The service was friendly but very scattered and chaotic--the food arrived at a weird, uneven pace for our party of four. Did a phone order for takeout on a Saturday night. When I walked in, it wasn't super busy but I waited about 10 minutes for my food. I had about $66 worth of food that I ordered, so not an insane amount considering most items are $20+ each. The workers were very friendly but extremely disorganized. I requested lettuce for a mini stack kids burger which it did not come with. Additionally the slider combo came with a choice of shake. I didn't realize they forgot my shake until I was about 20 minutes out driving back home. It was very frustrating since I even waited and saw them looking at the receipt multiple times before giving me my to go order. Two of the sliders even tasted the same which doesn't make sense because I got the stack 571, fatted sow, and poutine and I could barely tell them apart. I would rather go to Red Robin than here especially since they didn't even get my order right. Maybe dining in is a better option. It's at a prime location on the waterfront but that also means parking is kind of hard. I have a gift card so I'm coming back but if I didn't have that gift card, I would not be back. read more

This place was sooo good ! Holy cow! We were visiting from out of town and wanted to stop by the river walk and I'm so glad we found this place! I'm still dreaming about it a whole day later! The food was fantastic! The waffle fries were perfectly salted and crispy. The truffle fries were also amazing! We tried the Jimi dog which I was slightly weary of as I am from the area with the best bbq in the US, but wow I was simply blown away ! My boyfriend tried the queso dog and said it was the best thing he's ever had! The prices were so good for the massive portion sizes! We couldn't even finish our food! We were seated immediately and the server was attentive and helpful. I had the Stack Burger which was plenty big with traditional toppings. My husband had the monthly featured burger which the server described as the Stack's version of the Big Mac. Much better however! The meat was tasty and well seasoned. The fries were really good too. My wife and I were both excited to try a burger at Stack 571 on Saturday afternoon, June 28th. It was a beautiful day on the Vancouver waterfront to boot. After a brief wait, we got a table for two outside....and there is where the story ends. We sat, and sat, and sat. We painfully watched the tabled next to us, with empty beers, trying to settle up. Decided to come here while waiting for the salt&straw line. The main reason we came here was because it had Dutch crunch! Though it was a disappointment since it just tastes like bread, not sweet not crunchy. The Nashville chicken had too much sauce, the sauce was really overpowering and too much. So it had been about a year since I last had a burger, and I had a hankering for one. My kid and her beau came to this restaurant a few weeks ago and raved about the burgers here, so we decided to come here for my last dinner in Portland, before I headed back home. All I knew about Vancouver, WA was what I saw driving on I-5 heading in or out of Portland, so I was AMAZED at the waterfront here, and the boardwalk, and the array of cool-looking restaurants! Wow, very impressive. And there was a huge parking lot a block away, too, which took a lot of the stress out of parking. Yes, it's a metered parking lot, but the rates are super low. Stack 571 doesn't take reservations, and we were there on a hopping hot summer weekend night, so all the tables were occupied. But there was a table or two free in the bar section, so we were fine to sit there. My daughter's boyfriend raved about his burger last time here, so he ordered exactly the same thing: the Bahn Mi burger and a chop salad. He said he could have this burger every day, it was so good. My kid and I split a small chop salad and the Fatted Sow burger. OMG the burger was to die for. And how nice that they cut it in half for us (sparing us the humiliating butcher job we usually do lol). The salad was still too large for me so I brought it home to have later that night. We dined with one of my kid's friends and she had the same burger she had the week before , too: the PB&J burger. I know, it sounds strange, but she says it's bloody amazing. This place is also known for its milkshakes which they can (and DO!) add alcohol to, if ordered that way. All three members of my dining party had shakes (I was too full to even contemplate having one). They all loved them. Needless to say, we were all too full for dessert, but it looked like they had some fun sweet options. I was really impressed with this place. I see they have other locations in WA state. The food was good, some were better than others. Personal opinion, I thought the calamari was very chewy. I was a bit disappointed with my son's BLT. The lettuce was all brown and it was such a huge chunk of it. The sliced tomatoes were basically the endings of it. We actually took it to go and threw it away. We were originally going to stay for a full meal but decided not to risk any more funny business. I had the "jacked up" waffle fries with pulled pork, bacon, tomatoes, cilantro, and Gorgonzola, and my gosh, it was a gut bomb in the best way. "But that's just an appetizer!" I hear you say. That's true. But it's also most likely my entire daily caloric intake in one single sitting. And it was glorious. The fries were crispy (but not over done), the meat was savory, and the cheese was delicious. Our server was fantastic (I'm sorry I didn't hear your name!), the atmosphere was comfortable and lively (and whoever was in charge of music was ON it-- Rolling Stones et. al was a fanatic choice), and there was always someone checking up on us seeing if we needed refills or something else to eat/drink. Server came over and we ordered everything at once. Drinks took 10 min to get(a beer and a water), then came the appetizer 20 min later(bruschetta). The toast was covered in butter, but the caprese was good. Burgers came out 15 min later, buns had a lot of butter, actually completely covered in it. Patty melt was not great, but not bad. The blue cheese burger seemed to not have any taste of blue cheese in it at all? All in all, not great place and wouldn't care to go back. This is one of our favorite happy hour spots in Vancouver! We always get a boozy milkshake to share, they are creamy and delicious! They have happy hour everyday which is also a huge plus! The prices for happy hour is also great in our opinion. We like to grab 3 items to share. We always get loco moco fries (a favorite)! Came in with my family on Friday night at around 6pm had to wait to be seated because there was only 1 server taking the entire restaurant on a busy Friday night and when we were seated we had to wait again, the host was nice enough to get our appetizer started and drinks. We noticed that there was no manager helping resolve this problem. The staffing on a Friday was poor to say the least. We have been coming in over the years for your great burgers and service and it has always been fully staffed. The host did a great job tonight and the food was good, wish our server could have spent more time with us and not been in such a rush to get to all her other tables. We've lived in the area for several years now and we used to eat at Stacks several times a month. The last 6 or 7 visits have been rough. The main issue is their burgers. They use to be great, but now from a gourmet burger standpoint, they are the worse burgers in Vancouver. They are extremely dry. They do ask you how you'd like it cooked. I don't know why, they are served well done every single time. To give you an idea, the picture I'm providing is suppose to be cooked to medium. Outside of being overcooked, they are some of the driest burgers I've ever had. It seems they've switched the fat content of their ground. There is also no fat in these burgers, hence a dry no flavor burger. So I hope Stack management makes some changes or they will more than likely not survive on the water. read more
