Nice hostess, however doesn't realize she spilled or didn't pay attention.

I normally don't highlight any issues I have on yelp and save my posts for great experiences, however I'd like this to be a good learning lesson. There needs to be training done for hosts in regard to being aware and their attentiveness. She was very friendly. However when she filled the water glasses, she spills on the table and doesn't say anything nor does she wipe it down. Food was great and service was awesome but this was something that I found odd. I used to be a host and server when I was younger and I currently oversee businesses. I also like to use my personal experience as learning lessons to my employees, by teaching them to be observant, alert, and aware. Unfortunately this is something I will have to add to my list of unpleasant restaurant experiences that I will share.

TL;DR: a great place for a celebratory meal. Food is fresh and carefully prepared. Parking: shared lot, can be pretty busy and full during peak hours. Atmosphere: upscale diner feel. Service: reservations highly recommended, wait to be seated, order at the table, you will be watered, if you are celebrating something you will receive a complimentary card and a treat, check brought to you. Menu: photo-less but lists what you will receive when you order the item. The food here is legit. Nothing is overcooked or under cooked and everything tasted fresh out of the kitchen. Bravo! *slow claps*

Met a friend here for lunch on a weekday at 11:30am. It was quite busy; I was glad we had made reservations. Service was quick and very attentive. There were a lot of plants and windows, and a sort of urban industrial meets farmhouse maximalism decor. They have an upscale, brunch-type menu, with lots of options on the breakfast and lunch side of things. I went with the house berry lemonade and the Brunch Burger with fries. My friend had the breakfast burrito. My lemonade was delicious, not too tart and not too sweet. The burger was awesome; super yummy with bacon, a fried egg and layers of additional flavor from a tomato jam and garlic aioli. Swiss cheese and greens rounded out a rich, well executed burger. The fries were skinny and crisp, very tasty. My friend's burrito was a hit too, served wet style with what looked like a green chile sauce. This was a great choice for a brunch-y lunch catching up with good friend.

Wow!! What an amazing experience. I came in on a Tuesday morning around 9am. I asked to be seated out in the courtyard patio area. I was the only one out there. Senenecca my waitress did a wonderful job of getting me something to drink and taking my order. I pretty much knew what I wanted before I got there as I had seen the chicken fried steak already on Yelp reviews and was really wanting that. I must have had the best service ever. The busboy came out and asked me if I wanted a coffee. They came to refill my water a few times. They even gave me for a first time customer the donuts with a sweet strawberry sauce on them. I had one prior to them delivering my chicken fried steak. The chicken fried steak came out with a really good gravy over the top along with some chopped up potato chunks that I think were deep fried. I got some ketchup and some hot sauce along with a couple eggs over medium. Everything was delicious and it was great experience. I cannot wait to go there again and try the omlette or the eggs Benedict. I really liked the hostess. I did not get her name but as soon as I walked in she met me at the front podium and asked me for a table or at the bar. I asked if I could go outside and she said sure and immediately poured me a glass of water and led me outside. She was a pleasure to talk with for the short time we spoke. She even delivered the donuts Try this place out. You will like it..

On a busy lunch in the weekend, we were able to be seated immediately after coming in. We've been here one other day and the first time my boyfriend and I came in we were welcomed with abuelita's doughnuts. Their berry compote was tart with the powdered sugar balancing out the sweetness. I got their house Benedict and their sauce was creamier than what I'm used to but still delicious. Their gravy was also packed with flavor. I enjoy my experience each time I come back.

Gluten-free review We've ended this place a few times and these are the pictures I can find but we love this place. It's delicious. They have gluten-free. The service is great and the ambience is a thumbs up for me. The pancakes were yummy and I was so happy to have the option. The breakfast burger was absolutely divine!! Please go try it. It's delicious.

For my 1,000 review, I wanted someplace special and Cecilia did not disappoint. It was our 41st wedding anniversary and we were promptly seated without a reservation. The service staff asked if we were there for a special occasion and we told them it was our anniversary and they brought us some complimentary ricotta doughnuts. 5/5 for the service and the doughnuts. Then venue is upscale worthy of a special occasion. I got the short rib chilaquiles $23 and it was very good 5/5. Definitely in the top 4 in the PDX metro. Pretty generous portion too. The Bloody Mary was good too. The Couve needed an upscale Portlandia style brunch place and Cecilia is it. Yeah, Lapella was a huge pandemic loss but now we have Cecilia. Being a senior living on a pension during these inflationary times, I usually eat at home for brunch. You know, eggs, bacon and Korean ramen. LOL Hey, it's really tasty. BUT, for a special occasion CECILIA IS THE ONE!!! Check it out.

First time for breakfast here. Our server was super friendly and told us his top three recommendations. We sat at a long table meant for walk in customers. I ordered the steak and eggs it was cooked to perfection.

    THE DONUTS!

