We needed a spot to both watch football and have lunch and Stinky's made the cut! The building appears to previously have been a residence and was later transformed into a bar. They have 3 rooms, the front being the actual bar space and the back 2 being dedicated to dining. We found a table for 5 in the way back. Our waitress was quick, despite how crowded they were, and our food came out fast. They have a million TVs and are willing to put on other games, when requested. I thought the food was good for bar food and I'd definitely come back. The menu prices are more than fair and they offer a large variety. Parking is on the street, but with all of the side streets around, it's not difficult to find one close by! read more

I heard good things about this little bar and grill tucked away off of the main drag of Butler Street in Lawrenceville. I finally had occasion to stop on a Wednesday afternoon around 3 PM when I was in the area. I ordered a couple Christmas sales on draft which range in price from $7.59-$8 a pint. I ordered their mushroom Swiss burger which came with fries. The burger was large & fries looked hand cut. Burger was good, not best I've had but decent. I ordered the Natoli (Italian sub) to go & Reuben to go, both with chips. They make housemaid chips, and I was afraid if I ordered fries, they would be soggy by the time I got home. A few of the chips were soggy as well, but they did package a few chips separately to keep them crispy. The match of chips that were with the Reuben were extremely salty so much so that I could hardly eat them, but the other chips were crunchy and decent for housemaid chips. I seen some pictures of the Italian sub and while it actually was very good in flavor, I didn't feel like there was this much meat in it as I had seen in other pictures of the same sandwich that other people had ordered. I got a quart of their homemade wedding soup to go-it was great! Their menu is huge for a bar and they have lots of different burgers, lots of different sandwich, choices, plenty of appetizers and a few entrées. So in terms of bar food, the menu was actually outstanding. I would definitely return if I was in the area. read more

A few steps up from a typical dive bar, but with a similar vibe. Outdoor seating is excellent, especially on a not-so-typical sunny day in Pittsburgh. Service was attentive and friendly. Definitely try the burger - any of them - but you can't go wrong with the classic. The fries are super crispy and thick cut, which I tend to prefer. All-in-all, Stinky's is a great neighborhood spot to hang out with friends, grab and drink, and watch some sports. read more

Stinky's really is a hidden gem in Lawrenceville. Tucked away but worth finding, it's the perfect spot to catch any sports game. The atmosphere strikes a great balance between laid-back neighborhood bar and lively sports hangout with an option for anyone on the menu. What surprised me most is the food -- it's way better than your typical bar fare. Pair that with a solid drink selection, and you've got a place that's easy to come back to again and again. This place doesn't stink in the slightest. It actually fucking slaps First and foremost I never order potato skins or things of that nature. After discovering how Stinky does them, I'll never eat them if they're not like this. They boil the whole potato, smash it, fry it THEN load it up with the topping. Thats how it's done I got the Real Whopper burger and this thing didn't disappoint. It was massive, cooked Pittsburgh rare, egg runs and massive bun Waitress was nice to us and helpful with recommendations. The spot itself is your typical sports bar. Nothing special there read more

Maybe I'm bias, maybe I like the staff, or maybe it's because stinkys is just an overall good place for whatever you're looking for. If you're familiar with Lawrenceville, you know that it does not have a shortage when it comes to culinary selections. You can walk down 1 mile of butler and find a variety of foods to satisfy your cravings. Despite all those options, and living in Lawrenceville, I somehow always find myself returning to stinkys. From the staff all the way to the chicken wings--I can't rave about stinkys enough. It's also a sports bar and has an outdoor area. I have nothing but compliments. Even on days where it's more quiet I still enjoy coming over here and chatting with friends/ the bar staff. I 100% checking it out if you haven't been already. Being that I was in Pittsburgh and not Philly I was afraid that the Eagles game wouldn't be shown. The ladies at Stinky's hooked it up and tolerated my excitement. The food was great. Great neighborhood sports bar. Lots of TVs and they play the audio when it's pens or Steelers games. The outdoor seating is also a dog favorite (and they have a special dog menu available). Wing specials are where it's at! Wednesdays starting at 6pm and during Steelers game. The awesome sauce and stinkers are our favorites. Also a fan of the fried zucchini appetizer. Huge menu including some random entrees, pizza, burgers and hoagies. TBH we've always stuck with the wings and burgers so can't comment much about the rest. What a great place! I'm not from Pittsburgh so I was unfamiiar with Stinky's. In 2024 I was looking for a place to eat with a wide variety of item on the menu and found Stinky's on Yelp and decided to try it out. Was extreemly pleased with both the service and the quality of the food. When back this past week during another trip to Pittsburgh and it was just as good. All of the staff I dealt with were very friendly and attentive. On my way out of the restaurant someone (who I assume was the manager) asked us if everything with our visit was up to par. The people that work here seem to care about there jobs and I'm guessing it is becauase they are treated well and no they put out a good product. Will definetly return on my next visit to Pittsburgh. read more

Stinky's is good. The folks who work there are super nice and welcoming and the place feels like it's meant for locals and people around the neighborhood which I enjoyed. My garlic parmesan wings, however, were not great; they didn't have a ton of flavor, took a while to come out, and were a little over-cooked. Still, I ate them, but probably wouldn't order them again. 4 stars because the beer and drink selection are plentiful and again everyone who works there is so nice. Also, the seating outside is amazing. It's a cute spot with good people and a staple if you're looking for a laidback spot in what is otherwise bougie Lawrenceville. read more

