One of the more bustling brunch places in Vancouver. It's usually packed on weekends so you'll want to make a reservation in advance. The service is always stellar, with waitstaff checking in constantly. The food comes hot, flavorful, and fresh. The ambiance is lively and upbeat, exactly as you'd expect at a popular brunch spot.

Their menus (lunch/brunch, dinner) change every few months. Some items stay, some are taken off and replaced with new offerings. And, sometimes, they will create a new variation of an existing food. Service is relatively consistent (good), with the servers being very friendly and attentive, no matter how busy the restaurant is. They (used to?) have complimentary Habuelas Doughnuts for first time visitors and people celebrating a special occasion (birthday, anniversary, etc). They still do that for special occasions, but maybe they have stopped doing it for 1st time visitors, because three server asked if we had been there before... I said "I have, but this is my friend's first time." The table next to us got free birthday doughnuts, but my friend did not. I strongly recommend reservations, even mid-week! They are very busy all the time.

What an amazing place! They are busy and I see why. Menu is fantastic and food is even better. On this day Bestie, mini bestie and me had brunch here during the holidays last year lol 27th 2025 Dec! We all tried the brunch burger! It was delicious. No complaints here. The ambiance was wonderful. I can't wait to try everything on this menu. If you know; that these are the same owners as Amaro's Table. If you've never been it's another fantastic place. It's a must try downtown Vancouver. Shout out to your team Cece's ya'll are killing the restaurant industry here in my hometown. Love it!!!!!!!!! If I could give you 10 stars. I would.

Let me start with the ambience, it is gorgeous inside. The chandeliers bring a very nice touch, it's a vibe. The open kitchen view is great. The bar is great. The big windows are fantastic, they bring a beautiful natural light in. The food from start to finish was delicious. We ordered the Tres leches French toast to share and every bite was perfect plus four other plates that included the chilaquiles. The freshly squeezed orange juice delicious! It was four of us and we enjoyed it very much. The service is phenomenal. They were really on top of everything, very polite, great energy our waitress was amazing. Completely recommend it and if you can in advance make reservations.

We were lucky to be able to make a reservation here on short notice. Was visiting with family from out of town. I recommended this location. I had heard of it, but had not tried it yet. Great choice. First of all you must order the breakfast appetizer - abuelita's doughnuts. You may end up ordering two. Sooooo good. I ordered the seafood omelette, which was outstanding. My neice ordered the house benedict. Let's just say she VERY happy with her choice. They were very busy, being a holiday weekend. The service was very good. Our waiter Cody did a great job. The seating and ambiance was very comfortable. Would highly recommend.

I came here for brunch on a weekend, and it was busy. Luckily a reservation was made here. It was my first time trying Cecilia's. We got the abuelita's doughnuts to share, and I got a fried chicken & waffle. The doughnuts are ricotta doughnuts with a berry compote and powdered sugar on top. The donuts on the inside are very soft and moist, definitely recommend. For the fried chicken & waffle, the chicken was fried perfectly and had perfect amount of seasoning on it. The waffle was fluffy as well. In addition to the dishes, also tried their house berry lemonade which had a mix of berries in the lemonade. It was not too sweet and a bit tart which I liked. Overall, very good experience here and will come back.

Took a few friends with me and had the pasta al funghi and the roasted carrots. The pasta was good but overload of pancetta which I left quite a bit behind. Service and ambience was pleasant as always.

Last night in Portland and we were looking for something not to heavy for dinner. We found this great restaurant right across the bridge in Vancouver. I would give this place five stars on the service alone. They were very charming and accommodating to make sure we had an enjoyable experience. We first started of with the seared scallops appetizer that was their special that evening which was a hit. We also tried the roasted carrots which were surprisingly really good. My daughter and I decided to share the halibut fish and chips and a Cesar salad. We did not asked them to do this for us but the split both of the orders for us and provided each of us with our own sides. Their chicken and waffles were very good and their clam chowder was really good with a light broth and large clams. Being our first time here, they gave us their signature donut desert. The doughnuts were very similar to an Okinawan doughnut. I will definitely be back here next time I'm in Portland.

Cecilia is a serving a very memorable brunch experience in Vancouver. It setting a new standard for morning dining in the area. The atmosphere is gorgeous, trendy, and welcoming, but the food is the star of the show. If you like Bloody Marys then I would highly recommend ordering their spicy version. It's expertly mixed, perfectly seasoned, and delivers a fantastic, noticeable kick. I drained that thing in record time. For food, the French Toast is truly divine. It is a huge portion of melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Iit's something you'll want to order for the table and share so you can try other delicious items. The service is exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff who make the entire experience feel special. Go treat yourself!

