Outside of restaurant!

Our crew was visiting from out of town for a hockey tournament. We were able to find street parking very easy on a Saturday. It appeared there was a pregame event for the Steelers game (which was the next day), so I was surprised parking was so easy. We were seated at a high top and our server was excellent! Attentive, checked in frequently and friendly. We had the typical "bar food." Burgers, fries, wings, wrap. Everything was good and hot the spot for a late lunch. TVs are everywhere, every angle. Patio! Clean restrooms All in all, it was a great lunch and great service. Lots of beer options too. ;)

I had the Poké bowl for dinner at Tom's Watch Bar and honestly, I wouldn't order it again or recommend it. I understand the concept of serving cold rice with Poké, but this rice was refrigerator hard cold, which really threw off the entire dish. The fish, avocado, and other toppings were fresh, but the temperature of the rice made the whole meal less enjoyable. I should've gone with the burger and fries instead of trying to be healthy late at night. On the positive side, the ambience was great -- lively and fun with plenty of beer options. It's in a convenient location too; I was staying at the hotel across the street, so it was an easy walk over. Great spot for drinks and atmosphere, but I'd skip the Poké bowl.

Best place for pregames, loved our server and hosts... the beer is cold and served on glasses. The food is delicious and atmosphere can't be beat before the big game.

While, we was in Pittsburgh We had the pleasure of stopping by Tom's watch bar to have a Saturday evening dinner. The atmosphere was great. TVs were everywhere fun, sports bar. We got to watch SummerSlam on a giant TV with you. I really truly appreciated and loved. The food was fantastic. I got a giant beer the largest beer I've ever seen and it was awesome. Our waitress was very friendly and everything was perfect. Definitely recommend this place and I will be back the next time. We are in Pittsburgh.

Food was delicious! But service was not amazing. The bartender was too focused on the game (which I understand) but it took us 20 minutes sitting at the bar to get our beer and it wasn't super packed. Besides that the bartender was nice and the food was good! Definetely best place to watch the game! Lots of tvs

Went here during Picklesburgh, and it was super good. I ordered the Birria Nachos which was really good and well portioned out. I do wish however, they gave more meat as that was a little sparse but the flavor was good. After the nachos were finished since my boyfriend and j shared we ordered the Adobo Chicken tacos and they were supposed to be corn but came out flour. That was the only issue we experienced being there. They give the big cans of High Noons too for a decent price. If I am ever back to the north shore, I would definitely go back! Plenty of seating and a great atmosphere. Also the service was super friendly!

Food was ok but the service was awesome and the ambiance was as expected for a sports bar. Prices were a little steep. For my husband and I to get two drinks (Tom's mar-great, topo-Chico--also great) and one app (pot-stickers -eh) it was $50 with tip.

The ultimate destination for watching all your favorite sports!! I checked out Tom's recently after 1 other not so great visit- I had been to Tom's one other time previously, right after they opened, and didn't have the best experience (it was mobbed and we didn't order any food- so couldn't judge on that) but it took forever to get a drink wnd the prices were outrageous- this time it was awesome- still an expensive spot but very cool and service improved. The food is elevated bar food. Everything was great! My favorite was the lobster & shrimp mac & cheese- unreal. Tasted better than what half of the fancy steak places around PGH serve. I also loved their prime rib dip sandwich and the nachos! Everything was delicious and I was very impressed For drinks I stuck with a glass of wine and also tried a fun shot. The wine pour was very generous! I will definitely be back after this experience

