This place has very interesting artifacts and decorations. We enjoyed having some burgers and playing pool while waiting for our Primal Painting nearby to finish drying.

Karaoke sundays! Live music Saturdays and random sidewalk cornhole summer nights. The neighborhood , dive bars in a good way are going away. You are going to miss them when they're gone. Often get some under-rated live music - like now - as I write this, amazing blue tribute band is playing. Much better than most cover bands around town. Cheap beer, friendly people.. come and n out!

An okay spot in Verona, a dive bar with somewhat of an edge. The restaurant space is "Hula" themed and they do have some outdoor seating. Could be cleaner. Great place to watch games. They had no draft beer available the day we were there. Our waitress was great, it was pretty busy and she was only person taking care of the whole place and still was on top of things. The Hula fries were not great, way too much cheese (something I don't often say). The burger I had was pretty good though. Prices are reasonable. Worth checking out.

    Burrito

Needless to say, I shouldn't expect much from the food at a nightclub but I went during the day for food and drinks. My drink was stiff But my burrito was cold. The CHEF obviously doesn't know the menu, period. The cheese wasn't melted, and he added a very sparse sprinkling of extra lettuce and tomato for free when I should have been charged like $3. If I wanted lettuce and tomato on my burrito, I would have expected a lot more. I also would have asked for it and paid for it.

Here we go steelers, here we go!! That being said i'm usually here for sporting events. I first came during hockey season on a Tuesday night. Every table was packed. We had to sit in a corner table that was low to the floor unlike the tall bar style tables. i didn't mind tho because the three projection screen TV's they have are huge and visible throughout the whole establishment. They have a pool table and a dart board for entertainment and i think an arcade game of sorts. the pool game cost money of course but that's ok. they have about 15 bar talbes that seat between 2 and four people but you can add more chairs for your liking. They also have bar seating for about 15-20 as well. The inside is nicely decorated with a Caribbean pirate theme. Almost makes you feel like its halloween all year round. skeletons, sharks, and bamboo decorations. The food selection is crazy! they have four pages of food, all bar food, wings with over 24 sauces, 20 pizzas, 20 burgers, and all kinds of appetizers. Plus they have soup and salads but don't expect a steak sandwich or roasted chicken. I've had their wings.. pretty good, and their pizza is ok, the jalapeno burger was just as good too. My sister raves for their funnel cake fries, which come topped with powdered sugar. YUM! Can't forget their beer selection either. They have specials every night. We went on a monday and all their 12oz drafts were only $4. Naturally I had two. they list about 20 drafts plus they have bottled beers and a full bar. This place is cheap as far as food and drinks come. They even had 5 coors light bottles in a bucket for $12. They also have $5 eat-in-only pizza specials. and half off apps and wings during steeler games. The atmosphere is pretty chill, people are mainly there to drink and mind their business or to socialize about whatever local game is on. It's pretty cool expect for the service. On certain days they only have 2 people to serve the entire bar. So it may take awhile to get served. I notice that they care more about serving you beer and liquor than actual food. I would suggest they get more employees to meet the demand. Especially on game day!! who has only two servers during a steelers or pens game. really? Other than that this place pretty great!

Honey Jalapeño and Sweet Chili wings!! Half price during happy hour

Did we listen? Not before, but now that we have been there, we can't wait to go back. From the outside, Carnivores looks like a dive bar. But au contraire, the place is actually NOT a dive bar at all. It's definitely a nice local restaurant/bar that has a Cheers vibe. Several of the tables had Reserved signs on them and I figured out that groups of people must have been gathering for NCAA Championship. Nevertheless, we were seated quickly and our orders were taken quickly and we were served piping hot food quickly. Fresh cut fries are one of my weaknesses and I couldn't resist ordering them along with the Jimbo sub which has shaved ribeye steak, hot sausage, provolone, mushrooms, onions and lettuce and tomatoes. Definitely a delicious gut-buster! And the fresh cut fries? Yeah, it was a boss move to order those to go with! If you're a beer drinker, this place is also for you because they have 8,000 different types of brands. Seriously, you can get your beer on with quite a number of varieties. We will definitely come back because of the fresh cut fries and affordable prices.