    Garden Hash minus peppers

My BF is a big Amaro's Table fan and so is my coworker who is very picky,so I know the chef caliber is probably similar for their Cecilia restaurant as well. It's in an upscale urban mall with a very clean, happy, hipster vibe. We sat at the bar to avoid a 30 minute wait on a Saturday morning. Everyone was shockingly cheerful and happily took our order, answered questions and refilled his ubiquitous Sprite. I had given up my idea of seafood that day because he was looking forward to trying the Tres Leches French Toast so you know what he ordered. I impulsively picked the Garden Hash with no peppers. We've tried several French Toast in Vancouver since we got here about 4 years ago and this was one of the best, he said. I had a mouthful and it was good. The bread was sliced very thick and it didn't seem soaked with any milks so I wasn't sure what qualified it as Tres Leches. My hash had fried potato cubes, with butternut squash, my two over medium eggs and hollandaise sauce. It was good, but it could have used a different texture in the potatoes to differentiate it from the squash. I'm not at all convinced it was $18 good, but I'd come back if my BF wanted his FT.

What a cute spot for breakfast/brunch. Came by and was impressed. Inside is so beautiful!!! 20' ceilings with hanging light fixtures and chandeliers all over. Cute bar for all your drink needs. Was equally impressed with their service. Received a warm greeting and was asked if I had ever been here before. I told them it was my first time. Server took my order and in addition to my order they also brought me an order of donuts FREE since it was my first time coming! I ordered the tres leches French toast. It was delicious and topped with fresh fruit and whipped cream. Also ordered a side of bacon and it was some of the BEST bacon I have ever had (and I am a bacon snob)!!! This place is a gem! Have them bookmarked and will be back when my travels take me to the area!

We finally got to Cecelia to try their dinner. Note--they no longer serve happy hour. We sat in a booth in the bar and ambiance is lovely. Except, why do they have a tv with a football game on? Doesn't seem like the vibe. It wasn't very busy on a Sunday evening at 6:30, but we had made a reservation and were sat immediately. Our server was Brittany, the bartender. She was excellent! Knowledgeable about the menu and made fantastic cocktails. I had the Ondine and the hubs had the espresso martini, both were delish! We split the scallop appetizer and the mushroom pasta with grilled chicken. The scallops came with four and I cannot say enough about the flavors and seasoning--divine!!! Seared to perfection! They split the pasta onto two plates for us and forgot the chicken, so Brittany made sure they brought an extra serving for us, such excellent customer service! I had enough left over for lunch tomorrow. The pasta was very good too. Brittany then brought us a plate of their signature doughnuts, which were delicious, as well! A great spot for a date night!

It was 10 minutes before I went home to the bar to ask for something different - no one came by to ask how things were. The guava choice I picked for the second - not good. Watered down flavors of who knows. The drinks at Wahi Hanna are amazing in comparison - especially with the Dole Whip vibe. The spam fries were $9 for half a can of spam cut up and put in the oven with a side of mayo? The loco moco was promising but tasted like something you'd get at Kenjis - not a Hawaiian spot. I feel like with a lot of tweaks in flavor - this could be a great spot.

Unfortunately this time, we left very disappointed. My wife has a sensitivity to spicy foods. Upon ordering appetizers for the table, we asked if any of them (that had a spicy description on the menu) had the option to have the sauce on the side. She proceeded to ask how the scallops were and went ahead with that order. There was absolutely no description of having any spicy component on the menu nor any mention by the server. Upon her first bite of the risotto, she went into a severe coughing fit :( I tasted it and acknowledged how spicy it was. She proceeded to just eat the scallops. We were mostly done when the waiter came to check on us ... My wife asked if the dish is typically spicy. Response was "oh yes" ... It was completely lost on us why he wouldn't have mentioned that to her upon ordering knowing how she questioned the appetizers. His offer at this point was a new meal .. which was nice but we were mostly done. There really wasn't much in the way of sincerity beyond that. It seems the right thing to have done was offer my wife (celebrating her birthday) who didn't enjoy her meal ... maybe a comp'd drink or maybe a dessert (no acknowledgment of her birthday at all. When you spend north of $300 ... Disappointing to say the least. Upon leaving, I decided to just express my concern to the hostess and suggested adding the spice level of this specific entree to the menu. I reaffirmed my wife didn't get to fully enjoy her meal. I received a lukewarm "thanks for letting us know." The worst part of the whole experience was a manager/owner type was a few steps behind her, made eye contact and was fully aware i had an issue and made absolutely no attempt to come over and address the complaint. I no longer blame the waiter for his lack of concern knowing it flows from the top. We all go out and spend top dollar at nice restaurants for good food but also, for service and the experience. The restaurant has been opened awhile and maybe is established enough where this isn't as much of a priority as it was early on. In contrast, we went out the night before to a more established fave restaurant of ours in Portland (Ava Genes). Had an incredible meal, incredible experience, and uber attentive service. They even went the extra mile and made a big deal that we chose them to celebrate. Ended our evening with a simple complimentary scoop of gelato/candle. It was a nice touch. Certainly didn't mind spending the $$$ for that evening. I wouldn't dissuade anyone from trying The Cove if they've never been (I'm hopeful they just had a bad night) ... but there are so many good choices out there, it will most certainly make us think twice before going back.

