    Loaded fries

Got recommended this place by a few people for their pizza, so decided to finally give it a go. Super nice staff with solid recommendations. Small, but great variety of beers. Had a delicious hazy IPA at the recommendation of one of the guys there. They had some cool little arcade games and pinball machines. Very old school cool pizza vibes. And a mystery set of stairs that I didn't explore but am intrigued about. Really dug the loaded fries. The pizza looked fantastic and was fresh, but there was something "off" about it that I can't quite put my finger on, but left me wanting more. Maybe I hyped myself up too much based on hearing so much about it. 3.5/5 but Yelp doesn't do halves.

    Paper in food.

Megabite Hwy 99 Went for lunch today with two of my girls. We couldn't use any of the 5 high chairs for my 6 month old as one was covered in dried sticky sauce and the others were so sticky and covered in residue that we couldn't get them apart. A gentleman from a table nearby even tried. I went to the car and grabbed my stroller for the baby to eat in instead. We asked for a menu to take to the table so we could decide without a wiggly baby trying to escape, the menu was laminated and sticky, covered in visible food. Unfortunately I didn't see the paper menu by the counter till I went back up to order. My bad 100%, I need to be more aware. Tables were clean, staff was friendly enough, the restaurant fluctuated between hot and cool, for a second I was wondering if I was having hot flashes 10+ years early. lol Food: My loaded tots were brought out 5+ minutes before my daughter's pizza. They were also missing the sour cream but they remembered the ranch request. And my tots where stuck and I mean stuck to the paper in the tray. I've never had that happen. I'm literally picking out paper from my food. At least My teen was happy. Did I complain to staff? Not until I couldn't eat my food with out paper as an ingredient. They said that's just how they do it. What? They offered to remake it the exact same way, I ask for a refund and left the food. Kids already think I'm a Karen when I complain.

Stopped in for a celebration pizza party over the weekend and finally got to try their pizza and jojos! I've been hearing such wonderful things about the pizza and food hear so I was excited to finally try it. The pizza was good. We had the pepperoni and also the combination. Both were thin crust but more chewy than crispy. We also had the mozzarella sticks and jojos. They mozarella sticks were good, nothing special. The jojos were just okay. I was disappointed because everyone raves about it and it tasted a little plain to me. Service was good, the staff was friendly. The parking lot for this establishment is very small and tight. The restaurant is small also but there is games inside for the kids to play. It felt like the air conditioning wasn't on because it got so hot inside, so one of the customers went up and turned the ceiling fan on above the table across from us. Overall, I don't think I'll be back. I prefer really crispy thin crust pizza and this wasn't really what I like. To each their own!

Large 2 topping with chicken and red onion. Adding cheddar is a nice touch!

Clearly a local favorite. Lots of ambience, charm and a surprising amount of parking at the 99 Hwy location. Staff is very friendly and cheerful both on the phone and when you get to the counter to pick up your pie. The vintage arcade games give it an 80's touch while lending credence to their name. We were just doing takeout but there looked like a lot of large tables in there if you're with a group. P ordered their largest 2-topping with chicken and red onion. For almost $40 it's a pretty small pie that lasted one evening with a few small pieces left split between two people. I wouldn't call it thin crust exactly as the plentiful cheese and toppings stayed upright when you held a piece to take a bite and the crust had a cracker crunch to it which is great for some but not for us. We like it softer and chewier. Not a fault, just not our preference. The pizza also seemed to defy physics in staying warm. Even when fully nuked in the microwave, it never stayed hot for long and when we got it home, it was room temperature. It's been a challenge to find good pizza as newcomers to the Vancouver area and our findings were verified by a native New Yorker who helped us move and has lived here for over 20 years. So far we've only found one place that we liked (not loved) and it wasn't found here.

When you are tired of having healthy fruits and vegetables all week, think of The Megabite for your junkie, American comfort food fix. They've got white flour starchy carbs. They've got greasy, meaty sauces. They've got gut-busting cheeses. You will need to be rolled out after your meal here. I'm not into junkie, unhealthy food, but when I'm craving a generous and well-prepared serving of fish-n-chips, I will think of The Megabite. The price on the online menu shows $8, but photo of my receipt shows it's closer to $15 in 2024. Video games are available to distract da kids while waiting for your food!

The food was average. I didn't like it very much. I don't recommend. The service didn't match at all. It took a long time to serve the food.

If you're on a date, i think sitting at the bar is fun. You can get a drink and drool and commentate on the pizzas coming out (and hope it's yours). We got the mushroom and sausage with red sauce and then the pistachio clam pasta. Oh my goodness! That pizza! Light as air crust. Not overly loaded with stuff but enough to be yummy. I could prob eat a whole pizza solo. And that pasta! It's so different than the light pizza. Decadent and unctuous with fresh but de-shelled manilla clams, the pasta was mind-blowing. We can't wait to come back to try more options. Ps: happy anniversary!

They have a combination of two and four top tables in the dining area. They offer a nice variety of pizza, salad and dessert options. Pricing is comparable to other wood fire Italian pizza restaurants in the area. We ordered the Margherita and Honey Formaggi. Both were excellent. The pizza crust was so pillowy on the inside and had a nice crisp on the outside. Toppings tasted fresh and high quality. We also ordered the Burrata Scapece to try while we waited for our pizzas. It was fresh and delicious. A wonderful combination of cheese, arugula tomatoes and zucchini. We only wished it came with more crostini. For dessert we tried the Torta Caprese and Cannolo. Both were delicious. The torta tasted like it had amaretto in it, so yummy! The cannolo was so creamy and had a perfect combination of sweet. We loved the chopped pistachios and mini chocolate chips on the ends. My husband enjoyed the candied ginger as well. Overall we were very happy with our first visit here. Everyone was warm and welcoming...just the way a restaurant should be. We will definitely return to try their other offerings. Would highly recommend.

I've tried quite a few pizza places around town since moving here two years ago, and so far, this one is my favorite. We both agreed this is the last time we'll come here. We came in and were greeted and immediately seated by the host. He was friendly and welcoming. They weren't super busy, but busy enough for a Saturday lunch crowd. It took him awhile to get our drink order, so when he finally came to take it, we went ahead and ordered our food as well. We decided on the bacon cheeseburger with chips, and the reuben with fries ($3.50 extra for fries). I've never understood the extra cost for fries vs homemade potato chips?! The chips have been hit or miss in the past, so we usually order fries for one entree just in case. Our food took about 45 minutes. Seemed way too long. Our server never came back and asked for refills on beverages during our visit either, which was disappointing. My burger looked good, but super greasy, even the bun was greasy on top. Maybe it was brushed with butter?! The burger dripped with grease while eating it. The chips were saturated in grease as well. Some of them so much they weren't crispy at all. Our server was nowhere to be found or I would have complained. They were left on the plate. My husband didn't like them either. He ended up sharing his fries with me. My husband liked his reuben, but the bread was burnt on the bottom. You couldn't tell at first look, only once it was picked up to eat. It had plenty of meat, cheese, peppers and onions. He enjoyed it overall. The fries were good too. Much better than the chips. The restaurant was clean when we walked in, but during our visit many tables were left dirty for far too long. Not sure if they were in the middle of a shift change, but it seemed like no one was around to clear plates or refill beverages. Someone from the kitchen eventually came out to get us our bill. Our plates were still on the table when we left. Overall a disappointing experience. There are far too many restaurant options in this area to spend $65 on lunch for mediocre, at best, food and service. We will not be returning.
