Great burger, waitress we had was a little slow on understanding but burger was pretty damn good

Ate outside with waterfront views. Server was very personable and knowledgeable. I got the bahn mi burger. It was good but missing something... Husband got the French dip burger and it was amazing. Waffle fries were fantastic as well. Our friends had the classic burger and pb&j burger no j, he said it needed the j but otherwise good. We visit the area once or twice a year and will come back to try the other menu items, as well as the boozy milkshakes. read more

Great food, horrible service. The location is great, it's perfect for a summer evening after a stroll through the shops. Alex was our server and she seemed to just be in a bad mood the entire time. Luckily we were in good company and the food made up for her energy, or lack thereof. When we were finished with our meal, she completely disappeared. If they were short staffed, that's one thing but she was taking care of other tables so it didn't make sense. We ended up going to the bar to cash out. So it had been about a year since I last had a burger, and I had a hankering for one. My kid and her beau came to this restaurant a few weeks ago and raved about the burgers here, so we decided to come here for my last dinner in Portland, before I headed back home. All I knew about Vancouver, WA was what I saw driving on I-5 heading in or out of Portland, so I was AMAZED at the waterfront here, and the boardwalk, and the array of cool-looking restaurants! Wow, very impressive. And there was a huge parking lot a block away, too, which took a lot of the stress out of parking. Yes, it's a metered parking lot, but the rates are super low. Stack 571 doesn't take reservations, and we were there on a hopping hot summer weekend night, so all the tables were occupied. But there was a table or two free in the bar section, so we were fine to sit there. My daughter's boyfriend raved about his burger last time here, so he ordered exactly the same thing: the Bahn Mi burger and a chop salad. He said he could have this burger every day, it was so good. My kid and I split a small chop salad and the Fatted Sow burger. OMG the burger was to die for. And how nice that they cut it in half for us (sparing us the humiliating butcher job we usually do lol). The salad was still too large for me so I brought it home to have later that night. We dined with one of my kid's friends and she had the same burger she had the week before , too: the PB&J burger. I know, it sounds strange, but she says it's bloody amazing. This place is also known for its milkshakes which they can (and DO!) add alcohol to, if ordered that way. All three members of my dining party had shakes (I was too full to even contemplate having one). They all loved them. Needless to say, we were all too full for dessert, but it looked like they had some fun sweet options. I was really impressed with this place. I see they have other locations in WA state. This place has been on my list of restaurants to try on the Vancouver Waterfront since it opened. I was craving a burger and heard about their beef and bacon burgers...sounds absolutely delicious to me! We came by around opening time (11:30am). A few tables were occupied, but not too busy yet. The host was going to sit us at a small two top table by a wall, but I immediately asked if we could take a table by the window. He obliged, but not too happily. After reviewing the menu, we decided on the stack 571 burger with waffle parmesan truffle fries (extra $1.95), three pepper bomb burger with fries, miso caramel shake ($3.95 if ordered with burger), and stack 571 hefeweizen. Our server, Kathryn, was awesome! She was helpful, attentive, and accommodating. She noticed I didn't like the shake and removed it from our bill. It was super sweet, and I just couldn't drink it. I didn't really care for the crumbled up donuts in it either. I probably should have chosen one of their more plain shakes... maybe next time. Their burgers were smash burger style. Love how smash burgers have crispy ends on them. Their burger/fry sauce was yummy, too. The fries were good; nice and crispy without grease. My main complaint is how loud it is inside. It became so noisy by 12-12:30 that we couldn't wait to pay and leave. If they could invest in some high booth seating by the windows, it may help with the noise. I thought this place was going to be super gimmicky but boy was I mistaken! Every