BEST PITTSBURGH WING…read more We were absolutely not expecting this and still can't believe it. We didn't have major expectations but hoped it would be at least a top 5 wing and average meal. It was beyond that The French onion soup we saw online and everyone seemed to enjoy that. We're whores for it so had to get. I like mine a tad bit salty which this was and PACKED with onion chunks and breaded leeks on top. It was impossible to get a spoon fully without any inclusions. My new favorite The Tavern Burger. I'm coming fresh off 9 years without 5 Guys (elite) and this rocked me harder than that. This isn't a stupid smash burger. We got a juicy COOKED PERFECT RARE 8oz patty, topped with sautéed onions, and bacon that isn't crisped to smithereens. I like my bacon medium rare and that's exactly what I got. Then covered in one of the craziest sauces I have ever had, their gorgonzola cream. I could drink that by the gallon The wings.... I have never had a wing itself cooked more perfect in my life. The smoke and meatiness on them was so nailed that I could get 2 dozen plain and still have the same reaction. We got the Buffalo Garlic and Dry Cajun Ranch. These wings don't need drenched in sauce by any means or it would honestly ruin it. The buffalo doesn't ned to be creamy either. Perfect amount of sauce to cheese ration. The dry cajun ranch was a fucking knockout. For how great the wing is I would love to see more dry season options with them Cam got a Tavern Dip. I hate dips. I loved the shaved ribeye on it and horseradish, but I have never been an Au Jus man. Would 100000% eat it without the au jus Then the fries. Always team psoriasis through and through. Not sure if I'm coming off the Five Guys high but their cajun boardwalk style are even better. Get some spicy honey aioli to dip them in. Truly just shocked at how amazing this place is. Right over the bridge and cannot recommend enough going here before a game and walking over. Great spot right before, after and during sports. Very high Pittsburgh atmosphere going on I will be back so many times and absolutely worth going Downtown for

We stopped in on a Tuesday night and opted to sit at the bar since it wasn't busy. Something important to note is that when we arrived, the music was playing softly in the background. While the prices were decent, the service was not. Our waitress came over to us after our appetizers arrived, I asked for a refill, we made eye contact, she ignored me, and turned around. It took another ten minutes before I was able to get a refill, and she never asked again for the rest of the time we were there. The people sitting beside us arrived later and ordered similar food to us, and they somehow received their food quite some time before ours came out. I am almost certain the bartender forgot to put in our order. Halfway through our meal (which was okay at best), someone turned the music up so loud that we couldn't hear each other speak. I'm pretty sure "Brandy, You're A Fine Girl" played three times in a 30-minute window. It felt like we were intruding on a private party despite there being maybe seven other people at the bar. Despite clearly being done with our food, it took us another 30 minutes to get our checks. If you're looking for cheap bar food and don't mind repetitive music at varying levels of volume and being ignored by your bartender, give Sidelines a try.

My first trip to Pittsburgh meant a lot of firsts, including my first meal in the city…read more After a 3:30 AM wake-up call and a flight into Pittsburgh, my 18-year-old travel companion Jackson and I were more than ready for lunch. Normally I travel with his dad so this trip was a little different. Jackson has heard plenty of stories about all the places his father and I have eaten over the years, so this time I handed him the responsibility of picking our first restaurant. Working downtown, we needed something close by and landed at RedBeard's Sports Bar & Grill. The short walk through downtown Pittsburgh was interesting, but the weather was another story. Hot, humid, and muggy. By the time we arrived, the restaurant was busy and only outdoor seating was available. We took a table outside but asked if we could move indoors when something opened up. Our server, Lauren, was fantastic from start to finish. Friendly, attentive, and she made sure we were well taken care of. I let Jackson choose the appetizer and he knocked it out of the park with the mozzarella sticks. Crispy on the outside, loaded with gooey melted cheese on the inside, and paired with a very good marinara sauce. Definitely a strong start to the meal. Jackson and I quickly came to the same conclusion: air conditioning exists for a reason. Patio dining has its place, but a hot and humid Pittsburgh afternoon isn't it. Thankfully, we were able to move inside once a table became available. For my meal, I ordered the Reuben, one of my go-to sandwiches whenever I see it on a menu. RedBeard's version didn't disappoint. Plenty of corned beef, good flavor throughout, and everything worked well together. I requested my fries well-done with no seasoning, and they came out exactly the way I like them. Jackson went with the Inside-Out Grilled Cheese and was thrilled with his choice. Judging by how quickly it disappeared, I'd say it was a winner. I don't know when I'll find myself back in Pittsburgh, but I enjoyed both the restaurant and the downtown atmosphere. Good food, excellent service from Lauren, and a solid first dining experience in the city. 4 stars from me. I'd happily stop back in the next time work brings me to Pittsburgh.
