Oh Amaro's, how you have our heart! Amaro's Table is a regular for us, we eat at one of their locations at least twice a week. First, all their locations are lovely. Warm, inviting, comfortable, and usually noise appropriate. Second, their menu is solid... they know what they do well and they stick to it. You never find the random "daily special" that is half-hearted... everything they do, they do a supurb job at. Their prices are always on-point and I'd be danged if they aren't our favorite late-night reverse-happy-hour. Excellent menu with great options for those of us who like dinner a litter later than most. Drinks are on-point, they make a great martini! We highly recommend Amaro's Table to anyone looking for a good solid meal. This is one of the places we always take guests knowing that we'll have a good time and excellent meal. read more

Another lovely experience at Amaro's! Love this hospitality company and their affiliates, Gustav's and Cecilia's. They all have such an inviting and cozy atmosphere. Employees are always welcoming and friendly. I also appreciate that all their locations accept reservations that can be made online. We came in for lunch on a Sunday. It wasn't too busy around 11:30am, but by noon it was filling up fast! The host greeted us when we walked in, and seated us right away. Our server asked us if we were celebrating anything before she took our drink order. The service here is so nice! We ordered the calamari appetizer (yum!) and Caesar salads with chicken for our entrees. I ordered the grilled chicken and my husband ordered the fried chicken. Both were delicious! My only complaint this visit was the Caesar salad dressing. It tasted different than what I've had in the past here. I always order their Caesar salad because their dressing is delicious; not too fishy or tangy. This time it was super tangy with a strong vinegar flavor. I ate all the salad on the top, but the base was drowning in it. Luckily my husband likes vinegar so he ate the rest of my salad. I would have sent it back, but it didn't hit the point of inedible for me until more than halfway through it. I definitely couldn't eat another whole salad. I'm not sure if they changed the ingredients, but I'd be hesitant to order it again. They have plenty of other delicious options on their menu, so it might be time to try something new! I write many Yelp reviews, and less often encounter a five-star restaurant. But Amaro's Table is just that. We arrived during the peak dinner hour and were met with friendly staff. There was a necessary wait, but not more than 10 minutes. (Staff said 20). The decor of the restaurant is impressive. When we ordered the beet salad we said that we were going to share it. I expected a single salad for us both to pick at. But no, the salad was nicely split onto two separate plates. Reviewers had said that the fried chicken dinner was great. It was a chicken breast, so hubby was expecting something tough, but he ordered it anyway and was not disappointed. It was fried in a unique way and was both tender and flavorful. While waiting for our food to arrive, we looked up, on the internet, the brand of the sharp cutting knife hubby was given for the chicken- the retail price is over $100! The mashed potatoes and the coleslaw were delicious and prepared in a simple way that complemented the chicken. Hubby asked about gravy and was offered a side of Marsala sauce, which was delicious but unnecessary. I had the BBQ Pork Ribs. I didn't want the Mac & Cheese that came with it, and asked if I could have fries. Mashed Potatoes, OK. And Cole Slaw. I loved the mashed potatoes with the ribs, actually, that's a first in such a long time, that I appreciate having mashed potatoes that night! As for the Ribs, we went out on a road trip, and I brought what was left over, and ate it in the car, along with other stuff we brought with us. It was fun and still finger-likin' good! Our server, Tanya, was as friendly and helpful as could be throughout the meal. For dessert, we took a tiramisu home- had it the next day with our lunch. Yummy. But before we left our seats we were presented with a complementary plate of Ricotta 'donuts' in the form of baseballs that were superb. (For first time visit). Lovely place. A bit of a wait to get in at 12:45 (15 mins ?) but that's perfectly understandable. Our server, Valerie, was exceptional; awesome personality, very knowledgeable about the menu and possible exchanges that could be made, and she kept our water glasses full. She also made recommendations that were very helpful. It took quite a long time to get our order, but Valerie didn't keep us in the dark; she updated us twice on the status which we appreciated. And again, they were very busy with the usual customers plus tables filled with people having holiday get-togethers, so I'm not going to reduce my rating this time. I had the steak sandwich, having the spicy peppers omitted, and it was quite tasty. Steak was very tender. One of my companions had the meatloaf and said it was very good. It's wrapped in bacon so of course it was good! Another had the chicken with sun-dried tomatoes. This was also very much enjoyed. The little one with us wanted "pasta" so Valerie recommended we order the kids macaroni and cheese and have the cheese held; they buttered the macaroni instead, serving Parmesan on the side and they liked it very much. The meatloaf and chicken portions were very generous, certainly enough to share between two people with smaller appetites. Amaro's Table is a very bread-and-butter American dining experience. They have sandwiches, salads, steak, chicken marsala, and pasta. It doesn't seem like there is one particular food focus here. I got one of the sandwiches with fries, and the portions are massive. Definitely enough for (almost) 2 meals. Food is delicious. I do notice that some of their main dishes (steak, etc) are on the pricer side, $26-40. The place was also packed on Wednesday around lunch, which indicates its popularity. Overall, not bad, but not memorable. I personally would not return because of the prices, but would recommend it to those who want a casual place to eat with a large variety of options. read more

Cozy mom and pop feel, and during lunch, there was a mix of older ppl with local businesses. Clearly a local community favorite and I know why. There is plenty of parking, just a little tight if you have a larger vehicle. Bar is in the center of the restaurant and large windows for a nice sunny day view. Outdoor seating with a tarp covering. Ordered the ricotta and fig appetizer that can feed 4-6 ppl. The chicken sandwich comes with caramel sauce that gives it a different flavor per my wife. I requested it in the side and happy I did as it was too sweet. Sandwich was excellent without it and wife enjoyed it as well. The wagu fried chips are highly recommended as your side. Stop by if you are in the area, highly recommend this restaurant. Manager dropped off a dessert for our first time visit which was the ultimate touch to their wonderful service and food. read more

