Pittsburgh has so many music venues. I really am impressed. And this little cozy, intimate setting is superb. "Intimate" is the word described over and over in other's Yelp reviews and that is the most appropriate description. Came here to see the band "The Accidentals" after first seeing them this summer at the Three Rivers Festival downtown. They were billed with Jake Allen and Rising Regina as the first acts. For 12.00 each plus service fees my husband and I got to enjoy 3 acts and 3 hours of music in a quaint setting. Doors opened at 7pm with the first act playing at 8pm. We arrived at 7:30pm and promptly parked right outside the door with our great car karma, I kid you not. What a fantastic start. Then, upon opening the door, there were 2 seats left in the entire place at the bar. Again, fantastic, in a space with about 10 chairs at the bar, some with backs, some not (ours not). Then, there's an open space and after that some tables and chairs but not all that many. Our spot at the bar was perfect for viewing the band with no heads in front of us with people standing for most of the entire show. Sweet! They have a decent wine/beer/cocktail menu and several dining options. We had already eaten so just partook of some glasses of wine. The only downsides to give this a 4 vs. a 5 star rating was the fact that 1) my first glass of wine was served in an extremely dirty rimmed glass -- so dirty that the bartender should have noticed before I, or rather, my husband did and after my first sip. Eww... 2) mid-way through the last act's performance, the bartenders were nowhere to be found for quite a length of time. I ended up asking the front door ticket-taker about that so we could pay our tab before the rush at the end of the show. It all worked out and the venue for a small concert is ideal! But, be sure to get there early so you won't have to stand the whole time!

I have come to this little cozy venue twice now. The first time was to see a band I know and it was fun but the place is only set to hold 50 people comfortably if that and it was packed. This last time we went was nice. We got a cozy little table and ordered food. My friend got the chicken sandwich which he said was delicious. I ordered the four cheese pizza which wasn't bad and size of the pizza was awesome for the price it was. Then we got the cheese plate as an appetizer which was tasty but way over priced and there wasn't much on the plate at all. Now as for the crowd and music It was fantastic! We had a blast they were so much fun to watch and very interactive with the everyone. Reason I gave this place 3 starts was our table was wobbly and off center when we sat our drinks/food down the table would tilt. The cheese plate was way over priced. Other then that the staff and atmosphere was great!

I've been to hundreds of concerts across the country and I'm attempting to write a review of every venue to assist my concert going troubadours. Elizabeth Cook - August 7, 2016 One of my favorite venues in Pittsburgh. It reminds me a lot of the Bluebird in Nashville - very intimate, urban lounge setting, great sound. I have intimacy issues, so sometimes a little too close to the artist. The staff has always been friendly and the prices seem about right. My only grip is they don't seem to use social media correctly to promote shows. I often don't hear about shows until they are sold out or passed.

Nice stage and fun for small town bands. The gentleman helping get all the musical instruments together was very helpful and informative. Nice tap beer selection! And a lot of bottles as well. However it did take us 30 minutes to get our pizza, but it was delicious, light, and absolutely homemade!

Small but intimate venue with excellent sound and a much better than average selection of microbrews. The Sound was right on for the shows I've been too. One tip, double check the schedule online, they sometimes have early and later shows. Easy to mix the times up even if you're not dyslexic or scatter brained!

Do they have open mic night? If so, when?

Not that I am aware of & also they are sadly supposedly closing their doors at the end of December 2024 with shows scheduled nightly until December 30.

(Sitting at the bar is the best!) We started with Bartender's choice (which is always a good idea if you're at a specialty cocktail bar), and we both loved what we got! They made me a Juliet & Romeo, which was gin, cucumber, mint, etc. they made my fiancé a Safe Return, which was bourbon, pineapple, cinnamon, etc. (didn't write down the ingredients so can't remember it all lol) I also got the classic Last Word, which was great! They didn't include the maraschino cherry garnish which made me sad, but I lived lol. I also tried the Euro Trip from their specialty menu, and it was delicious and very spicy from the ginger. They also had their own barrel select of Knob Creek, which my fiancé tried - so cool! The bartenders were super chill and the ambiance was great! A little pricey but worth it.

When we walked in, the host greeted us right away, asked for our name, and seated us pretty quickly. There were actually a good amount of open seats, so I am not sure reservations were completely necessary, but it was still nice to have one. I honestly expected the inside to feel more extravagant and space themed, almost like an outer space vibe with more visual elements and atmosphere. I was hoping for something more immersive and futuristic. It was still cool overall, just not quite as visually dramatic as I imagined. We ordered an espresso martini and the Kiwi Nova. I really enjoyed my drink, especially after talking with the host who explained that they use scientific processes for their cocktails along with fresh purées and fresh ingredients. That is something I really appreciate because I am not a fan of drinks made with a lot of simple syrup or fake additives. He loved his espresso martini and said it was one of the best he has had. My drink was definitely on the sweeter side and I feel like too much of it might lead to a hangover, but it was still really good. Our server was attentive at first, but later on we ended up waiting a while to order another round. After sitting for a bit, we decided to order through the hostess instead and she got us taken care of right away. Overall, it was a cool experience mainly for the drinks. The cocktails were definitely the highlight. Service was okay, and I am not sure if we will return, but I am glad we finally got to check it out.