The place was nice, the upstairs space looked amazing. The pop was strong and needed to be brixed and have the syrup to carbonated water mix adjusted and might need a new cabonator as well. Wait staff was friendly and welcoming. Tons of TVs in the place on every wall but a lot were not on. Though plenty were. I got the open face hot turkey sandwich, my wife got the Rueben and subbed for white bread. We got potato skins for our appetizer. I ordered chicken noodle soup with my meal. The potato skins were delicious and cooked perfectly! The sour cream was even made better with some dried chives. The chicken noodle soup was a little thicker and creamy and delicious. I enjoyed every bite! The hot turkey was ok, the bread was burnt and hard which made it hard to enjoy. The Rueben was ok, the meat was very hard/tough. Hard to chew but the taste was ok. She really loved the chips and french onion dip. It appeared to be homemade and it was the best one she ever had and she's sort of an French dip aficionado. Overall I would probably go back again, it was a decent time and we really liked the atmosphere.

Bocce. Not the most popular sport, but honestly a nice lackadaisical, recreational sport that accommodates all types of people. The facility is pristine (probably since it is relatively new)... but it hopefully stays this way! Six courts with different colored sets of balls. The carpet is smooth and rolls well with excellent foot paths and seating areas. The extras make the experience feel very professional with lane timers, measuring tapes, ball racks, and score keeping methods. Even down to the rules laid out including my favorite.. "No swearing in English" The bar area is also top notch! Self serve beer taps and wine taps (these are the coolest). Just tap your card and they have siphons that pull your wine right from the bottle.. and chilled glass coolers to enhance your experience. A dock for a food truck to pull right up to! They served us multiple pizza types (pepperoni, white, margherita, and pesto chicken), wings (honey barbecue and original), and french fries. They more than accommodated our group with ample refills of the food and a plethora of to-go containers at the ready to ensure that we took everything home! I grabbed an Orange Crush from the bar and it was refreshing with a strong amount of alcohol. The bartenders are used to their Italian crowd, so they aren't messing around. They also have a cigar lounge, party room, merch store, slot games, and a clear Italian pride. The logo and decor is strongly covered in the Italian flag.

Spoke with a lady manager, she was polite and helpful previously. Decided after tonight's bad food that I wasn't coming back. So called just to let them know. This time it was a guy manager. Who proceeded to talk over me the whole time, was rude and condescending. And when he asked me a question would interrupt before I could finish my comment. I've been in this industry for about over 40 years now and am so tired of assholes like this guy. He is what makes food service shit. And why restaurants go out of business. His ego needs checked. Now not only won't we be back, I will actively tell people not to eat at Somma. I'm a catering chef. I speak to A LOT OF PEOPLE about food. Being a dick to customers is a bad business plan. Edit: Just spoke with my buddy who picked up the pizzas. Said they were giving him weird looks when he came in and I think I know why. When I was ordering I had to explain it to the girl 6 or 7 times before she got it. She was getting frustrated. I asked for a pizza with olive oil and garlic, with chicken and hot peppers, house cheese mix. That's all. She kept asking if I wanted a white with no ranch. I said no, and explained, again, what we wanted. We have ordered this more than once. Finally after like 6 times she repeated it back, I corrected that we wanted hot peppers, not just peppers. She said OK. We still got green peppers by the way. SMH.... The pizza was the final straw for me, and why I was calling. But after this whole drama, my guess is you have internal issues WAY beyond inconsistent food.

We were obviously fresh from the road, and Kayla made us feel welcome with quick cheerful attention. This restaurant is vast, including a 20-seat TV-filled bar and an enclosed maybe-20-seat patio, and plenty of on-site parking. Prices looked pretty good, and we went for some lighter fare, if there is a lighter form of huge :-) We got a well-named "colossal" original "almost famous" fish sandwich for $11.50, fresh crispy tender flakey fish, i think it's cod, lightly fried but not oily, with the filet wider than the sandwich. The thick slabs of lightly toasted Italian white bread were stacked with perfect fries, crispy outside and tender inside. And they added a layer of a vinegar-forward slaw that added flavor much like a mild fresh sauerkraut. They gave us some sauces, too, and now and then we added some mildly spicy-sauce for some extra bite, which is how I like my fried fish :-). And there are so many sandwich options we easily could have stacked it even higher! We also got a big salad, remarkably reasonable at $5, fresh crunchy lettuce, cucumber, and sliced tomato, with the rich flavors of hard-boiled eggs and cheddar, crunchy croutons, and the clever tasty addition of roasted corn kernels. Both of these dishes were so generous that, after eating all we dared while traveling, we still had half of each to carry out with us for farther down the road. Primanti's has almost 40 locations within 100 or so miles of their hometown, Pittsburgh, with four just off I-76, and they even have a location in Baltimore!