time we've passed Stack 571, it's been busy so it's always been on my radar. Well, on a Friday evening, I was craving a burger after completing some snow shoeing earlier that day. We arrived around 5:30pm to attempt to beat some crowds and were greeted promptly. Thr hostess explained that the high top chairs are all open seating - which is about 60% of the place! We found ourselves 2 seats at one of the 2 bar tops and once again greeted promptly. Since we arrived so early, we had planned to camp just a little bit and our server was very respectful of our wishes, checking in the right amount and not over bearing. Overall had a surprisingly good experience, food quality and service. I would come back. What we ordered: Food Tempura oyster mushrooms, my SO would have liked JUST the mushrooms although I personally thought the breading was super crispy just lightly breaded, really perfection Bahn mi burger with included fries, ugraded to truffle parmesan. There's fresh jalapeños on this so it does have a little kick Garden chicken salad sub with salmon,super fresh and had the right amount of dressing All items came out fresh and crispy. My only slight nag is that I LOVE french fries and I felt as though I got the bottom-of-the-bag crumbs and were slightly overcooked because of it. We did end up waiting a bit for our entrees but it was okay since we wanted to hang out for a bit anyways Drinks SO ordered 3 different cocktails and I didn't keep track. They aren't really "craft" cocktails or mind-blowing per se but they were strong enough to put him in a chipper mood. I simply asked for a lemonade with Wheatley vodka since I like that vodka and not many folks carry it. Cheers to the Waterfront! It's really coming alive and every time I come down, the area is busy. Parking note: With all the construction and disppearance of lots, parking is starting to become a squeeze. So good. Wildly good. Delicious burgers AND whiskey bar AND boozy shakes? What's not to love. I had the croque madame burger. Probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. And I did the extra for the parmesan truffle fries - do it, it's worth it! We also tried the miso shishitos and the fried green tomatoes. Both unique and delicious in their own ways. The food here is REALLY good. I'm talking delicious. They have outdoor seating, which is great during these warmer months. The service is where they lost points with me. The server never came back to ask how my food was or if I needed anything else, even though I saw him go to other tables and ask. I had to flag him down to get a refill. Well I came in to have a salad served with a twist ...between two buns and a quarter pounder and I got just that . There was a wait to sit inspite of plenty of open spaces .. which I always find annoying but there isn't much one can do about that . The restaurant is spacious and has lots of seating ( which they like to keep empty irrespective of people waiting). Once we settled down we ordered drinks and food all together and the agonizing wait begin . After almost 40 minutes we got our food but still no drinks and all I asked for was a beer. My hubby finally got his Manhattan and after asking for it more than once I finally got my lager. We started with the Burrata appetizer which was amazing and was followed up by one of the best burgers I have had in a long time . The Fatted Sow patty was thick and juicy and well cooked and the condiments and seasoning all worked so well . The fries went very well with the meal . we also got the sesame chicken salad which was just OK but you gotta get your veggies in . I want to say the service was ok because the staff was nice but they were just too darn slow . Our full meal start to finish took us almost 2 hours , everything is slow here which if the food wasn't good would have really annoyed me . Even asking for the bill and paying it took forever . Why are there not more places like this. I left thoroughly bereft that I couldn't eat four burgers in one sitting. I don't think there was one on the menu that I didn't want to try. My sever recommended the pbj. I love pb on a burger. I was doing it before it was cool back at the Bomber! This was all I had hoped for. I'm not sure about the bun. It's a little too soft. Cutting it was definitely a mistake but I'm not sure it would have mattered. Cooked slightly over but still juicy. That I can abide. It was a satisfying but messy burger. Perfect amount of waffle