came in after our quarterfinals sand volleyball game got rained out and chilled here. server comped my buddys beers and was super nice while taking care of such a busy space. food is good pub food and vibes are like catching up with an old friend you randomly ran into. will be back to support the red devils
This was the luck of Yelp.. we found this place on the way back to my family's home. It's a nondescript type of place. It's got outdoor seating and awning and they have a clear garage like door they open up. When we went we could smell the sweet scent of bbq! This place makes its own foods.. what was on special was meatloaf with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. What bar do you know that makes that? I don't know any. They make their own sauce, they smoke there own stuff. This is a place you can bring your kids, friends and hang out. You can sit at the bar and if you need to charge up your phone they got you covered. They have beers on tap and in bottles and cans and you can buy them to go. They have a good menu and the wings are very tasty. We got a few different sauces we got garlic parm, fire (it's more savory than hot) and a Carolina type of sauce. You can get either ranch or blue cheese for dipping These are all worth getting and we also got mozzarella sticks. They were very tasty too. They have tv's you can just sit around and relax. The staff is really nice and rather helpful to steer you if you are unsure about what to order. If you have a chance check this place out it was really a nice surprise. Street parking.
Drinks were great , food was good. And plenty of TVs because we came to watch golf and basketball. Did order a slice of pizza and it took over 35 minutes but we had to leave so never got it
What a great neighborhood bar, with excellent bar, food, great beer selection, and great atmosphere and ambience. Even on a busy Friday night, great service from the bar staff. Real neighborhood gem.
We came to Bulldog Pub while in the area visiting. Their menu online was different than their menu in person, so we were a little disappointed to not see some of what we came for. We ate outside on their back patio, which was perfect for our young kids to run around a little. Staff was very attentive and helpful for us. Pub looked like a local place that everyone goes to watch soccer games and had a very local vibe. I ordered the fish sandwich, which was huge and tasty. We also enjoyed the pretzel sticks with honey mustard and my husband loved the nachos. I'd recommend checking it out
Excellent local Pittsburgh bar. Very friendly crowd, majority of patrons drinking Iron City or IC Light. Fish sandwich was good and big.
Was in the area for my kids ice hockey tournament and I just love local 'dive' bars. So I went searching and came across this place. Well, we scored with this one! Definitely a local neighborhood bar. Bare bones menu which makes ordering easy. The buffalo chicken dip rocks! My first time having an IC Light (an awesome local beer) overall, no frills, friendly staff and good bar food.
Really, really liked Bulldog Pub. One of my resolutions was to stop going to the same part of town for food! Mission accomplished. As soon as we parked outside of BP (street parking) I immediately thought this place looked like a good time! The booths are old school, and the decor is really neat because it's a bunch of old local football pictures. Nothing fancy here! Also, the bathroom was a tiny little room, with one toilet. Again, nothing fancy! Our server was awesome, very attentive - always made sure we had drinks. He also hooked us up on the food and drinks. My new life consists of not only being a picky eater myself, but having two pre-teens to worry about as well. We all loved it! We had a little bit of everything. I had the salmon burger, which was quite good. The boys had some penne with butter (it's the simple things) which they loved - oh and some chicken wings, which were a hit. My boyfriend had a burger, and said it was good as well! The prices were average. And the food was "not just bar food" which is great. They had bar food, but it was "good bar food" I would definitely recommend, and would come back if we were in the neighborhood! *No smoking inside of this bar* *Kids welcomed, no issues there*

For Bar Faire, this place is legit. I always get the Paisanos (homemade chicken tenders) and the onion soup makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The staff are very friendly and the regulars clearly love them caskets always busy. Even though I'm not a sports guy, the soccer aesthetic is really cute. Helps that I live down the street. read more

The vibe of this place is amazing. Great soccer bar with solid drinks and if you are a Manchester United fan or a Liverpool fan, even better. Went for karaoke and the dj and crowd was amazing. Super fun and welcoming read more

My husband and I were hungry following a day-trip to the Pittsburgh Zoo and wanted to find a restaurant close by. A quick google search brought up the Bulldog Pub with great reviews. A short 0.3 mile drive from the zoo and we found ourselves at the doorstep to a hidden pub in a quiet neighborhood. The Bulldog Pub is a hidden gem! There's an outdoor space that's fenced in with soft lighting. The restaurant was catering a graduation party outside at the time we visited. They have a large variety of craft beer and wine to choose from. When we arrived there was a mixture of clientele. A family of 3 including a toddler was sitting in the booth behind us, four millennials were at the bar, a group of senior citizens walked in, and my husband and I occupied another booth. The inside of the Pub is a tight space, so I wouldn't recommend visiting with a large group unless you were seated outside. The overall ambiance of the place is truly a Pub atmosphere with TVs playing sports and a large bar. The food was delicious! We ordered wings and a pizza to share. They had an average list of wing sauces to choose from. Everything arrived at our table piping hot and fresh. They offer unique appetizers that you wouldn't find in most chain restaurants, and you can tell that they put some thought and creativity into their menu. The waitress was very attentive and hard working. She earned every cent of her generous tip! I highly recommend the Bulldog Pub if you're visiting the zoo or in the area. read more

Ended up here on a Saturday evening after a recommendation from a friend. They have a pretty decent draft list with some local specials, like from Cinderlands Beer Co. All of the house pies looked delicious, but we were really just in the mood for something simple and were informed that there is a build-your-own-pizza option. After hearing that, we ordered a pepperoni pie and a dozen wings. The neighborhood is pretty quiet, but the vibe was chill. Since it was the NFL playoffs, there was a lively group of people there to cheer on their teams. I will definitely come back here again! read more

The perfect local bar!!! It's great to go get some drinks with some friends and hang out or watch a game.One of the only soccer bars in Pittsburgh! We have been recently been going to trivia recently, and that's so much fun! It has a great atmosphere and the staff is always really nice. We usually get the wings (the black and gold sauce is our fav) and a salad. They also have great pizza!! Highly recommended. read more

A great neighborhood pub to wet your whistle! Decent pub food selections especially once the summer rolls in. Nice relaxed atmosphere where you can pull up a stool, and bring in your dog! Recommend when you're in the area to visit the Pittsburgh Zoo stop on by! read more

The Bulldog is a marvelous neighborhood pub with excellent food. The atmosphere is friendly, and the wait staff is helpful and enthusiastic. Prices are great and so is the food. The beer selection is impressive. You can't go wrong with the Hummus Platter. I ordered the Grilled Steak Salad, a huge portion size for only $10. Pair that with East End Big Hop on tap, life is good! read more

Man, this place is GREAT. We go here pretty often, but tonight was particularly good. We can always could on great service. Pizza was half off tonight! The pizza is really good: the sauce is the highlight for me. If I had to criticize, I'd say the cheese to crust ratio isn't quite it for me (very thin crust, pile on A LOT of cheese and a topping or too and it can get messy). The wings are good. 4/5 stars? We got the spiciest they had an imo not very spicy at all. But for me, crispiness and quality meat is much more important, and they nailed it in that dept. Needed more sauce. But to top it all off, we got these and ERMERGEHD. I think this is one of those menu items that I now can't NOT order. They also have great affordable drinks: nothing fancy, but it's a nice neighborhood spot for good drinks, way better than average "bar food," and friendly service. read more