Just moved to the area. On the hunt for a nice (bougie) breakfast / brunch location. Actually saw a YouTuber review of Cecilia. First impressions was the decor was funky, but familiar - chandeliers in the entry were adorbs. Had the famed donuts - so very good - warm jam was outstanding. Then had the Chilaquiles - now this dish is complex - and so much *could* go wrong - soggy tortillas - bland sauce - tough meat. Cecilia's rendition knocked my taste buds out of the park - The short rib was flavorful, tender, and oh so delicious - the meat could have been on a plate by itself, and it would have been dreamy - the eggs were done wonderfully - the tortillas still had some crunch to them - the sauce was outstanding and complimentary, avocados were fresh and perfect. The coffee was also very delicious. KT / Katie was our server, this was the first time we had visited, she made the whole visit perfect from start to finish. Will ask for her by name.

Great service and nice atmosphere inside. Outside you are in a grocery store strip mall. The food was good/ok and wasn't hearing anyone really rave about their meal. I got the halibut fish and chips and the batter was heavy and nothing special. It said beer battered but had no flavor at all. I normally love halibut but it was just lost in this thick batter. So for the price try something else. The Parmesan fries were good. If I lived nearby I might try it again and pick another dish.

One of the more bustling brunch places in Vancouver. It's usually packed on weekends so you'll want to make a reservation in advance. The service is always stellar, with waitstaff checking in constantly. The food comes hot, flavorful, and fresh. The ambiance is lively and upbeat, exactly as you'd expect at a popular brunch spot.

Cecilia is a wonderful brunch spot. Been here multiple times & the food and service are amazing! You really can't go wrong with anything off the menu- I've had their fried chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, you name it... everything is delicious! Not to mention, it's also decorated so fabulous.

First of all, parking here on a Friday for lunch was a huge pain in the arse. Parked at the Fred Meyer close by and didn't have any issues. First time coming to Cecilia's and it was hoping. My friend and I got the chiliqualies or hower you spell it and it was delicious. The meat on top was the seller. Wasn't as fond of the red sauce, I guess my palate prefers green. Other friend got the chicken fried steak. We both like diner food and this was a little bit bougier than that. Waitress was on point. I would come here again and try something else. Wait time was 30 min for part of 3 but we were seated within 15 min.

When I went back to the counter to ask how to start playing, the bartender told me it was $5 per person to access the games and that guests needed to consistently order drinks to maintain access. Honestly, that seemed fair to me. However, things quickly went downhill. I offered to pay the game fee, but was told I needed to buy drinks first. I explained we had just bought drinks--he had literally served us minutes earlier. His response: "You need to have an open tab, and we won't let you play unless you order more." At that point, the experience soured. The staff felt dismissive and unwelcoming throughout the interaction. Despite already spending money, we were denied access to what we came for. We finished our drinks--which, for some reason, didn't count--and left. This was my first visit, and unfortunately, likely my last. I didn't take many photos because there were enough people there that I didn't want to infringe on privacy. They have a happy hour from open until 5pm. We arrived at 4:30 and had no problem getting a table. The happy hour has food and drink specials. We ordered the gin gimlet and the Paloma to drink and the chicken nugz Nash style and the fries. I was impressed by their drink menu--there's something for everyone. The chicken nugz were that standout--moist chicken breast and great crunch on the outside. The Nash sauce was spicy/sweet and there was a ranch dipping sauce. The basket of nugz was huge! Definitely enough for 2-3 people. The fries were okay. Intentionally set earlier in the day understanding the significance of the day. (Been together over 20 years.) When we arrived my husband kindly requested a window table with view of the water. The woman taking the reservation info advised that she would try, but "so busy" etc. We were sat at a half circular booth that was facing water but set back from water. I just want to note there were 7 tables open at window seating. 3 of which were 2 tops. We did have 3, so essentially for us, 4 EMPTY tables could have accommodated our request. 2 remained empty the entirety of our meal. So I just can't understand why this request wouldn't be granted. Waitress we were assigned was amazing. On top of things, refills etc. We got the wing appetizer, cheese curds, and the wedge salad as appetizers. They were all good. The wings I would get with no sauce. The sauce on them was very ketchup reminiscent. For the entrees we both did the steak frites. Fries were amazing. The steak was sooooo tough. Medium rare didn't save them. Our child got the half pizza and demolished. For dessert we got the cookie with ice cream and the valentines special cheesecake. Both were delicious. Overall 3.5. Could use some help at front. If you don't realize you have that many free tables and could easily accommodate a paying customer the table they prefer, it just simply doesn't make sense. At the end, I did ask manager why we wouldn't be able to sit where we requested and there really was just no good reason. It was just a shrug like it was a busy day. Like I guess maybe saving for make believe guests?? LOL unreal. It's not often I would question things. But this was just absurd. Again, I need to say, our waitress was amazing. Food was fine. Just a very weird experience as far as seating. Like who are you saving those seats for?? Anywho. Enjoy!
