Found this place from my fellow yelpers. It was a beautiful day and wanted to eat dinner close to the water. I have to say parking was terrible. I am disabled and had a hard time fighting somewhere to park. Once we got in, we were greeted by a very friendly staff. We were sat almost immediately, which was fantastic. The place was pretty full. I ordered Arnold Palmer to drink. It may not seem that big a deal but these were the most delicious I've ever had. For me the lemonade usually has a taste of a dirty mop bucket. But this was so clean and fresh. We started with an order of calamari. Very delicious. It was not chewy or Oil soaked. Very clean very tasty. We also ordered a cup of clam chowder, which was good. For dinner I had the shrimp and grits. It came with a sausage, pasty type stuff, but I had it delivered on the side. This was my best decision of the night. I wasn't crazy about the flavor. But the shrimp and grits were fantastic. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the grits were very flavorful. My wife had the Parmesan crusted Sole. It was so good. The outsides were crispy with the cheese, but the insides were moist and flaky. Absolutely delicious. It also came on a bed of rice. It was perfect. The only drawback to my evening was the fact the bus boys kept trying to take our food off the table before we were done eating. I had to stop one guy from taking a plate. They was still half full of food. The place is very loud if you're looking for a quiet evenings, probably is not a good choice. Very hard edge noisy. If you're in the area, this is probably an OK choice. The food service were good. read more

We were craving seafood and Wildfin was nearby our hotel, so we gave it a try. It's located along the never Vancouver (WA) waterfront west of the interstate 5 bridge. Before entering and without knowing anything about Wildfin, I was expecting the Chart House or even McCormick & Schmick. However it's more similar to a high-end Bonefish Grille or stepped down Chart House. More margarita and house wine vs martini and select wines. Has a national chain feel. The menu has many seafood options but most are combinations with pasta, cream sauce, salad, sandwich or fried. The more naked fish selection is limited to salmon, steelhead and trout. Outside of this is a large selection of standard menu items like burgers, appetizers, and obligatory sampling of sushi options. Salads are limited and oddly placed throughout the menu. We ordered the miso black cod, harvest salad, a cup of seafood chowder, tacos and wine. The miso black cod was average for $38. I cook a lot of fish at home that's moist and flaky in the middle and charred outside. I believe this was steamed, overdone and a less generous size. The tacos were tasty with beef, grilled fish and pork belly (although they were out of pork). And the harvest salad was refreshing and fairly light. The wine list was limited and by the glass selections were somewhat standard. Our server (the bartender) knew nothing about the wine but allowed us to taste options. We asked for 9 oz and received what looked like at least 12 oz. In fact we couldn't drink it all. Overall the meal wasn't memorable and if we did return it would be for a drink, bar bites and maybe a burger. read more

The purpose was a family meet for several parts of the family. The members arrived at different times but the wait staff was very patient and helpful. The appetizers were very tasty. The cocktails also. Once every arrived and entrees ordered everyone was happy with their selection. The seafood shower was a hit with some. Popped in for a Monday lunch and was seated quickly, not busy at all. Wanted to sit outside as there were already people outside but they said they couldn't put anymore outside as they didnt have a server and it was the bartender serving them. Kind of a bummer as it was a really nice day. As for the food we got an appetizer of the brie plate. The cheese, bread and other pairings were really yummy! Highly recommend! For my main dish I got the lunch special of a half smoked turkey sandwich and seafood chowder. Both were really yummy. The server was friendly and attentive. The menu was extensive, offering mini fish choices, but also plenty of beef for those who might not care for seafood. The happy hour menu has some great deals, but please know this menu is only offered in the bar. If you get there early enough (4:30-5:30) they offer an Early Dinner menu in the dining room that is a great value (includes a starter, an entree and dessert from a limited menu, all for $35.) I had the sockeye salmon which came with broccolini, fingerling potatoes, and a few other vegetables and was delicious. My companion ordered the Dover sole, which was a very large portion and came with risotto. She enjoyed her meal as well. I had the shrimp appetizer and my companion ordered the bread which came with two different butters, a savory, and a sweet. Both were really good choices. We both were quite full, so we ordered the donuts as our dessert as we thought those could most easily be warmed and enjoyed later. They were delightful. Our server, David, knew the menu very well, including the wine offerings, and was helpful in our selection process. He was friendly and efficient. We came to WildFin American Grill for dinner. We went to enjoy a seafood meal by the Columbia River. The hostess -Keira was friendly and accommodating with our request. The parking is street parking and plenty of seating indoors or outdoors. James and Keenan were exceptionally friendly. Throughout our meal experience they were aware of our needs. I went for Mother's Day and service was really attentive and consistent with all workers. I had delicious martinis and dinner with my family. Our server went on break and we had staff continuously checking in on an and service was seamless and caring. Our meals were delicious and restaurant looked beautiful. In fair Wild Finns, where we lay our scene, once bloomed a culinary paradise so keen. When first it opened its doors with grace, the French onion soup did set the pace. Rich and golden, with a crusted crown, each spoonful was a taste of renown. But alas, as seasons did unfold, the tale turned bittersweet and cold. Where once was crispness, now lies a droop, the French onion soup a shadow of its troop. The service, once a dance so fine, now seems distracted, lost in time. Prices have climbed, as though in haste, yet quality has been misplaced. What once was feast, now feels like a jest, a memory of a time when Wild Finns was best. Yet still, we linger in nostalgia's glow, hoping for the magic to once more show. For in our hearts, Wild Finns remains, a place of joy despite its pains. read more

