Stopped at Bridgetown with a coworker in between jobs. She had never been there. As most people who are first time visitors, she was pleasantly surprised at what lay inside the non-descript outside facade. Many people pass by thinking it's a total dive bar, but inside (once your eyes adjust to the slight darkness) it's cozy & friendly. They have GREAT sandwiches & burgers & the prices are affordable. Often there is one person bartending & waiting tables. Our server today was doing both & was very friendly & re-filled our Diet Cokes often. My friend had the prime rib French dip & I had the smash burger. We both got seasoned fries. Everything was great. I hadn't stopped in for well over a year, so glad I had time. Loved it here! Met a friend from out of town and we all were wowed by their beer selection and food. I got their wings, and they were huge and worth every penny of that days market price of $14. Their ranch is homemade too and perfect for dipping. Matt got a Cuban and enjoyed it before I could get a picture, and Jeremy got a steak salad because Ohio is dumb and doesn't know how to do a steak salad like the 'burgh! I had a wonderful first experience here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon around 1230. Though there appeared to be only one employee running both the bar and serving the tables, the service was mostly prompt and friendly. There were about 3 patrons seated at the bar and maybe 3 or 4 other parties seated in the dining area. I loved the dimly lit atmosphere and movie decor spread throughout the restaurant. I ordered a reuben with fries and asked for the 1000 island dressing on the side. My dad ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries. We both agreed that the fries were cooked and seasoned perfectly. You have the choice to have the fries come out plan, but I'm telling you that you definitely want the seasoning. It had a little kick to it and it was absolutely delicious. My reuben was also tasty and stuffed with corned beef. It was a little messy, as expected, and it appeared that I got the butt end of the rye bread loaf, but I still loved the sandwich! I took a bite of the pulled pork sandwich and thought it was good. I'm picky with BBQ sauces and this one was a little sweet for my preference. The jalapeños certainly helped balance it out, though. My friends and I stopped in here for dinner on a Friday night. We all got an assortment of food, including pretzels and beer cheese, a buffalo chicken salad, chicken wings, a burger, soup, and chicken sandwich. The food was good, but nothing really stood out all too much. The pretzels were good, but make sure you like butter bc they were swimming in it. The wings were fine. Their buffalo sauce is good. Service was okay. The waitress was busy and definitely showed it. We felt very rushed when ordering and she was abrupt each time she interacted with us. The food came out fairly quickly though and was hot. The place was also really loud. It didn't seem crowded enough to be that loud. Idk what it was. Overall, everything was fine, but nothing really stood out. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but also wouldn't tell anyone else not to go. read more

Horrible food and service. Every table around us said the same thing and rude servers. Burnt fries, stale buns and very little fish is right. Too noisy and too dark also. Will not be back due to that server. If he would've actually stopped drinking behind the bar and talking and waited on tables, our food could've been corrected. I was in town visiting my sister, and we decided to stop in this place for lunch on Tuesday afternoon. There were a few people at the bar as well as a few tables of diners. The bartender, Camille, was also responsible for waiting on all of the dining tables and did a fantastic job. The place is nicely decorated with plenty of pictures and lights throughout the dining area. I had the reuben sandwich with the house cut fries. It tasted delicious. My sister had the classic burger with the house cut fries as well. She said it was very good. They also have appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches, several burgers, and wings. We had a great meal at a super trendy bar/restaurant last Friday. It had a great bar feel with the low lights, TVs, and fun light fixtures. My husband and I had the French dip with tater tots and it was great! The tots are always a fun side. Cons: dining was a wee bit dark, but not a concern. The smell of grease was strong, but we sat near the kitchen so that may be why. Been meaning to check out more Ambridge locations and so glad we stopped in at Bridgetown tonight to give them a try! I called in an hour for pick up about an hour later and the food was just coming out of the kitchen as I showed up. Good amount of barstools in the front, but there are some seats in the back for those who choose to eat in. Tonight we tried the Bridgetown Burger with fries and the Cubano with tots. Portions were plentiful, food was fresh, and the prices were pretty much what you'd expect. Wouldn't mind coming back to try out more of the menu and try eating in. read more

I recently discovered this gem and I've been coming back regularly since! Bridgetown Taphouse never disappoints on their food options or their draft list. This is the perfect place to warm up and catch a game on a cold winter night. Food: I've never ordered anything here that I didn't love! Their burgers are great and the wings are ALWAYS hot and crispy. My favorite is the lemon pepper or the Buffalo. Just make sure you put in your order for wings early as they are made fresh and require about 20 minutes to cook. Drinks: Their cocktails are always spot on. I'm currently sipping on a Maple Rum Punch that is to die for! If you're more into beers, they carry a great selection of local brews, so you're bound to find something you like no matter what your taste is. Ambience: This is the perfect casual spot to watch a football game. The space is warmly lit with string lights, which feels very intimate and cozy in the seating area. They are larger then you get from other restaurants in the area. I talked to other patrons of the Taproom and was told the rest of their menu is above and beyond There is also a great selections of beer and ale both local and imported The atmosphere is dark resentment of bars or taprooms in the 1960-70s The staff is friendly.