The ambience was lovely at 5pm. Towards 6pm it became really busy. Not a bad thing. But packed. If you think the pictures look great, the taste of each dish is even better. I always go to the Hazel Dell location because I hate having to look for parking downtown. And I don't like having to pay for parking. We came to celebrate my husband's birthday for dinner. Amaro's Table gave us a special treatment! We balanced our meal starting with an ahi crostini, fresh and tasty. We wanted to try this place after having a good experience at their sister restaurant, Hi‑Hopes Cafe. Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to expectations. We were a group, so a mandatory 20% gratuity was added--which normally implies a certain level of service. That simply didn't happen. I understand it was a busy Saturday night, but service shouldn't disappear entirely just because the tip is guaranteed. My better half ordered the pork chop and really enjoyed it. I ordered the meatloaf special, which was a different story. It arrived extremely dry--both the meatloaf and mashed potatoes--and could have used butter or extra sauce right away. I took a few bites, set my fork down, and waited for our server to check in. And waited... and waited. For 45 minutes, no one came by. I sat there while everyone else finished their meals, hoping for a simple check-in that never happened. That's not 20% service. When the server finally returned--with the dessert menu--and asked about boxes, I mentioned I'd take mine home but that it was very dry. Her response was simply "oh," and she walked away. No offer to fix it, no follow-up, no concern. With a mandatory gratuity, there's no incentive to go above the bare minimum--and unfortunately, that's exactly what this felt like. Tipping used to reflect service. In this case, it felt like we were locked into paying for something we didn't receive. Maybe I just got the one bad meal out of the group, but between the food and the lack of service, it was disappointing. When you're spending around $100 for dinner, you expect a better experience. There are plenty of great dining options out there--this one won't be on my list moving forward. read more

I would recommend reservations as they were very busy. The waitress was amazing and quick to get our order and was on top of every need. The food came out hot and was extremely flavorful. I've had reservations two times, and only been here once times! This place was HIGH on my list to try's, and ended up with covid one of the times, and didn't want to put people through that! I came here for my birthday last year and that chicken Marsala with mash potatoes was HOME sweet home cooking for me. I had one bite, two bite, OK you had me at one bite! It was creamy, flavorful, and delicious. I was super excited to have finally came! And, my cousin and I had a blast. And then the donuts, just get the donuts, no room for donuts, well you should probably still get the donuts! Alllll I remember was the donuts! So get those! Love coming to Amaro's. From their food to cocktails it's all so good. Service is always great whenever I go. I definitely recommend making a reservation if possible. Sometimes dinner can be very busy and that will result in a wait to be seated. Love that they have elevated the appearance of the restaurant with it previously being an Apple bee's. Cute and classy now. My friend and I split the daily risotto which was on a Saturday, it was a creamy Cajun chicken risotto. It was so delicious and they offered fresh cracked pepper when serving it to us. We also got the fried Brussel sprouts, that's a staple for us. Can't forget the corn fritters, so good and the honey butter is divine. The fritters were perfectly fried and not too dense. We got a seasonal cocktail, espresso martini and lemon drop. So happy Amaro's has this Hazel Dell location since their downtown Vancouver spot is pretty small and fills up quickly. I love that they have a nice mix of starters, salads, sandwiches, and entrees using seasonal, local ingredients as much as possible. I had the Cirtus glazed salmon for dinner. It was excellent, best salmon I've had in a while I ate the whole plate. My family all enjoyed their meals (except the pork chop-didn't get rave reviews.). Amaros never disappoints! We came for my birthday and I forgot photos until I was half way through my blackened salmon risotto, which was delicious. My family had cheeseburgers and fries. They even brought extra fries when they realized the ones we got were the end of the basket. We also got a club sandwich with their homemade chips! *UPDATE* While the steak sandwich continues to dazzle my BF, I've had no luck with this place after the burger. French dip was mostly gristle and awful. I had to toss the meat and au jus was indescribably salty. The latest mediocrity was the seasonal ragu with pappardelle and garlic bread. The bread was good but the pasta was a little too sweet and too salty at the same time. It was also very greasy and I had to do my best to choke it down before my flight. I might try a couple more times so he can enjoy his steak, but I'm running out of options that appeal. read more

This is by far my favorite place in the 'Couve! Cheese fondue, Brussels sprouts, corn fritter appetizers all delicious. But seriously the cheese fondue with a warm pretzel is the best fondue I have ever had. Flavorful not stringy, excellent consistency and great garlic accented flavor. Every time I go, it's great good. Consistent, delicious and a good variety. The waiting staff is always friendly but they could be more efficient. Anyone with a pitcher should never walk by an empty water glass. Parking lot is tight but there's plenty of room around the area to park. Great bar, good drinks, oh and the desserts...Forget about it! Ricotta doughnuts every time! I enjoyed it. We ordered in for my brothers birthday. My SIL did a dip but had no au jus. She had corn fritters and they were pretty tasty. My bro did the steak sando and said it was good. I did the red wine short ribs w mashed and the Brandied apple crisp. It was hearty and filling. You could taste the red wine but it was just the right amount. It was all solid and flavorful. The dessert was also tasty. It was enough to make me try something else there but I wouldn't go out of my way. I'd try a new place first, but everything was good for what it was. read more
