I love a lively, nice bar - restaurant vibe. This place had that . The view of the river is beautiful, nice outdoor seating. We were there about 6:00 pm and just missed happy hour. One fun drink our table ordered was the smoked old fashioned, great presentation. The appetizers were yummy and good portions . Nice flavor on each app and my favorite were the shrimp. Not too busy considering it was a Saturday evening so it was nice to get seated right away.

Just happen to try this place this morning it was near our hotel. It is located in a boutique hotel on the Vancouver WA board walk. The boardwalk is nothing special but you do have views of the Columbia River. I ordered the steak and eggs and wife ordered y to be salmon Benedict. We not really enjoyed the good and the price was very reasonable for what we got. I would normally rate the good a 4 but gave them a 5 rating due to their service and how attentive and friendly our waitress was. I would definitely give them a try.

This restaurant is inside the Marriott. It was quiet and cozy. The food was wonderfully seasoned and the waitstaff friendly! I had a cup of French Onion Soup, and a Ceaser Salad with salmon and grilled shrimp.

Rigatoni à la vodka with grilled chicken.

Lots of Gluten Free options, and staff is very knowledgeable! They have a celiac friendly fryer, which is not that common. The calamari was a bit undercooked, with some doughy and unbattered pieces. The batter was fairly bland and could have been seasoned a little better. Not necessarily an item I would recommend. The fish and chips however were well prepared, and salmon was the catch. Well cooked and not overdone. The rigatoni was prepared well; pasta, flavorful vodka sauce, and grilled chicken was fantastic. The garlic bread was perfectly toasted, and paired well with the pasta. Overall, good quality and options, especially GF. The service was excellent; from hostess to wait staff and you can't beat the views of the Columbia River and Interstate bridge.

I hate the meatballs which were very good. The restaurant is very small w/ minimal atmosphere. The hotel, where Ondus is in takes up the majority of the lobby if your looking for more atmosphere. Decent happy hour.

Brioche French toast with fresh bananas, candied pecans, whipped cream and drizzled with Nutella. Yummmmm

First time eating at Ondus today. Cute restaurant located inside the Marriott Hotel facing the Columbia river. We were greeted by the hostess and seated promptly. Our server was Madi and she was incredible. The breakfast menu features a great variety of sweet and savory options. We were all happy with our meals and how fresh and flavorful every bite was. The service was exceptional. The restaurant was gorgeous. Can't say enough about this place. Looking forward to trying Ondus for dinner!

A very nice option if you're looking for happy hour with a view on the Vancouver waterfront. Located in the AC Marriott, this restaurant has a better-than-hotel-vibe about it. A nice sized patio and a lobby bar area, in addition to indoor seating means there's something for everyone. We sat outside on a lovely fall day because why wouldn't you? Service seemed disorganized. But then our server told us she was new, so maybe she just needed some ramp-up time. She was attentive once she took our orders. We had the sangria ($14 on HH), the chicken skewers, the hummus platter, and the frites prosciutto. The sangria wasn't heavy. It was light and refreshing. I'm not a huge chicken thigh fan so I would have enjoyed the chicken more if it had been breast meat, but the sauce was good and it came with pickled veggies, hummus and pita bread (so, you don't really need the hummus plate). The hummus plate was interesting. Two slices of grilled baguette, pickled veggies and a few other veggies. I wasn't sure how you were supposed to eat the hummus. The fries were yummy! But I didn't think the prosciutto went with them; I'd leave them off, if the chef was listening to me. Servings were generous and prices were decent. I'd come back.

Crab cakes in honey mustard sauce with strawberry mandarin goat cheese and almond salad ($45)

3.75 stars. Ambiance is nice, with views of the water and bridge. The entirety of the restaurant is much smaller than I imagined. It is located right in the lobby of the hotel. There's nice nautical-like modern decor however, and there's plenty of spacing so you don't feel crowded from the parties next to you. I tried the crab cakes which were very tender. They were reasonably flavorful but nothing that aspired to be super memorable. The mustard sauce they sat upon was delicious. I also liked the salad was dressed in a white balsamic vinaigrette that paired well with the richness of the cakes. My child tried the "hand-breaded chicken nuggets" but didn't care for the tempura-like coating. She did enjoy the fries though. There were a diverse and tempting array of items on the menu which made it hard to choose from. My husband wanted to try their "Marry Me Chicken" dish but the server mentioned it took a long time to prepare so he went with the burger. It was rather large and he said it was pretty good. I like that they switch up a traditional bun for a herby looking ciabatta looking bun. The bacon also looked thick and plentiful. There were some type of small insect, most likely fruit flies buzzing all over our table unfortunately. They were trying to land on our food and drinks. Prices were extremely expensive, and parking was medium-easy as you park in the hotel garage and get your ticket validated during your meal. Not sure I'd rush to come back while in Vancouver but it was a pleasant visit nonetheless.

Reservation made for 3pm on a Tuesday, not busy at all. Tori was fantastic; helpful, attentive, and efficient - but we never felt suffocated. Our table enjoyed some salads, sandwich and truffle fries. Everything was delicious, no complaints at all. BEST TRUFFLE FRIES!! The FLAVOR!! These are dangerously delicious fries!!! The desserts were great, and I appreciate the variety they offer! Parking sucks, & it'll cost ya like $5 for a couple hours.... Ambiance, clean & simple. Odd choice on the lights, they look like recycled silicone implants.