fries. Very tasty even without the hate. It can be done. I was eyeing the loco moco fries at the table across. Next time I'm coming with a group. Came here for dinner for the first time recently and I definitely enjoyed what I got. I got the burger dip, the bread was a crispy top bread and the patty was smashed. I love smashed burgers. It came with a au jus that paired well and I also got the Parmesan truffle fries. The fries were delicious! I now crave them because I'm talking about them. My husband got the big kahuna, he enjoyed it. We also got some good cocktails, I really enjoyed my whiskey sour. The atmosphere was sports bar like with some elegance to a degree, there's a fancy whisky wall. Service was occasionally a little slow but our waitress was very nice and treated us well. Great location. Food was good and the whiskey was very good and strong. The music was great. They played mostly 90s rock. Good stuff I listened to growing up. Service is PAR at best, so don't expect much. I saw the manager walking around thanking people for coming in but didn't come up to my wife and I. No offense taken, this isn't the first or last time this happens to us. The prices were very reasonable considering the location of the restaurant. Stack 571 is a good place to get both drinks & burgers as they have many options. I got the peanut butter & jelly burger & it sounds very strange but it tastes great, it can get a lil messy but it's a good choice for a burger. Me and the lady I was with sat at the bar right in front of bar tender Matt, he was very cool and knowledgeable, he made a few things not on the menu when we asked for him to create something and every drink was good! So my girlfriend came across this place while I was training and she said, "Baby we have to try this place!". She found this place via Yelp, and the photos looked great, while the menu was intriguing as well. Also, it was a beautiful day and this place was on the waterfront. We got seated very quickly and of course we opted for the outdoor view. We talked laughed and zeroed on a few items to eat. She selected the jimmy burger with waffle fries (pictured on the right). While I ordered the fatted sow, that came with regular fries (pictured in the left), I also order the blackberry basil lemonade which was a little sweet but I found delicious (she disagrees and thinks it was perfectly balanced). - Quick note, my girlfriend wants you to know that i am bougie as fuck. This isn't just in reference to my lemonade, but just my everyday life ‍. So the jimmy came with a burger patty and the pulled pork (my woman likes her meat ), you actually have the option of getting all pulled pork FYI. She feels this burger was delicious, the pulled pork had a slight sweetness to it and she loved the crunch from the fried onions. Most would say due to the fact that your hands will def get dirty due to the juiceness of the burger, this isn't prime for a 1st date, however we FULLY disagree (see I'm not bougie). If you can't just have a good time and eat a boss ass burger with this person on your 1st date, we say 86' em!! Although they can opt for one of the healthy bowl options which we can't speak to but they didn't look Nearly as delicious as the burgers. Now, the fatted sow came with bacon, a burning bacon slaw (which I don't normally mess with slaw, but this shit was good!), bacon whiskey jam and a beef and bacon patty. Basically you have to love bacon to appreciate this beast like burger, luckily I do. It was delicious from the beginning to end. We definitely disagree on who had the better burger, I love my bacon, she loves her sweets, this bias carried over into the battle of the fries... waffle fries vs. traditional fries: She ordered the waffle fries, which were recommended by the waitress. While we agreed that the waffles were tasty and perfect cooked (crispy on the outside, potatoey on the inside) the term "waffle" doesn't add to the deliciousness of the fry at all. It's all just ascetics. Meanwhile, the traditional fries, a complete banger. I don't know what the season was (my girlfriend literally said "what seasoning" as apparently she couldn't taste so much as a sprinkle or two of salt), we both agreed they were perfectly cooked and I felt season very nicely. Overall, we were both very happy by our lunch decision. The food was amazing, the service was great (friendly, helpful with menu selections, and prompt). We will definitely be back. read more

