My wife and I had brunch at Elements earlier today and I left happier and more surprised than I thought. I have read very good things about this restaurant but I found the brunch menu sorely lacking. We only found two things we were interested in (crab cake benedict and french toast). While waiting, I looked at the dinner menu and found many things I would really like to try. I was told that nothing from the dinner menu was available, so it all came down to two dishes and coffee. I was expecting to leave disappointed, but no such thing happened. We will be going back for dinner soon and are both looking forward to it. The place is smaller than I thought it would be, but it is charming, quaint and lovely and they have some seating upstairs. We came across this restaurant as a highly rated suggestion on Google for a brunch spot near Portland OR, and definitely were not disappointed! The reservation process was not made to be difficult. We were delighted to be greeted and treated with kindness by all the staff we came across, from the lady answering our phone inquiry the day before, to the waitresses taking our order and giving us complimentary champagne on the house to celebrate our anniversary here. The restaurant has a very unique look, with all the beautiful paintings on the wall that were available for purchase. I ordered the steak and eggs with a special request for the eggs to be sunny-side-up, while my partner ordered the shrimp and grits. Both dishes were splendid in both presentation and taste, and the portions were filling without any overwhelming or excessive elements in sight. The dessert we chose for the special occasion was the crème brûlée, which was creamy yet not too sweet at the same time. We were so happy to dine at such a hospitable place with courteous staff! Best restaurant experience on my Oregon/Washington vacation. This flavor focused restaurant gave us great personality in each dish that was ordered. We were a group and ordered all the appetizers and all the desserts including the ones not on the menu. Every dish was exotic and really well thought. My tenderloin entrée was outstanding and gave me enough to talk about with my wife and peers. I'll rate all the dishes below: 1- The Porcini & chocolate dusted beef tenderloin was the dish that I was searching for in the North Pacific states. That steak was big, juicy, soft and accompanied by great sweet and some other weird flavored sauces that I really liked. It came with a big piece of mushroom that I have never seen before and I liked it. Apparently, it's called King Trumpet. The French potato Pavè was just the companion to tango with this great steak. 2- The octopus was delicious. Not everyone can cook octopus right but this octopus was cooked well and had great sauce and potatoes that complimented each other greatly. 3- Dungeness Crab & Brie Fondue was great. Very easy to start snacking on it and get full before entrée. 4 - I tasted the beet salad and the pomegranate sauce was delicious. 5- The roasted cauliflower I don't usually eat but my peers kept insisting that I taste it. I gotto say it was something different than what I expected. Good though. 6- Sea bass I didn't try but my friend said it was awesome and it looked like it! 7- scallops and prawns were really good, somehow I didn't enjoy the risotto much, which was shocking. Desserts::::: We ordered all the desserts. My favorite was the pie. and I listed them in the order of my liking. 1- Banana cream Pie 5 = the best. 2- lemon cheesecake = very good. 3- Vanilla bean Crème Brûlée = very good. 4- Chocolate Pot De Creme = very good. 5- Bourbon Chocolate dessert = not my type but the whole table liked it. 6- Strawberry Shortcake = was the one recommended by the waitress who by the way, was very attentive and nice, but this one didn't lived up to the hype. I have to recognize that the beets ice cream that came with it was a winner, different and the people that counted it out before trying it had to agree that it was very good. Place is clean, appealing, has a lot of art paintings all over the walls with prices. Not the type of art I like but I appreciate the theme. Service was great! It's honestly an art when it comes to making food that has such a typical taste and being able to make it your own and taste amazing yet feel like you're trying something new. You can honestly taste the passion and the niche the chef puts in the food here at elements restaurant. I ordered the eggs Benedict's along with the bread pudding French toast. The eggs Benedict had a good taste along with the hint of sweetness from the muffin they used to set the egg and Canadian bacon. Not to strong a flavor yet subtle enough to keep you wanting more and enjoy a good eggs Benedict. The winner of the brunch had to be the bread pudding French toast. It was different yet the set up with blueberries, sweet butter cream and and the bread just had my taste buds going nuts. It was so good yet not to over powering to the point where you could eat a second round without feeling grossed out. This is a nice spot to eat too, it's small but the attention along with the flavor is a win here. The chef walks by time to time and talks to the folks eating and takes critic to hear and is there to i please the customers. You need a reservation to eat here and it's recommended since the place can get busy at times. I recommend this place 100% and I will be back to try this spot again. read more