Great new addition to the waterfront and especially to the AC Hotel. For me the stars were definitely the cocktails and the dessert! We were lucky to get here while it was still happy hour so we decided to order a lot of small plates to try different things. The Brussel sprouts and French onion dip in particular were my favorite! The Mac n cheese, pork belly, and wings were pretty good too but wouldn't necessarily order them again. The tropical lemon meringue is like nothing I've tasted - I never would've thought pineapple would go well with it but boy was I wrong. The chocolate cake was also decadent and heavenly. Great cocktail menu with good drinks. Service was top notch as well - friendly and attentive. I'd love to come back and sit out on the patio.

Had a wonderful time here last night celebrating a birthday! Staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. They really know how to make someone feel special on their birthday! Made reservations online and noted we were celebrating a birthday. We arrived at our reservation time and were seated immediately with a 'happy birthday'. Love it when you don't have to remind restaurants and they pay attention to the reservation details. It was a warm night, so we ended up sitting at a table in the patio doorway where we could get a lovely waterfront view as well as the cool air-conditioning fan. It was the perfect table! After perusing the menu, we decided on the fried pickles, French onion soup and the salmon BLT. All the food was delicious, no complaints. After our plates were cleared, our server brought out a yummy birthday dessert with lit candle. The complimentary dessert was a warm chocolate brownie and vanilla bean ice cream with whipped cream and fresh berries. It was delicious, and big enough for two to share. Overall a wonderful experience. The staff was so friendly! They didn't rush us either, which I appreciated since I was catching up with a friend. I'll definitely be returning to try some of their other menu items. Highly recommend! *Also wanted to mention that the restaurant validates parking in the AC Hotel parking garage. Just bring your ticket with you to the restaurant and your server will stamp it.

This is a must on Vancouver Waterfront. The service is outstanding and the food is amazing! We sat on the patio on a sunny day and it made the experience that much better. It was a party of 4 for 6:30 and we were seated right away.

I ordered a drink of the mixed drinks and my husband got a margarita. The drink was so bad - neither one of us could drink it. I don't think I've ever returned a drink I can't pound before haha. It was 10 minutes before I went home to the bar to ask for something different - no one came by to ask how things were. The guava choice I picked for the second - not good. Watered down flavors of who knows. The drinks at Wahi Hanna are amazing in comparison - especially with the Dole Whip vibe. The spam fries were $9 for half a can of spam cut up and put in the oven with a side of mayo? The loco moco was promising but tasted like something you'd get at Kenjis - not a Hawaiian spot. I feel like with a lot of tweaks in flavor - this could be a great spot.

The area has developed quickly and having grown up nearby and moved away years ago, it's amazing to see what's happened along here. Prices - well, everyone has their hand out along here. We were in town somewhat last minute staying at Hotel Indigo. The hotel provides $10 drink coupons so we decided to drop in for an impromptu drink while planning our dinner strategy. It was already 7p so no view but live music and a nice buzzy ambiance. Wait staff were fast and friendly, and before we knew it two delicious cocktails were in front of us. At the same time, I overheard the waitress at the table beside us saying that food could be ordered from El Gaucho downstairs. So we asked for a menu and started perusing. If you don't know El Gaucho it's a classic steak restaurant with lots of cuts and sizes, a sprinkling of seafood, the usual salads, and tableside this and that. A notch above Ruth's Chris, Morton's or The Capital Grille but with Peter Luger Manhattan prices. Yes, that's right, Manhattan prices in Vancouver. WA. The Couv is all grown up. Or at least trying to be, Like Witness Tree, El Gaucho has a mandatory 20% gratuity regardless of party size. Theoretically this shouldn't be an issue if you know restaurant culture and tip appropriately but I think a mandatory fee rubs many wrong to assume service will always be at that level. And on top of very high prices. A $72 6oz filet is $86, so those 8 bites better be damn good. That said, we ordered oysters, a filet, seafood pasta, and wine. The wine list was decent but not as extensive for a premium steak restaurant. Wines had the typical markup which meant $20-35+ per glass. Both the pasta and steak were good but - and this may sound picky - at $72 for 6 ounces of steak (a bar of soap) I expect perfection which means medium rare throughout. The steak was medium in some parts. If I can achieve medium rare throughout at home it should be possible here. So here's the math (rounded) for those interested. Total bill: $295. $225 food and drinks, $45 service fee (mandatory 20%), and $24 tax (8.8%). Interestingly, the 20% service charge is taxed which means we actually paid $49 or 28.8%. Had I been given the choice of my own 20% tip it would be applied to food and drink and a slightly lower bill. Not a huge deal but these are the little details - call it "nickel and diming" patrons - that rub many wrong. One note - another server came to our table before our food arrived and placed a steak in front of me. Before he could place the other dish I told him it wasn't our order. He picked up the steak and delivered to another table. In most restaurants - and certainly in a premium setting - that dish should have been remade. Whether perception or simple hygiene you simply can't do that. All in all, the Witness Tree was a nice spot, with tasty cocktails and ambiance. Prices and service fee will be off putting for some, and not sure this would be my go-to as there are many rooftop / view options nearby.

The Nash sauce was spicy/sweet and there was a ranch dipping sauce. The basket of nugz was huge! Definitely enough for 2-3 people. The fries were okay.