Wow! Who is hiring these people? Party of 6 Saturday night. Seated right away at a window table by a hostess with Zero personality. Our server, David, was incredibly inattentive all night. Once the food was served by the kitchen staff, we did not see David for at least a half hour, maybe more. Did not ever ask how the food was or if we could use more drinks. As I looked around the restaurant looking for David, I also noticed disengagement among the other servers and tables not cleared. Bill was $450.00. I am an "overtipper" for great service, but needless to say I undertipped David. What a wasted opportunity for himself! Wildfin, you obviously have a management problem. We love the waterfront and have already had to blacklist Twigs for similar issues. Repeat business is key but mine will go elsewhere to a smaller business that cares about their customers. read more

Been here twice now and have loved the food both times. Fresh shucked oysters are good, but I did feel like they weren't done well, I got quite a few pieces of the shell in my mouth. I had the Parmesan crusted sole with risotto both times. Fish was great but the risotto was very different both times. The cocktails are the best, and I love they have fresh herbs in them. Food was great! Hubby's steak was the best part. The sauce that came on it was trully phenomenal! Sushi and Prickly Pear cocktail were also very good! My sandwich was pretty dry (mostly the bread) and lacked a lot of flavor, so thankfully I had a salty au jus dip. Not sure if it's always like that or if mine happened to be a one off, but everything else was super great! Service was also very good! She checked in on us regularly. I appreciate that this place can support large groups or small tables with the dividers they had between tables. I will definetly come back when I find myself in the area. read more

WildFin is a solid restaurant option on the waterfront. I came for their happy hour on a Saturday and despite it being very busy my friend and I were seated quickly outside near the bar. I ordered the blueberry basil lemonade and found it to be perfectly refreshing and not too sweet or tart. For the main event, we got the seafood tower for only $20.95. The shrimp was delicious, but the clear star was the ahi tuna crispy rice bites. The calamari came with a jalapeño aioli, which was a nice addition, however, some pieces of the calamari were a bit thick for my liking. read more

We had a great first experience at WildFin! The location is unbeatable with views of the Columbia River. There is indoor and outdoor seating options. We were seated immediately at 5:30pm on a Tuesday night. Our server, Amanda, was attentive and friendly. We ordered the surf and turf with the filet mignon and sockeye salmon. We added the seasonal harvest salad. The salmon was fresh and came with a pesto sauce with tomatoes and added a great flavor to the fish. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection. It was juicy and tender. The surf n turf also came with purple potatoes and a few pieces of asparagus. The seasonal harvest salad was mixed greens, beets, apples, quinoa, and farro with a raspberry vinaigrette. It was refreshing and delicious. We loved everything we ate! Came here on a Tuesday night early evening and had no wait. Sat near the glass windows and enjoyed the nice view of the river and waterfront area. Service was good! Everything came as ordered and was enjoyed. I really liked the spicy ahi crispy rice! They had great flavor and are served like a sushi roll. The surf and turf was great too! YELP SHORT ANSWER: Absolutely this is a first class , causal, water front establishment than is all about fun... not inexpensive but well worth a visit or being a local. LOCATION: Amazing waterfront location, pricey real estate but you can park and spend the afternoon bar-hopping and just exploring. More great expansion of this waterfront area is happening. We used to live there now thinking about moving back just because of the waterfront. Parking is a bit confusing the first time, tall building and open lots be aware of your surroundings later in the evening. FACILITY: Wow, the lease on this huge space must be ginormous but it is so nice. Not noisy, great views, and easy access indoors or out. MENU: Only enjoyed dinner here but there were so many great options, some simple and lite and not at all expensive, other fancy and market priced. FOOD PREP: Exceptional. FOOD QUALITY: The quality of the prep did not hide average food. We have three dinner and all were amazing to taste. LIBATIONS: I did not have anything to drink here but one in our group did, she seemed to enjoy her two drinks... WAITSTAFF: Professional is the first work that comes to mind. Well managed and all seemed to have a passion for being part of the Wildfin experience. OVERALL VALUE: It seems very fair, we will be visiting again and so sorry to see Beaches going away, Kind of the same vibe a Beaches but newer and in a much trendier high-end location. This place is loud! But fun ambiance. Half price appetizers from 9- close. The calamari itself was good but there was a TON of the jalapeño aioli underneath, so some pieces became soggy. I chose the tacos for happy hour and I would give them a 3/5. The fish taco was the best, the pork belly was the worst ane the beef was right in the middle. The pork belly protein was super dry and crispy and the beef had no flavor. But, they were loaded with toppings. The bartenders were nice, provided suggestions and good chats. read more