The atmosphere and theme is really cool, so it's a shame how the owner treats people. We were prepared to reserve a table for a birthday hangout, but their website stated they no longer do reservations. Which is fine, we were prepared to change plans if it didn't work out. 4 of us arrived just before max capacity was reached, and it was admittedly pretty busy. However, 2 members of our group were running a bit behind, and arrived after the bar had put up a "capacity reached" sign. Since we made sure to get a big table, and we still had a couple of empty seats, we asked if it would be okay for our friends to join us when they finally arrived. They said this would not be possible. When our friends finally did arrive, the bar had cleared out considerably (under half of the tables were being used). Our friends approached the counter and asked if it was okay for them to join us since it was a lot emptier now. They were told they were not welcome, and that we should have reserved a table if we wanted to guarantee a spot for everyone. When we told them we had tried to reserve a table beforehand, but they no longer do reservations, the owner admitted this was correct (and that he had lied to our faces). We asked how long our friends would need to wait, and we were told it would likely be hours before they could reassess capacity (mind you, it had cleared out considerably since we had arrived, and no one was even at the bar ordering drinks). I think they just wanted us to leave, because the owner also accused one of our group members of being "abrasive" to the staff earlier in the night. All of us are mild mannered people pleasers, who have always tipped well and treated the staff with respect every time we've visited. We were not going about this interaction expecting special accomodations, or going in with an entitled attitude by expecting them to let our friends in. We were respectful, didn't express annoyance at the situation, or try to be difficult in any way, and were fully prepared to go elsewhere if things didn't work out. Nothing we did warranted the hostile treatment the owner was giving us, so it was really off-putting to treated in such a way. We left pretty shortly after this, and even went up and apologized to the owner in case we had made their night more difficult, and were met with the same snarky, hostile attitude from earlier. If you look at the way the owner responds to other negative Google reviews, it will kind of give you an idea of how we were treated. I don't know if we just caught them on a bad night, or what, but I hope they figure out whatever it is they have going on in their lives.

Intentionally set earlier in the day understanding the significance of the day. (Been together over 20 years.) When we arrived my husband kindly requested a window table with view of the water. The woman taking the reservation info advised that she would try, but "so busy" etc. We were sat at a half circular booth that was facing water but set back from water. I just want to note there were 7 tables open at window seating. 3 of which were 2 tops. We did have 3, so essentially for us, 4 EMPTY tables could have accommodated our request. 2 remained empty the entirety of our meal. So I just can't understand why this request wouldn't be granted. Waitress we were assigned was amazing. On top of things, refills etc. We got the wing appetizer, cheese curds, and the wedge salad as appetizers. They were all good. The wings I would get with no sauce. The sauce on them was very ketchup reminiscent. For the entrees we both did the steak frites. Fries were amazing. The steak was sooooo tough. Medium rare didn't save them. Our child got the half pizza and demolished. For dessert we got the cookie with ice cream and the valentines special cheesecake. Both were delicious. Overall 3.5. Could use some help at front. If you don't realize you have that many free tables and could easily accommodate a paying customer the table they prefer, it just simply doesn't make sense. At the end, I did ask manager why we wouldn't be able to sit where we requested and there really was just no good reason. It was just a shrug like it was a busy day. Like I guess maybe saving for make believe guests?? LOL unreal. It's not often I would question things. But this was just absurd. Again, I need to say, our waitress was amazing. Food was fine. Just a very weird experience as far as seating. Like who are you saving those seats for?? Anywho. Enjoy!

My partner and I came here for our anniversary, and overall, the food was fantastic. We tried three…read moredifferent kinds of bruschetta: the tomato basil (top), apple fig (middle), and Brie, pear, and cranberry (bottom) all of them were absolutely divine. The hummus plate, served with fresh veggies and pita, was also excellent. For drinks, I had a cocktail (I can't remember the name), and my partner ordered a whiskey sour; both were very good. However, the atmosphere left something to be desired. The music felt out of place and quite loud, which made the space feel a little uneasy. Additionally, while the lighting itself isn't bad, at the night time it was a bit too bright and somewhat took away from the beauty of the waterfront view at night. If you're coming here for a view, go in the daylight because you won't see anything in the night time unfortunately. It's just too bright inside I think dimming the lights slightly would help create a more inviting, intimate ambiance and allow the view to shine. But it just felt over distracting between the music and lights and just window reflections at night and no view which is what I was hoping to see. With a few adjustments to the lighting this Taphouse could really make the most of its incredible location and provide an experience that matches the quality of the food. Work on the harsh subtracting lighting and create more ambiance ! This food and view is so pretty it needs it to match.
