it outloud to her. "it's true!" Fantastic meal at a great place.

The bar is a pretty narrow space and gets packed pretty quickly, but it is a great space to watch sports and chat with people. There is not a lot of seating space as the space is relatively small, but it is still comfortable while standing. Although crowded, the bartenders are quick and efficient with drink orders. If only they sold food, this spot would be perfect. However, there are several shops and restaurants along the strip to grab a bite to eat.