To be completely honest, we only went to WildFin because we were given a couple of gift cards. We aimed to go at Happy Hour to take advantage of the lower prices on that menu. We were greeted by a big smile and seated immediately in the main area of the restaurant. We didn't see the Happy Hour menu so we were a bit confused. Our server, Beck, explained that the Happy Hour specials were available only in the bar area, but he quickly remedied that by getting the manager's approval, allowing us to order off of the Happy Hour menu. Although that menu is limited, the food items and cocktails offered were of incredible quality and wonderfully delectable. Can't wait to go back and order off of the regular menu. Came in on a work trip for dinner, everything was extremely fresh. Not pictured here was the kale Caesar salad with salmon. All the seafood is wild caught locally not farm raised. I walked in and sat at the bar area which was nice very open concert great views of the waterfront. The WildFin American Grill is a staple when we visit our grandchildren in the Pacific Northwest. My son and I went with the Smoked Trout BLT. We substituted the French fries with a cup of seafood chowder. That was the perfect choice. Using the Chowder as a sandwich dip paired great with the sandwich. We both enjoyed the meal. My wife went with the French Dip. The Dutch Crunch roll makes the sandwich complete for her. I sampled the sandwich and it was good. The French fries were also good but could have been a little crunchier for my liking. The service and ambiance were both excellent. Every time we visit Vancouver, we make a trip to WildFin. Great food, good service! They didn't have many vegetarian options. So I asked for a Alfredo fettuccine with seasonal vegetables and they were happy to whip it up. Be sure to ask how they can make a dish vegetarian, they were very accommodating. The inside is nice and if you can request a seat by the window, it would be a bit more enjoyable than the tables tucked in back. read more

Pros: + Servers were warm and attentive + Outdoor, bar, and table seating available + Great location that's right on the waterfront and super walkable Cons: - Food was very average What I Ordered: + Simply The Best Calamari; 3.5/5 - Cajun Seared Fish Street Tacos; 3/5 I love calamari, so I almost always order it when I see it on the menu. This version of calamari did not have the tentacles and was more on the chewy side, which wasn't bad, just not as good as others. The flavor, however, was great! I was debating between the pork chop or the recommended tacos. I should've chose the pork chop. The seared fish taco was ok; the beef taco was meh; the pork belly taco was the best. I might come back if I'm in Vancouver because I'm curious about the pork chop. I know, it's a seafood place, but I can't resist pork chops! read more

Met some friends for Happy Hour and sat outside since it was a beautiful day. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The happy hour menu is fairly small compared to other places and we felt as if a lot of the items on happy hour and the regular menu were a bit on the pricey side. Drinks were good, and food was okay. This was our first time back here in years, and we weren't that impressed. We do love the outdoor patio they have that has a great view of the water. read more

Other than the beautiful view, the ambiance was phenomenal experience, I highly recommend asking for a table outdoors when the weather is amazing. Service was great, not only was my server on top of it, I witnessed other servers who were just as friendly and diligent with their tables. The food I definitely enjoyed. I ordered one of the turf and surf options since I couldn't decide if I wanted seafood or a steak. The garlic prawns were delicious, I'm not usually a big fan of artichoke but with the creaminess and flavors of the garlic herb butter was so good, I finished the artichokes with delight. The petite tender was cooked to perfection, I asked for the chimichurri on the side since I don't like my steak with too much sauce. Went in yesterday for lunch. Sat outside as it was a lovely day. I got the cheeseburger for $16.00 something. Ordered it medium and it came out medium that's for sure. They give you some half way decent fries too. I like the ambiance here but they need to up their game in their burgers. They serve you a very small burger patty and they do not add any spices to the burger at all. Not very impressive. Our waitress was superb though!! Excellent lunch of clams with shaved fennel, andouille sausage onions and butter! Loved Veronica's service and such a smile! Sat at the chef's table which I enjoy when I am dining alone. Highly recommend although parking can be problematic. Just a lovely view along the boardwalk. read more