Food: Had a variety of appetizers that included the wings, cheese fries, Mac and cheese balls, and fried pickles. All of them were good. The quesadillas are good and the burgers are excellent. I haven't had anything bad yet and it's all, generally priced okay. Would also recommend the wedding soup! Service: They must share tips because everyone takes care of everyone, which is cool. Ambiance: Great place to go for sports as there are hella TVs. They also have a Steelers game wing deal which is pretty cool. Overall: Excellent place to go and watch a game on a Sunday, they have the Sunday Ticket TV package. read more

This fun, busy, and friendly gem is tucked away a block off of Butler St. on 49th and.Hatfield in Lawrenceville. There are always a few groups of people chatting and laughing and doing shots on a Wednesday afternoon. The pop music is audible but not too loud. Fourteen (!) TVs each have a different sports channel or game on. Service is perfectly timed and attentive. The food menu is extensive and super-creative ( "Named "best burger and 44th in the nation" by Thrillist magazine") and has something for everyone - including the pups! They have a clever and pun-filled dedicated dog menu!! Dogs are welcome on the area in front, outfitted for now with picnic tables, but it looks like they are building a nice patio. This is a plus for me and Rooney. Stop by, enjoy a nice little selection of draft beers and some really good service and food. Maybe try the Mac N' Cheese Burger or Jalapeño Cream Cheeseburger. Things have gotten better here recently. The bartenders still know absolutely nothing about the many beers they sell, which is a little strange. It's also one of those places where they only hire "hot chicks" as servers, which is kinda gross. Still, the food is good, their happy hour deals and daily specials are back, and it's still one of the most affordable places to eat in the neighborhood. Food is always great. As is service. Definitely a beer joint but bartenders are always willing to make a classic cocktail. Food suggestions: wings (all flavors are great but really suggest honey jalapeno, hot garlic parm, hot bbq, and awesome sauce); Butler Street Buster (amazing club with French toast bread); North Shore (Philly on acid); and all of their quesadillas. Gave 4 out of 5 becauae I always smell like grease when I leave there and also because they took my favorite appetizer, sausage stuffed jalapenos, off the menu. read more

Great neighborhood joint w fair prices, large selection that is still legit, real comfort food (not unfrozen and reheated).

Stinky's is a go to spot for my friends and I when we want to watch games or get a late night bite to eat. They have a huge food menu with a lot of variety, and I've never had food there that I didn't like. We usually sit at the tables in the back area which is pretty casual, though there is a bar area at the front as well that gets a little more crowded. The staff is always friendly too and offers quick service. Highly recommend a stop at Stinky's! read more

Please update the menus!!! If wings are $8 the menu should show them as $8, not $7. Know that you'll also be charged a 3% "convenience fee" for any card purchase. Writing "there may be price adjustments due to supplier price increases" on the menu - and leaving it that way for years - is not fair to patrons. I like this place. It's a good neighborhood sports bar. Ownership just needs to be honest and then it'll be perfect. read more

Caitlin and Trinity are amazing behind the bar. They're friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We travel to Pittsburgh, our hometown, a couple times a year and usually hit up the same local spots. We were craving chicken wings and decided to try out Stinky's. Damn good food! We are here now and the Stinky's wings and stuffed banana peppers are just too good not to Yelp about. Service, food, and atmosphere are top notch. We've found our new hangout in the 'Burgh and will be happy to let all of our friends and family know what a great job you're doing here. The positive, there is a nice wait staff and the restaurant is easy to get to though street parking can be tough. The food was not good. I ordered the fish and chips and it was beyond bland. The fries were on the soggy side and the fish had no crisp. For the price, I expect much better. read more

Lawrenceville is so lucky to have a fun, casual and solid spot like Stinky's in the neighborhood. As someone who lives within walking distance to the restaurant, I've had many meals and drinks here and always leave happy. The owners and staff are wonderful humans. It is completely lost on me how Stinky's has such a high rating. Perhaps it's the atmosphere (seriously doubt it) and the beer deals - but the menu claims to have the "best burger in Pittsburgh" and I would argue it is one of the WORST. I recently got take out for a second time, just to give it another chance. It was worse than the first time. I specially asked for a burger cooked medium because the first time is way beyond well done. This time it was the same. Dry and flavorless. Nothing about these burgers are noteworthy and the claim that it was "voted the best" has no other details like when that award was given. If it once was the best burger, things have seriously gone downhill. We also ordered wings. When we opened the box we were met with no less than a full CUP of grease filling the bottom of the container (see photo). It was foul. The oily greasy mess served no purpose and had no flavor. It was simply disgusting. Another $40 wasted at Stinky's. And I assure you not a penny more will be wasted here. read more

I've seriously been here so many times and I can't believe I've never reviewed. It's a really good neighborhood bar with great booze and food specials. Nice mixed crowd of young, old, white collar and blue collar. Staff has always been spot on and super friendly. The food is so freaking good you guys. In fact it's so good this place has made it to Thrillist. Usually have been here for Rant festival and a friend lives across the street so we'd often grab beers with him. The owner must really hate life if you have to kick someone out just because someone else paid their tab. Called the cops and came to the house to say were not allowed back...The owner who is a older guy told me a 22 year old female while i was walking away "fuck off", sad sad sad, and the bar stinks like urine as soon as you walk in the door. I really enjoyed visiting Stinky's Bar and Grill! My friends and I met one evening after work. It wasn't very busy and we were able to sit right away. They have a very large beer/draft list and many beers on tap. The beer glasses were obviously chilled and made the beer taste even better! We ordered the Buffalo chicken dip as an appetizer. I really enjoyed the chips that were paired with it. The Buffalo dip was good, but I would probably try a different appetizer next time I visit. For my meal, I ordered the chicken fajita wrap. It was really delicious! Their menu is so large, I would love to come back and try something else! My friend's order came out wrong, and the staff was really friendly about it and brought out the correct order pretty quickly. They were apologetic and happy to help her out.