Stack 571 is one of our favorite spots and it never disappoints. We've enjoyed our time each visit. Can always count on great service, a good experience and full bellies. You can't go wrong with any of their appetizers. From their Buffalo calamari to their crispy brussel sprouts, there's always something tasty to try. Their burgers definitely pack a punch and it is hard to want to try anything else because they are SO good. The Banh Mi on lettuce is one of our favorites. Any choice you make is a good one. They are all so tasty. Choose your side of fries... we recommend the waffle or the Parmesean truffle. We always say we want to try their famous shakes, we have unlucky timing and the shake machine was down. You can bet we will keep visiting until we get our shake. The food is delicious! The view right on the waterfront is an added bonus. The restaurant itself is not big and it's usually busy, be prepared for a bit of a wait, enjoy the view! Definitely should be or would have been five stars. Unfortunately the service was was so bad, I feel generous giving it three. I won't bore you with the list of our frustrations that night. I will say that the food was so good that we plan on returning and hopefully our server has a better night and I can edit my review.... read more

Once again, we came during happy hour and left happy :) The Brussels sprouts are so strangely delicious with the accompanying marinara-ish sauce, and bacon something or the other on top. I would seriously love to recreate this at home! But I'm not that ambitious so I guess I'll have to just come back here for HH next time I crave a crispy, fried, delicious piece of mini cabbage covered with bacony bits. The chorizo cheese dip was good but a bit overpowering once we had gobbled down all the topping tomatoes that it came with. I think maybe the addition of some tomatoes or salsa IN the chorizo dip would just be faaaaabulous. The chips were tasty and I think fresh? Maybe not but it was great either way. The Buffalo calamari is ridiculously good. The flavor is perfectly balanced, not too overwhelming and not too hidden. It paired wonderfully with the bed of coleslaw it came served on. Don't be like my partner and wait until the end to try the 2 together. He was sad he missed out on a fabulous pairing. Be smart. Don't be like him. The OF special was really tasty but pricey so be sure to ask before ordering a second cocktail. This place is awesome for happy hour. I mean, for all hours, but especially so during HH so yeah. Met my friend here today for lunch. I have been here recently so I recommended that we try it out. We had an outside table which was lovely on a nice day. I recommended that we order the oyster mushrooms and tempura like I had last time. They were really good before. This time they were very underwhelming. The tempura was not crispy and the mushrooms were kind of rubbery. Such a difference from the first time I had them. My friend and I shared a Reuben sandwich. The sandwiches do not come with anything and we decided not to order any fries. The sandwich came to our table on one plate with an extra one on the side. I have never seen such a tiny Reuben sandwich. Also there wasn't much sauerkraut to be tasted and there was no sauce. The cheese was just OK but the wrong kind in my opinion. Not a good experience today here. Maybe just an off day for them. Service was OK. read more

I had a really hard time rating this. I would have preferred a 2.5, but gotta go with whole numbers. So lets start with the positive. their house made sauces are great, and their fries/rings were also really good. Some of the best rings Ive had to be honest. So with that being said, your probably wondering about why the 2 star. They are known for their burgers, and honestly that was the downfall of it. Both my wife and I order different burgers and the best we could say is they were "ok". Its really hard to make a juicy smashed burger, and in this case it was a failure. Both were really dry and relied solely on the topings to give it any sort of juicyness, which wasn't enough to save the burger. If your thing is smashburgers then maybe you will like it, but for me I want a burger that has a good juicy flavor and really good topings together. The only reason we would ever go back would be just to get some sides. read more

The burgers are fantastic! OMG. Each burger has its own blend of meats making the burger itself so flavorful on its own. Then the toppings take it, well, over the top! It's big enough to share or take half home for the next day's lunch or dinner, which is what I did. Located in the new Vancouver Waterfront, the ambiance is warm and inviting. We were there during COVID so we asked to sit outside, which was lovely. Views of the river aren't as stellar as some of the other restaurants since it's across the street, but it's still beautiful and peaceful. Each of us ordered different burgers and everyone loved and raved about their choices. I went all out with the Fatted Sow, which if you eat to many, you will be a fat cow! It has pork mixed with beef in the burger, bacon added on top, bacon whiskey jam and cheese. Unbelievable. Since onion rings are not on all menus, we ordered them to share and they were crisp and delicious. Others at my table ordered the Turkey Club which is unlike any I've ever seen. It was huge, enough for two meals, loaded with flavorful turkey, bacon, lettuce and tomato plus a fried egg! If ooey, gooey egg yolk dripping down your sandwich is your thing, this is your meal. The patty melt was also a hit, served in toasted rye bread and smothered in cheese. The fries come in their own tin pail and are crispy and hot. For a cocktail, I ordered the sage margarita and it's now my new favorite! They do not skimp on the tequila, I mean, you can a actually taste it which is rare! So good I had two! Parking is easy - plenty along the street which is City parking and you pay intill 6pm. If you can't find a spot on the street, there are huge private lots. Make sure you pay and are back before meter runs out as they patrol and ticket. The Vancouver Waterfront is clean and safe, a welcomed respite from a Portland which in these days of "Peaceful Protests" has become a Cuty if lawlessness with a boarded up downtown that looks like a war zone. Sad. Vancouver is the way to go if you want to spend a wonderful evening outside in a beautiful, clean and safe environment. Stack 571 is affordable, has delicious food and excellent service. So the reason I'm giving them 3 stars is not due to good. More like service. It was a Saturday I went up & tried them. There wasn't anyone working the front- kinda whoever caught wind of people waiting. Organization wasn't that great as nobody knew anything about people on the "waiting list." Some were told 15 minute waits & then the next people 1 hour waits... the tables are mostly 4 people, occasional 2-3 and then outside dining. The servers were somewhat confused with their sections because first we had one girl & then the other girl was like that's my table... The food is pretty good! Burgers were not dry, the toppings are pretty bomb, lots of sauce choices for fries. The kids chicken sandwich is alright- little more crispy batter than chicken so that radio is a little off. Their waffle fries are amazing! If I had to go back or not I would go back! read more