I was telling my wife how much good service goes into a nice dining experience as I dropped my napkin. Before I could pick it up a member of the staff walking by gave me a new one. After our appetizer I was trying to figure out what silverware to keep for the main course. It wasn't a problem, they cleared the table and brought everything needed for the next course. I absolutely loved my meal at Elements Restaurant. Our server was friendly and sweet. I ordered the smoked salmon and avocado toast. The dish was very sophisticated. The poached egg was topped with roe and dressed with cucamelons. The cucamelons gave the rich yolk a very nice fresh contrast as the cucamelons has a slight sour taste. The menu was well organized and done as there was something for everyone. Sweet and savory. In addition, their drink selection was awesome as it included mimosas. So you bet you'll have a good time. Found this cute restaurant on Instagram, and put it on my must visit restaurants! Vancouver is a small town but places like this really make it special. I came here with my best friend last weekend for brunch and it was delicious! I ordered the duck biscuit and gravy, and my friend got the sweet pancakes. We both loved our food and drinks! I forgot to take a picture of my drink. It was a warm Spanish coffee, I believe. It was really good. We came to Elements for the first time a few months ago and came back for our anniversary dinner. It is so delicious! Between our two visits we have had pork belly and crab&brie fondue appetizers; pork chop, duck, scallop, and seared tuna entrees; and banana cream pie and creme brulee desserts. We have also tried about five of their cocktails. Everything has been excellent and we plan to return. The cost makes it more of a special occasion spot for us; however, the prices are more than fair for the quality of the service and food. For our anniversary they also went above and beyond to help us celebrate. Love this place! read more

Excellent experience tonight. I was greeted straight off the bat, and every staff member I encountered smiled and seemed to genuinely enjoy being there. The menu, while not large, has clever options and great variety. The drinks were adorned and flavorful, and the beet salad was earthy and packed a punch. I can honestly say I've never understood the phrase "depth of flavor" until trying the scallops. From the very first bite I had to pause and take moment to close my eyes and enjoy. As a gluten free person, sadly not by choice, I appreciated the clear labeling of options available to me, and the quantity as well. I believe I interacted with almost every staff member on the floor, and even the chef brought out my main course. TL/DR: just go. Seriously. My wife and I went to Elements for my birthday. My wife has a severe allergy to mushrooms, and when she made a note of that in our reservation the chef himself called her to ensure that the menu had items she would enjoy and could safely eat. Please note we are not celebrities or anything. This was neither asked for or expected but wow does it show some class and care, and that was before the dinner started. When we got there for our dinner, the chef walked us through the menu of the night, calling out what was safe. After that, service was amazing. Fast, friendly, and Covid safe. The food was amazing. We started with the crab and Brie fondue. Enough to share for two, if you can resist hording it. The cheese was perfectly balanced and didn't over power the crab and the artichoke added a nice vegetable bitterness. I had the Ras al hanout roasted chicken. The spice run was warming and had just the right amount of spice, with a wonderful high note of cinnamon. The squash was buttery soft, onion sauce slightly sweet and the perfect creamy accompaniment. My chicken came with a beet risotto, which tied everything together. As good as the chicken was (and it was perfectly roasted) the halibut my wife had was even better. The fish came with a generous portion, perfectly spiced, and crusted on the outside but soft and ideally cooked inside. The yellow curry sauce had a restrained but noticeable heat that picked the fish up and the purple mash cooled it all down. The mash deserves a special note; it was velvety, slightly sweet, and had a hint of what I think is vanilla. The delicata squash was delightful and added a nice texture to go with the halibut. It was a 'last meal' level good dish. Dessert was apple bread pudding with cinnamon gellato, apples, and crispy bacon bits. It was like a churro grew up and became a high end dessert. read more

Brunched it at Elements for the first time and we had an excellent experience. Found it on Yelp, of course, and was able to make a brunch reservation for 6 the night before. Location is easy to access, convenient and ample street parking within 4 square blocks, although it was getting very busy when we left at noon. The brunch menu was a well balanced combination of sweet and savory dishes. I ordered the eggs benedict with bacon instead of ham and the hollandaise and side potatoes were all delicious. The french toast was also tasty and there were several other dishes that I wished I could have tried. Several brunch cocktails looked unique and interesring too beyond your typical Mary. Elements service excelled and it was a warm and friendly experience. My coffee cup remained full and hot and it's nice to dine at a place that isn't operating your run of the mill order first at the counter and the customer does all the work place.