So...a gift card brought us here and OH MAN Kathrine at the bar was freakin amazing! ONLY reason they got 5 stars! Now...the manager Cheyenne was AWFUL. 1000% bad attitude and awful from head to toe. We sat at the bar and heard how she talked to the employees and THEN talked to us as the customer. Our bill was almost $400 for drinks and two meals...which was fine but for that amount, the least the manager could do was be kind and accommodating. She should be fired and the owners should evaluate who they allow to be in charge. Disappointment is an understatement. Again, service from the bartender (Kathrine) was an absolute pleasure and I would have paid triple. She even gave us her phone to watch the Oregon Duck game! Kudos to her! read more

We have visited this restaurant many times. The first time was incredible; food, drinks, service - all great. Since then it's been going down hill. We visited again on Wednesday night - probably for the last time - and now it is unbearable. Our server must have been a manager, or something, and her attitude was horrible. We literally waited 15 minutes for one of our kids to get his BOTTLED soda. Other than the gravy fries, all of the food was horrible. Chicken wings over cooked, the sandwiches and burgers were all awful. My wife couldn't even finish her sandwich. The drinks were horrible, the wait time horrible. Although we did have very friendly interactions with some of the other employees, ours was not so pleasant. The only good thing left is the great variety of whiskeys. read more

The kids meal is awesome for $9 but it's a smashed burnt messy piece of meat in between two buttery big buns, comes with fries , a sundae and drink so thumb up I ordered the 3 pepper bomb for $18, geez My brother like always just wants a plain cheese burger and doesn't realize when he gets something that's not on the menu it's customized and they charge for everything. (He is special needs) So he ended up with a plain 571 for $15, plus adding cheese and bacon for another $4. Both burgers were crumbly like, which I guess is the way they make burgers here. I wouldn't really come back, it's a little too expensive for burger and fries. But if you don't care, by all means they gotta pay that river front rent some how! read more

This was a great dining experience! We were down walking the boardwalk and Stack 571 drew us in. It was very quiet at 11:00. We got a nice table by the windows and Aubrey was quick to take our order. She was a great server and took great care of us. We ordered a pair of burgers with the fries. I tried to be healthy and got the gluten free bun. The burger was cooked beautifully, the fried mushrooms were tasty. The bun was a bit crumbly, but it tasted very good. The fries were amazing, even after I was full, I couldn't stop eating them. The fam checked out this burger joint for lunch one Sunday. The vibe was cool, reminding me of a Bozeman restaurant. Because it was midday and we don't want our kids to think we're alcoholics, we didn't get any of the amazing looking cocktails. We ordered the truffle fries and onion rings as starters. The meals are ala carte so this was a great way to start the meal. The truffle fries were good with 3 different t sauces. The onion rings were lightly breaded with the same sauces. Both were decent. The husband and son ordered burgers (one pictured). Son just gets ketchup and lettuce and said the burger was 'just a burger, nothing special.' The husband LOVED his pulled pork burger with the best GF bun he's had. Daughter #1 got the grilled caprese sandwich. Tasked exactly as you'd want it to. D#2 got the pulled pork slider and liked it.
